Beautiful Palermo Charm 4 Bdrm-3 Bth Apt. Fantastic Location
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Palermo
We love Buenos Aires. We chose Cervino Street for the SAFETY of this particular area, the beauty of the apartment, and the proximity to parks, tennis clubs, polo and horse clubs, the American Embassy, Zoo, cute boutiques, flower stalls, pastry shops, cafes for people watching and and more. Cervino Street is a world unto itself and so beautiful.
Argentina is an interesting country that offers a variety of cultural, historical and environmental things to see and do, for both adults and children.
Having this apartment in this city - -and the wonderful people we are meeting because of it, has greatly enriched our lives. We really enjoy being a part of your vacation plans - a very important and significant part of your vacation! (Thanks for that. Linda)
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We have a beautiful apartment ready to meet all of your needs. Most of all, we enjoy life here and all the wonderful people we've met in our neighborhood.
When you arrive, our wonderful friend from NYC, Llewelyn C., and her better half, Jim, will meet and greet you upon your arrival and make sure you are as comfortable and settled in as possible.
Our doorman/Super, Victor, is the most helpful person and keeps a keen eye on things in the building and on the street too. He can organize an Argentine BBQ (Asado) for you on the roof-top.
Cervino Street is very special. Our apartment is located just across the street from one of the best gyms in the city. Day and weekly passes are available and that's very convenient.
A new restaurant recently opened called Annetta's. We have organized discount coupons for our guests and they have live music nightly with a piano and violin player. It is very romantic. One of my favorite Italian restaurants, Guido's, is also just up the street closer to the zoo. The owner has also offered discounted coupons for our particular guests. It's a very cute and interesting restaurant. There are many unique things to enjoy while staying at CASA CERVINO.
This is location of Apt. Best ice creme parlor and cafe on same street.
Owner's Map of Palermo
Thanks for considering 'Casa Cervino.'
Our apartment is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Buenos Aires and close to everything.
'Casa Cervino' is beautiful, comfortable, spaceous, bright and sunny!
Our apartment is one of VERY FEW 4 bdrm options in this particular neighborhood, thus a VERY ECONOMICAL option to a hotel.
CENTRALLY LOCATED to EVERYTHING. (Please see last review.)
WHY BUENOS AIRES? In 2006, I taught ESL in BA and rented an apartment nearby. We fell in love with THIS particular neighborhood and THIS street!
Cervino St. looks like a beautiful movie set in the 40's.
The local restaurant across the street feels and smells just like my own Italian Grandmother's kitchen!! The new Mexican restaurant just across the street is delicious and very romantic. The neighborhood is extremely safe and this was a major consideration.
Ray and I knew immediately this was our home. We hope you will seriously consider making Casa Cervino your 'HOME AWAY FROM HOME' too during your visit.
We are very particular about the upkeep of Casa Cervino and your need for comfort, cleanliness and full amenities.
We're very hands-on prior to your arrival and understand your concerns when choosing a Vacation Rental. Our PRIMARY GOAL is to do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to help make your experiences with us the best.
We know that you're making lifetime memories and we hope that our home can be a place for you to RELAX, REGROUP, and RECHARGE at the end of a busy day in a foreign country.
Thanks again for considering 'Casa Cervino.' Please..even if you don't chose us at this time, drop us a line with any questions and we'll do our best to help you in anyway possible. Thanks so much and a wonderful trip to BUENOS AIRES!! Regards, Linda, Ray and Llewelyn

The place is very well located; easy to get taxis and very close to downtown. Very safe and secure. The local manager is great (even recommended a fantastic place to get croissants!). The apartment is close to Carrefour supermarket. It is very well decorated and very comfortable. Stayed there two weeks and loved it!
Owner response:Dear Mr. S., Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family for almost two weeks. We felt so happy everyone felt comfortable, safe and at home in Casa Cervino and that Mrs. S. really loved the apartment. FYI: We have acted upon your suggestion and put in a nice AC unit in the downstairs sleeping area. We hope you'll come back again and thank you so much for your kind review. Happy Holidays.... Sincerely, Linda and Ray

