Southern Charm is a Gone with the Wind style home about 100 yards from the beach with beautiful beach views. Soft beach colors used throughout the house combined with antiques and the most modern of conveniences. St. George Island has experienced no impact at all from the oil spill. Commercial fishermen came to our area to fish and oyster from other oil impacted areas.
Upstairs master bedroom is complete with spectacular views, walk in shower, and jetted two-person tub. Southern Charm is about seven years old with a private pool (which can be heated for a fee) and only surrounded by houses on two sides. Beautiful landscaping surrounds the home and pool combined with the natural beauty of St. George Island. Because the home is in a private gated area, there are no view interruptions of power lines or cables, just nature, bike paths and quiet.
It is easily accessed by Tallahassee airport (a one and a half hour drive) and also only about two hours from Panama City. Quaint taverns, stores and restaurants are on the island itself, but one town over (20 minutes) is the sea town of Appalachicola (world famous for oysters) where you can shop for antiques, visit award winning restaurants and go to the movies or see a play.
Southern Charm has its own private heated pool complete with table, chairs and lounging furniture which is also beautifully landscaped. Extra parking and parking which would accommodate a boat is on the property. Located one block from new clubhouse and beautifully renovated community pool and tennis courts.

- St. George Island is approximately 20 minutes from Apalachicola, which offers a unique fishing village situated on a town square with specialty shops, restaurants and night life. Hundreds of beautiful, historic homes are also fun to see in Apalachicola. Great for a cloudy day away from the beach.

Southern Charm lives up to it's name as a hospitable, comfy setting for a fabulous girls' getaway! SC offers all of the comforts of home while being away at one of the most beautiful beaches. With the central heart of the home allowing us all to hang out and chat away, it was also a large enough house that you could find a nook to go read and get some private time, too. The short walk to the beach and the privacy of the pool were two of my favorite features of SC. This was the perfect place for our trip! We will definitely return!

We just returned from a week at Southern Charm. This house is perfect for one or two families. We enjoyed the privacy of this house and the short walk to the beach. The kids loved riding their bikes to the boardwalk. The pool was private and so much fun my kids. The kitchen was well equipped to cook anything. A vacuum would have been nice after a few days, but that would be my only complaint. What an awesome vacation!!!!!
