Indian Pass house description

Our home, Lagoon to Sea, is a life time dream come true. A great location on mystic Indian Pass. Lagoon to Sea sits on a high bluff on a large 2 acre estate. Sitting up high gives you a panoramic view of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. This 2009 NEW HOME has 360 degree water views. Spectacular and unique location featuring a wide and peaceful beach in your front yard and a PRIVATE lagoon front full of wildlife in your backyard. You will find breeds of birds including owls, bald headed eagles living in the backyard . There is an owl who nests at night in our tree and we can hear him WHOO-WHOO. We have a large yard for your children and pets to play. Bring your boat and water toys as we have plenty parking and water access. The boat launch is 2 minutes from Lagoon to Sea.

This beautiful 2100 square foot custom built home has all the upgrades including hardwood floors, granite counter tops, Bertazzoni Italia stove (my favorite), gas fireplace and grill, wrap around screen porches. The floor plan is very open with abundant amount of windows. There are views everywhere. Water to water. The outdoor space is generous and one can view the water from any angle. The large porches off the master suites are private and relaxing. The wind in your face takes all your stresses away. There is a mini refrigerator to keep cold drinks and a private 180sf covered screened- in porch to sit and relax and enjoy your morning coffee. Hey all you "Fishin Hookers", believe it or not, especially you "Northern guys", there is a ton of fish, right off the beach in front of Lagoon to Sea. Just head down to Port St. Joe bait store, get a license, choose your bait and head out to Paradise with your favorite beach chair. I used those "pink bacon looking thingies" and caught, of all things, Catfish! The house was excellent, very clean and comfortable. Loved the screened in porch that wrapped around the house. The views of the beach were both beautiful and very relaxing. Weather was good too, considering the month of February---. We had several days in the 70's and plenty of sunshine, enough to make us forget the "Winter from Hell" back in Ohio. The beach was really wide and our furry member has never gotten so much exercise. So, leaving that beautiful place was difficult. Thanks goes out to Leslie who was always there to help us!

Owner response: Than you for your wonderful review. Great information about all the fish that's ready to be caught right in the front yard of Lagoon to Sea. I really enjoyed getting to know your family. We hope to see you again next year. Leslie

We were lucky to spend the month of January here, with temperatures in the 50's, lots of rain, and an ice storm. I know from vacationing years in the area, the weather was not typical. But, there was no better place to relax than this gorgeous and spacious house. The open floor plan with stunning Australian Cypress floors provided striking views of the ocean and lagoon. Once I saw the master bedroom upstairs, I announced, "I may never leave this room." The 180 degree view of the ocean was spectacular, and even with the door to the screened porch closed, I could hear the ocean. We had two fur babies with us, who enjoyed walks on the beach and romps in the spacious yard near the lagoon. Even in January, lots to do: walking the beach, visiting historic sites in Port St. Joe and Apalachicola, relishing seafood in the many restaurants, seeing manatees and alligators at Wakulla Springs, learning about the ecosystem at the St. Joseph Buffer Preserve and the National Estuarine Reserve in Eastpoint -and so much more. Family visited for a few days during the month, and there was plenty of room with privacy. I was pleased that the house is easy to maintain. There were minor supply needs after we arrived that needed to be addressed (light bulbs, battery, etc.) but Leslie responded quickly. It is a lovely home, with many upgrades - definitely notches above most rentals in the area.

Owner response: We are so glad that you enjoyed the month of January at Lagoon to Sea. The weather this year was not typical but still was more comforting than the heavy snow storms to the north! Thank you for writing about other things to do in the area as it helps our next excited visitor. We love this area and never want to leave the picture of paradise.

The location and the property itself was wonderful! Our family had the perfect place to relax, sun and do some fishing. The house is lovely and was the right size for our group of five people and our fur babies. We were pleased to be able to vacation with our furry children in such a great house! I would highly recommend this property for a get away. Leslie could not have been more accomodating and easy to work with.

Beautiful home. We enjoyed the beauty of the home and the beach. There were just a couple of issues, but we were able to get results from Leslie who was very attentive. Hopefully they will replace the coffee maker which takes at least 45 minutes to brew a pot of coffee. Also bring extra towels, as one towel per person applies. The pots and pans were a bit worn, but Leslie brought a pan that was quite usable. All in all it was a good stay.

Owner response: So glad that your family had a good vacation. We provide 3 towels (small, med, large) for each person. I was happy to immediately respond to your request for additional towels ( in addition to the 18 that was provided for your family). In addition, a new four cup coffee maker, which is quicker than the 12 cup coffee maker, has been added to the kitchen for more convenience. The best of both worlds... quicker and more!

