  • Great Family Get Away

"We had a great time in South Padre with our family. The beach was beautiful and we could watch fireworks from the front balcony each night. The back balcony overlooked the two smaller pools and the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico. The sunrise was bright and beautiful each morning. The property was secure, and excellently maintained, and centrally located. The condo was very neat and clean, and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the extra large balcony, with the picnic table and plenty of seating. We look forward to coming back."

  • Great location

"Great location for the Galveston area. Easy to get to...easy to get around on the island. No more than 10 minutes from just about anything you want to get to (Pleasure pier, The Strand, etc.). Alva and Joe were great to work with in the booking process...didn't have any issues so can't speak to if they're good to deal with in that regard, but I would imagine so. The condo is ground floor by the smaller of the two pools. Great for when you're lugging a ton of stuff from the don't have to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to it. Definitely a plus. The second bedroom closet has some beach/pool accessories that were great (boogie boards, umbrella, beach chairs). Both bedrooms and bathrooms met all our needs. Kitchen/fridge/laundry made it easy to make lunches and such and keep beach/bath towels and clothes clean. The only "complaints" are that the oven takes a long time to heat up. I've seen that in some of the other reviews. Didn't impact our stay but did make it interesting when cooking a frozen pizza one night. The other is the Wifi in the condo was spotty at best. This is more of a reflection on Comcast than the owners. It is...ya know...Comcast. I would stay here again if we were to be in the area and would recommend this unit/complex (The Dawn)."

  • Great location and overall good time

"The condo was in a great central location. We were close to the beach, restaurants and shops. There were four of us which worked out perfectly. We had additional family over for dinner one night and had plenty of room to hang out. The only cons were it smelled like cigarettes when we first arrived, so we bought a plug in to help get rid of the smell. Also, the A/C was set for so warm it took the entire first night and us buying an additional fan to help cool it down. The hot tub never worked while we were there, but the pool was nice after the visit to the beach. Definitely suggest this place for convenience and accessibility to everything. The dryer has a tricky lint trap on the back wall inside the drum which NO ONE ever emptied, so be mindful of that when you go."
