  • Awesome and amazing

"A lovely villa in a very special location. For our previous visits to the USVI we have always stayed in a villa in the National Park on St John, but the Preserve at Botany Bay is so very much better than anywhere on St John. This place is untouched by tourism, pure natural beauty. We had the beaches to ourselves most days. The beaches, land and corals are pristine. We really enjoyed the peaceful serenity, yet its only a 15 minute drive to all the action and world class restaurants in Charlotte Amalie. Sirens Song is located above a cliff, with a 5 minute stroll to the beach. The 270 degree views of ocean, occasional sailboats and many uninhabited islands are amazing. The layout of the rooms, with the huge great room, worked really well for our family. There were 12 of us and we were all able to eat around the same large table. The listing description is accurate and the location even better than the description. The property is beautifully maintained, we couldn't have wished for anything better. Definitely recommended.... 6 stars!!"

  • West is Best

"We rented the villa for a month and it was perfect! My husband and I are building a house nearby and I have long dreamed of having a "house raising." We needed a place to put up our friends who came and helped frame up our home. We couldn't ask them to come work without providing a beautiful getaway. The first two weeks there were 4 of us, so we only paid for the main portion of the house. We took the entire house for the rest of the trip. There are two kitchens with the whole house, that is not clear from the pictures. We did not use the second kitchen much but the main kitchen had everything we needed. At one point my 85-year-old aunt visited and there were no stairs necessary as she stayed in one of the rooms near the main kitchen. We all spent almost every minute when "home" on the main deck (plenty of seating) eating, drinking, talking, and enjoying the million dollar view. The air-conditioners in the bedrooms were used by some, not others (our choice!). The house is comfortably isolated yet the owner has several properties close by and Peter and Nicole were there right away if we needed anything. We rented a Dodge Grand Caravan which carried 7 of us all around the island. Our favorite swimming beaches were 20 minutes from the villa near the University, the airport, and town, Brewers and Lindbergh. There is a hotel called the Island Beachcomber at Lindbergh that has a cute beach bar/restaurant with long-time local employees who are very friendly. I would highly recommend Villa Stone's Throw for a group getaway as it was a great value and an all around fantastic experience!"

  • Beautiful property with stellar ocean and island views

"We stayed at this home for a week over Christmas and can highly recommend it. The owners were super attentive to our needs and the house is clean, updated and well stocked. Having two ensuite master bedrooms worked well for our group plus we had plenty of space to accommodate our teenagers. The wraparound deck provides stupendous views and the hillside location is very quiet and private. We loved the sea breezes, the occasional short rainstorms, and picking fruit from trees on the property. Be prepared for hilly roads and plan enough time to get around the island. It was only about 20-30 minutes from spots like Charlotte Amalie and Magen's Bay Beach. Longer, about 50 minutes, to get to the Red Hook Ferry."

  • Quiet house in beautiful secluded setting

"Secluded area with stunning views. We swam and snorkeled from the beach in front of the house. The house is large and accommodating. We had an extended family of 10 and were able to spread out and sleep peacefully. The drive to the house does require four wheel drive, we had 7 people in our group and therefore rented 4 wheel drive ford explorer but a jeep would have been better for the road in. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked for VRBO house."