My family really enjoyed our week at "Lagoon to Sea". From the beautiful views, comfy living areas and bedrooms to the super kitchen, it had it all. The screened porch especially made the stay wonderful because the bugs were terrible! An added bonus to the week was the neighborhood peacock that came and visited us. My children (and myself) loved to feed it and take up close pictures. We were even able to find a few feathers to bring home. House had plenty of room and the screened porch was ideal! The only thing was lacking was the screened porches off the bedroom. Thanks again for letting us stay and returning the very important princess pillow!

Owner response: What a treat to meet the local peacock! He lost his mate last year but stays very close in the neighborhood. So glad that your family enjoyed your stay. The large wrap around screen porch is great. We have added the screened in porches upstairs also, so open the French doors and let the cool breeze come in. We look forward to having you again soon...We are glad that the princess pillow found its way home to your daughter.

My husband and I were in desperate need of a beach getaway with our fur-children. We found total perfection at Lagoon to Sea. The house was immaculate with all the amenities of home. We both love to cook and were able to cook up a storm in the fabulous kitchen - complete with Bertazzoni stove. The living room is super comfortable with an enormous TV that is viewable from the kitchen. We loved spending evenings watching the ocean on the screened in porch whilst barbecuing on the gas grill. From the master bedroom there is an unbelievable unobstructed view of the Gulf. If you open the french doors off the bedroom you can hear the ebb and flow of the waves crashing on the beach. The private beach in front of the house is a short walk, about 2 minutes, if that. From the picture on VRBO you can see a road that separates the house from the beach. The road is a small access road from the beginning to end of Indian Pass - barely any cars travel on it. Most days on the beach we never saw another soul. It was like having a private island. Dogs are allowed on the beach, and the community is very dog friendly - unusual for Florida beaches. On several occasions we saw pods of dolphins swim by not so far from the beach. So cool. There are two towns within easy driving distance. Our favorite was Apalachicola. The town feels like a through back to the 1950's before Florida became overbuilt. It is picturesque, with several nice restaurants to dine at. Apalach (as the locals call it), is famous for their oysters. As an oyster lover, I would say they are some of the best I've ever had. The town has several cute shops. And everyone we met was super super nice. Leslie, who manages the property is very helpful and accommodating. She is a phone call away and very responsive if you should need anything. We plan on returning as soon as possible. We plan on returning as so as possible.

Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to write down on paper your wonderful experience at "Lagoon To Sea". This is a fantastic location that is not a typical rental area. A large portion of investors in this Camp Palms subdivision keep the homes for their own personal use. These special properties are about 2 acres which extends from the lagoon to the sea.(hence the name). The owners chose to build on the lagoon side for safety, experience the wildlife and breathtaking panoramic view, with a long stretch of secluded gulf front beach. This is the only place in Indian Pass that has this uniqueness and provides the BEST of both worlds! Thanks for the wonderful pictures and we will see you again in the fall... Leslie

This home was built by owner and has hand-inspired touches everywhere from the beautiful crystal lights in the kitchen to a beautiful crystal globe over the tub in the master bathroom. Cooking in this home was a dream. The stove was wonderful to use. In spite of occasional fog and rain, one always felt uplifted in this home. The owner also put a heavy investment into her entertainment system in the living area. I would heartily recommend this home as a vacation home.

Thanks for letting us stay in your house. This was our third visit to Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, and this was by far the best house we have rented. Excellent views of the gulf of mexico form the living room and master bedroom, lagoon views from the back and 2nd master. Large area of essentially private beach. House is across the street from the beach, but traffic on this basically dead end road is VERY light. Top quaity appliances and flat screen TV's. Awesome kitchen, and the bathrooms are very fancy with great showers. Found out that this was built as a dream home, not a rental, and it really shows. No charcoal grill -- has a gas grill, so don't bother to bring charcoal/lighter fluid.

Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing, girls getaway.

Owner response: We are so HAPPY that you enjoyed our custom built dream home. Every detail was from our heart and it took over a year to build it! We appreciate your family taking such good care of our home, as if it was your own, and can't wait till you visit us again! Lagoon To Sea

Thank you ! Thank you very much for letting us stay in your house for the last few weeks. The house was absolutely stunning. We had a wonderful time and hope you will let us come back again sometime. You know how it's the silly things you remember? The bed in the master bedroom was so much nicer than I expected. I never sleep well away from home but this bed was wonderful. And we also loved being on the beach. Being able to stay out as much as we wanted because we were so close was fantastic. Thank you again. The Cronins
