Condo that needs a update

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoy staying in Charlevoix and your condos are usually nice but not this one. Carpet was dirty and needed to be replaced. Couch was so filthy we would not sit on it.

Great view

We loved the location and the view of the draw bridge. We also loved the pool area. The unit itself was a bit dated and the carpet should be removed. We slept really good because the bedroom was in the back with no windows so it was nice and dark. The front desk told us they would call when the unit was ready and never did. We went there a few times and no one was at the front desk and we watched the cleaning staff leave the unit with their cart so we knew it was ready. Unfortunate that people don't follow through.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I wasn't sure if there would be anyone in the "office" when we walked in as we were given a passcode to get in to the building and most of the reservation and booking process was done through email. I was pleasantly surprise that we were greeted by a very friendly woman. It was nice to actually have some customer service. We found the room to be clean, appointed nicely, and well-maintained. We have been to Charlevoix countless times and this trip was as good as any of the other ones. It is a beautiful town with good shops and restaurants. This property is located for easy walking access to everything. The location was also excellent for just sitting on the deck and watching boats go by. We will stay here again.Thank you.

Charlevoix truly is a special place, and we're thrilled our property provided the perfect location for easy access to shops, restaurants, and relaxing deck views of the boats. We look forward to welcoming you back for your next visit!

Beautiful view.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is perfect for the view of coming and going if boat traffic. The water is a pretty blue. A nice balcony to sit and have drinks on. Walk to great restaurants for every meal. All in all a perfect location. My unit needs updating badly, still back in the 80s, and badly worn. The bathroom had visible mold in many places. There was dust and spider webs all over. When l mentioned this to the desk manager he just shrugged his shoulders. Housekeeping is letting it go and they get premium pricing for the room! Pictures of rooms make them look nice.....not really!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the location, the beautiful water view, and the convenience of nearby restaurants. However, I’m genuinely sorry to hear about the issues you encountered with the condition of your unit and the cleanliness. This is not the standard we aim for, and I apologize that we fell short. Your comments about the outdated decor, bathroom mold, and overall cleanliness have been noted, and I will be addressing these concerns with our team to ensure improvements are made. We value your input and hope you will consider giving us another chance in the future. Thank you again for your feedback.

Back again but needs some updates

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming there @ least since 1993 and have always enjoyed it. Couple of issues with this unit though...I sleep on the couch fold-a-way. My wife sleeps on the bed in the bedroom. The bottom sheet to cover the mattress was the wrong size..for a twin bed. The mattress had lumpy springs. I ended up covering the cushions with the twin sheet and sleeping on them. In the bedroom my wife had a hard time sleeping because ALL of the pillows were very uncomfortable and the bed was "hard". Last, the blind on the patio window did not block the light out @ night time very well. The front desk lady (Amanda)was very courteous.

I am sorry you did not have a good time in your unit. We would have been happy to exchange your sheets and pillows had we known about the issues you were having. The patio blinds are more for privacy than light filtering, but I understand the issue you were having with them. I will pass your review along to the owner of the unit and hopefully she is able to do some updating. Please give us a call for your next booking, my name is Rose I am the General Manager and I will be happy to give you a discount on your next stay! Rose

Don’t rent this unit!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The is the third year I rented a few units around Apple Fest and this has been the first unit that was not a fair value. Management should walk through it and advise the owner what they need to do as a minimum standard. I definitely overpaid for this unit. On the other hand the cleaning crew does a fantastic job!!
