Get away from it all and enjoy the serene and private surroundings that this house has to offer. Kick back and take in the breathtaking views of Santa Cruz, the ocean, a beautiful sunset followed by the twinkling of city lights at night. Enjoy all that Santa Cruz has to offer with just a short drive (less than 10 mins) to downtown. We offer a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, a very comfortable king size bed. Their is a completely separate downstairs unit that may be occupied by the owner occasionally. Inquire if concerned. Their is a security camera on the front deck looking over the driveway. Tell me a little bit about yourselves and what you are looking for your time in Santa Cruz.

Beautiful views and lovely place! We enjoyed a restful time and loved seeing and hearing so many birds! Comfortable bed, clean and modern bathroom, and plenty of windows for views and fresh cool air.

What a gem of a vacation rental in the hills of Santa Cruz!Expertly appointed with everything one could need, exceptional views of the ocean and redwoods, surrounding decks, super comfy bed, beautiful decor and artwork, light and breeze filled windows make this home a place you won’t want to leave. Nice and secluded, great view

Lots of communication, easy check in. Quiet, beautiful views. Comfortable, great for a couple, slept really well on the king bed. We enjoyed Happy the friendly dog’s visits! Would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful time at this charming hilltop property overlooking treetops and the ocean. Even though there was a heatwave, we didn't need air conditioning because the home is built in such a way that the cross ventilation provides a natural AC. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need. This is a great spot for a couple's getaway with no kids. It's only a 10 minute drive from town but you feel like you're secluded in the woods. We even saw hummingbirds come up to the hummingbird feeder by the window every morning!

Peaceful coastal stay

Our overall trip to Santa Cruz was one for the books, and our stay up in the mountains was quite pleasant. Nice and close to town, ocean views from the porch, and tons of wildlife. Easy peasy stay, definitely recommend.

Peaceful and serene

We loved the atmosphere and surroundings of the trees and wildlife. We enjoyed watching the birds and saw owls. The house has everything you need. We want to come back and stay longer.

Such a beautiful location with stunnng ocean views!! Private and so cozy!! Close to downtown

We had a wonderful time in this cozy cottage on the hillside with fabulous ocean views! Highly recommend staying here. Very clean with all the comforts of home, a well stocked kitchen, nice bathroom and a very comfortable king size bed!! All this nestled in the wooded private area with a great little deck to admire the view!

A Stay with a View

Very comfortable place for us. It had a view of Monterey Bay in the distance. Isolated in the hills but so close to town. Quite enjoyable.

Elegant and comfortable hillside retreat

My husband and I spent the weekend enjoying trees, tranquility, and ocean air while staying in this lovely rental. The hosts were welcoming and communicative. The Shakespeare festival, downtown Santa Cruz, and Henry Cowell state park were the other ingredients in a fabulous getaway weekend.

Exactly what we wanted

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home. Had really great views. Perfect location being just outside of the city with much to do! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Tom was very responsive to any questions. "Buddy" the next door dog was also great plus when he came to visit.

Morning coffee with a view

We enjoyed the peace and quiet after full days of activity. The views from the property are beautiful, whether you prefer the open vista with a view of the hills and ocean or the feeling of being in the forest with ferns, and an owl in the evening from the back porch.The bed is VERY comfortable, important after a busy day. The kitchen has all the basic equipment and then some. We enyoyed pour overs even though we forgot everything for coffee (except the coffee).

Love This Place!

Happy made our stay even better. Everyday she/he would bring us a toy. What a delight. Of course the location was perfect for us. We awoke to seeing a family of deer. Very special moment.

Excellent location, easy north or south connection to highway 1. House was very organized and clean. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view. Great decorating touches. Kitchen had every thing you could need. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Tranquil, relaxing, cozy—perfect!

Wonderful location up above Santa Cruz, looking out to the ocean. Provided gorgeous sunset vistas and sunrises. Even the fog banks rolling in up through the treetops were beautiful! House was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Very comfortable bed. All in all, a peaceful respite from this crazy world. Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful spot. The nature around us soothed my soul. We saw deer, bobcat, family of quail, roosters, bats and the friendly dog from a neighbor. The place itself was just right, almost, i wished it didnt have the stairs. It was decorated beautifully in a comfortable and sometimes eclectic way that made me smile. The only other drawback was the narrow road to get to the house. It was a little harrowing but i suppose that is the price you pay for the isolation. Thank you for sharing it.
