Fat Chance is a lovely vacation cottage located on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. The villa is well appointed, spacious and well priced, making it perfect for families of up to six people or for up to four adults. Located very close to the world famous Baths, the villa is also convenient for the Mad Dog pub, the Top of the Baths restaurant and shopping area which are all less than five minutes walk away. Virgin Gorda's beautiful beaches and the amenities of Spanish Town are about ten minutes drive.
The house sits on three acres, nestled among some of the large boulders that the island is famous for, making it a very private residence. There are two large bedrooms of equal size, each with en-suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a bunk room which can sleep two children. There is a fully equipped kitchen as well as spacious and open living/dining room with double doors opening onto a large deck for entertaining. The flagstone deck in the rear of the house also has a small plunge pool for cooling off. A further raised deck has beautiful views of the bay.
Fat Chance is managed by Tropical Care Services, a Virgin Gorda based property management company. The staff will not only provide twice weekly maid service but will also be available to help you make the most out of your island vacation.

- The house is located on three acres of land and is very private. It is 1 minute walk from the Mad Dog bar (best rum punch on the island) on a quiet road and less than 5 minutes walk to the Baths. The house has several decks with sea views and is nestled among some of the huge boulders that Virgin Gorda is famous for. It is conveniently located to both Spanish Town as well as two of the islands best restaurants, the Mineshaft and the Rock.

This is Caribbean heaven. Not chi chi and shiny and swanky but totally charming, comfortable and would thoroughly recommend staying there. The journey to get there is quite a schlep but when you get there the stresses of the journey will melt away in seconds. The water and beaches are like nothing else on earth. We had a very relaxing stay of not doing much but if you are the sort that likes watersports, there is plenty to do to keep you occupied. I could have stayed there for at least 3 weeks - the slowdown in pace of life from London was like tonic for the soul. The house has amazing outside spaces for dinner and I found myself gettng up very early to watch sunrise from the sundeck - quiet moments and memories that I treasure.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

This is a really lovely house in a great location just 5 mins walk from Spring Bay. The house is very well laid out with a barbeque area for eating outside and the place is spotless. We spent a lot of time on the beach swimmimg and exploring the caves at Spring Bay. Highly recommended for a relaxing break in the sun.

Virgin Gorda is the most peaceful, beautiful and magical Island with incredible beaches - there is so much to do and see, or you can simply sip cocktails, read books and completely switch off. This property is the perfect house to rent...tastefully decorated, fantastic views, seconds from the beach and has everything one needs for a special and memorable holiday. I loved it so much, I have booked the house again for November this year!

The house is so lovely and cosy - like a home from home but in the sunshine! Great outdoor space with bbq, sun loungers and tables and chairs on all sides. Even a little solitary reading spot with views over the island. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very clean and tidy with open air showers which is a lovely feature. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. Only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to The Baths. It is also 2 mins walk to Mad Dog which is a popular little cocktail bar.

Relaxing Cottage

We spent four awesome days at the Fat Chance Cottage and had a wonderful time. The Property manager is available at a moments notice should you need anything. This two bedroom, two bath cottage is located about 500 feet from the Baths and Devils Bay. It is also very close to Spring Bay. Al three bays have boulders to climb on and awesome ponds for snorkeling. The Cottage has a fully equipt kitchen and a gas grill for your use. There is a plunge pool in the back yard which was nice to cool down with after a day out at the beach. The Plunge pool is 2' x 3' about 2' deep. It's not for swimming...but is nice to cool off with. The house has many books in its library and games and cards for you to play. The livingroom furniture is new and the house is very clean. The outdoor showers are wonderful. If you are an early bird, you can enjoy the sunrise from top deck. There are boulders in the backyard which provide shade and trails for kids to enjoy. My teenagers really enjoyed them. Every room has a ceiling fan and there is one additional fan in the house. The only issue we had was that there is not air conditioning. We were not in the house during the day so this was not a problem. One night was very hot, but the other nights there was a breeze which cooled the house down. This house is great if you are on a budget or want to be close to the Baths. It is also close to Mad Dogs and Top of the Baths Restaurants. Top of the Baths is over priced but the food is very good. Our favorite place to eat was Mermaid's which is on the dock of the bay, about a mile away. The food is fantastic and the view is awesome. I highly recommend you rent a car on Virgin Gorda as there are so many places to see such as the Coppermines. We rented through Mahogany Car Rentals. We loved this cottage and are making plans to return in the future.

Been lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay twice here and hope to go back again soon. Superbly located in quiet area but close to lovely beaches. very relaxing place to spend a few weeks in the sun... highly recommended.
