Bugs or mosquitoes very rarely enter as the combination of the ever present breeze and comfortable shade sufficiently cool down the outside living area. We do our best to offer an affordable and comfortable stay, within a relaxed atmosphere, inside off a friendly small complex.
The garden of the complex has just been renovated and has stairs to get in and out of the water, 2 outside showers and also a place to clean your diving gear.
Kralendijk, the small village, is only 7 minutes away by car, where you can find restaurants, bars and supermarkets.

Very pleased with overall stay! Minor issues with condo--couldn't figure out washer/dryer as all instructions were in Dutch, but we really didn't need it. We also couldn't get a wireless signal, but there was a hard connection we could use. (Besides, don't you want to disconnect while you're in paradise?) Everything else in condo was in great shape and the location couldn't be better! You're essentially halfway between the north and south dives sites and you're right by the turn-off to Lac Bay for wind-surfing. Having the steps right down to the water make early morning/night dives super easy, and since that part of the reef doesn't have any public dive sites, it's an extremely healthy area. There is a dive shop within walking distance of the condo, but we used Wannadive again so we'd have both a north and south location where we could swap tanks. Since the gate to the property is always locked, we left our gear out on the deck all night and never had an issue. We met a wonderful couple in the condo next door (they said our condo was the most updated in the complex) and plan to see them again when we all return next year. In fact, we're disappointed this condo is already booked during our planned vacation, so we'll be trying another VRBO listing after having such good luck with this one. One funny thing . . . we had a small, furry visitor one night, which isn't too surprising on an island like Bonaire. When I mentioned it the property manager, she smiled and said, "That's why I own cats." I love Bonaire--go with the flow, and you'll love it too.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