As they say, location is EVERYTHING in real estate. The location of this flat is among the best in Buenos Aires. I have stayed in Recoleta and believe that this neighborhood in Palermo is far superior. What makes it unique is that everything you need and then some is within walking distance. For example, we counted about 7 different cafes all within ONE BLOCK of the front door! Supermarkets, Starbucks, shopping malls, parks, etc are all within walking distance of less than 10 minutes. Also unique is that this area of Buenos Aires is filled with shops and restaurants that are NOT on the main boulevards....it almost feels like a neighborhood in London as opposed to one in New York (for those who know those cities!). As to the flat itself, it is spacious, clean and very bright. The building is well run and quiet. Internet is available and fast: probably 8mb down and 1 up for those who care...this is important as I spent part of my stay working from the flat). Flat also has washing machine for those on extended stays. Another key consideration is that flat is owned by US based owners. While there are many reputable letting agents is Buenos Aires, unfortunately there are many unscrupulous ones too. Dealing with Linda/Ray made us feel very comfortable. Additionally, the two local managers (Llewelyn/Jim) are also native English speakers and very helpful for any questions you may have. Overall, I would highly recommend this flat. Sometimes one has to trade quality for location when picking a flat rental and remaining within a budget. I feel very confident that this rental is among the best offered on VRBO when considering location, quality and price. Throw in the fact that it is owned and managed by English speakers (I am part Argentine so I can say this!) and you really can't go wrong. Read the other reviews and you will see that the consensus is clear: Casa Cervino is a fantastic flat in a top location and manged in a first class way. What more could one ask for??!!
Owner response:Thank you to a beautiful family! Ray and I were so happy to be your hosts for ONE MONTH and our onsite manager really misses you and your wondeful mother and young daughter! You took that 'leap of faith' in staying in our apartment, and have more of Buenos Aires - - and Cervino Steet in your heart. Thank you so much for the beautiful review. It's so hard to describe a neighborhood and street as wonderful and beautiful as Cervino Street. We are not in Recoleta - - which is a 'destination spot' for many inquiries. Not being in Recoleta is the big PLUS for Casa Cervino and we're so happy you felt this way too. It just more quiet and relaxed. (And -given that we're only minutes away from Recoleta by cab or even walking, it's close enough to all of Recoleta and yet, centrally located to all the other parts of Palermo too. (Palermo SoHo, Hollywood, Chico..) Ray and I hope you return again soon to your Argentine roots. When you do, you always have a 'home' there waiting for you. Thanks again. Linda and Ray

We had a wonderful family week at Casa Cervino. Linda and Ray were wonderful communicators before our arrival and Llewelyn and Jim were equally as helpful when we arrived. Plenty of great suggestions for dinners, daily acitivities, even made Estancia arrangements for us. The Condo was spacious and luxurious, with nothing left undone. Nice treat to have clean sheets and towels mid week! The location was perfect with easy access to everything we needed and wanted. A perfect vacation. Thanks so much.

My family and I had the extreme pleasure of spending two-and-a-half weeks at Casa Cervino with our three children (ages 5, 3, and 1) and one set of grandparents (from December 9 to December 27). To say we had a wonderful time would be an understatement. From the moment we made our way from the airport to the duplex apartment, we felt right at home. We were welcomed with treats for our three children (fruit for the children, milk for the baby) after a long flight (and a bottle of wine for the grownups). Everything about the home was very comfortable (including the beds, which isn't always the case with family rentals). Casa Cervino couldn't be in a nicer, quainter neighborhood. This part of Palermo is in the center of it all and within a close walk or taxi from most of the major attractions in the city. Being so close to the zoo, the botanic gardens, and the Japanese gardens was an added treat, and one we took advantage of frequently. Linda and Ray provided us with plenty of information prior to our arrival and Jim and Llewelyn were right on hand for any questions we had during our stay (both regarding the apartment and sightseeing). We heartily recommend Casa Cervino to any families looking for their own private home in a fantastic neighborhood in Buenos Aires.
Owner response:Dear JJ and Michelle, Thank you so very much for your wonderful and kind comments. It was our pleasure to have you and your beautiful family as our guests at Casa Cervino. We were also very happy to have had the opportunity to meet you in person prior to your trip. We kind of 'lived it' with you! We're so happy you enjoyed your stay with us, enjoyed the apartment and that it met the needs of your young family, and that you also enjoyed this very special and unique neighborhood too. We hope you will return again one day to Casa Cervino. Thank you so much on behalf of Ray, Llewelyn, Jim and myself. Warmest regards, Linda Miele

My family of 4 stayed at this apartment in October 2010 for 10 days. We could not have chosen a better place to stay in the whole of Buenos Aires!! The apartment is WONDERFUL! It is very spacious yet warm and welcoming at the same time. We truly felt as if we were in our home away from home! We could have stayed for months! Nobody in the family was home sick! :) The apartment offers you all the amenities you would have at home - a large kitchen with any utensils you could think of. Spacious dining room, eat in kitchen area, bathrooms and bedrooms. The apartment is equipped with the smallest little details of what your home would have (down to batteries!) so you will never want for anything. Casa Cervino is located in a quiet and safe area of Buenos Aires (Palermo). We never had to fear about walking around late at night as a family or even alone some evenings. Although located in a quiet street, Casa Cervino is within minutes of walking distance from attractions such as the city zoo, Evita Peron's museum etc. In addition it has some great restaurants in the neighbourhood (all kinds of different cuisines), the best ice cream parlour in town and is conveniently located near the subway system and grocery stores. The building super - Victor - was amazing. So courteous and kind. Always willing to help with any questions we had. Linda and Ray, the owners, were absolutely wonderful to deal with. They were unbelievably accomodating and couldn't do enough for us. We can't say enough wonderful things about this apartment, the owners, the city and really hope that if you are considering visiting Buenos Aires you start off your trip in the best way possible - by booking this apartment as your home away from home! Bon voyage!
Owner response:Thank you E!! Ray and I really appreciate your comments and so happy your experiences in Buenos Aires and renting from us were positive. That's the only thing we could hope for with all of our guests. Please come back with your family anytime. Victor (the doorman) always asks about you all and sends his regards. Since your stay at Casa Cervino, we have added a few more pieces of interesting art work in the bedrooms and there's another sidewalk cafe just up the block a bit that is bustling. It's so much fun to sit there and 'people watch.' Thanks again E. Kind regards, Linda and Ray

I stayed in this beautiful apartment almost 2 years ago with a couple of friends. I loved that the elevator stopped right in the apartment. It was very spacious. Also loved sitting on the balcony's for breakfast and for a class of wine before bed. Victor the super was very "Super" and always opening doors and greeting us every time he saw us. Vivi, the apartment manager was also very sweet, even checking up on us during our stay and when we got back to our own country. The parking garage guys across the street were also very friendly. We loved going to Voulez Bar, (restaurant at the end of the block) for any meal. The food was fabulous no matter what time of the day. Well, except Sundays when they were closed. We would then eat at the Pizzaria just across from Voulez Bar. Both restaurants had fabulous friendly staff. Loved having a bank at the end of the street for easy cash exchange. The area is always clean and safe with police on almost every street 24/7. I felt safe to walk by myself. It's a beautiful area, with lots of parks and shops. I can't wait to go back and safe in this apartment.

Our family of 5 stayed here and had a great time and plenty of room. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. Linda, the owner, was even kind enough to show my sister (they both happened to be in BsAs at the time) the apt in Oct, prior to booking it. Great location - very safe, with policemen on the corners. Apt has wireless internet, hairdryers, coffee maker, etc - everything you could need (no dryer, but theres a laundry place across the street) and an atm nearby. Voluez Bar is a great restaurant at the end of the block (much better than Anneta, which is at the other end of the street). It's about a 90 peso cab ride from the airport (get a radio cab from one of the cab stands, *not* a guy on the street). Also highly recommend the Buenos Aires free tour and a trip to Iguazu!
Owner response:Thanks very much for comments. Much appreciated. On and near Cervino Street, there are many restaurants and small bistros and each have their unique styles. There is also Bella Italia which is quite elegant, and the small, family owned cafe directly across the medium on Cervino where all the locals go for coffee, newspaper and lunch. Great food and you feel you are in Grandma's kitchen. There's also Lucky Luciano just down street as well and this is very cute and interesting inside, with great food and atmosphere. Ray and I have yet to try all the restaurants in the area (and new ones come in every time we return), but this is our goal! Thanks. Linda PS. Also, there is wonderful coffee cafe right inside the Eva Peron Museum which is just two blocks away. Very nice.

Our family of 5 traveled to BA this past January. We loved this beautiful, spacious apartment. The best part was feeling the convenience of being at home while on vacation. Located on a quiet street, the family felt very safe and at ease, especially for being the 1st time traveling outside the country. The staff of the apartment building was very tentative and helpful to our needs, as well as very friendly and personable with our family. Smooth, easy transaction with the owners…they were very accommodating and helpful with all the questions I had. I have recommended this listing to many of my friends and plan to stay here the next time my family goes to Argentina.

This apartment was terrific! Great location, nicely appointed, light, lots of room including a deck to sit out and have coffee. Near a bank, several restaurants and shops and grocery store and walking distance to lots of interesting sights and neighborhoods. Quiet street but near enough to activity. Secure, very nice help at the time, although she is no longer there for personal reasons. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a well- priced, airy and comfortable, safe and quiet place to stay.
