Year Purchased: 1992
Although I am a native Long Islander, I spent all my summers vacationing on Cape Cod with my parents. I went to Endicott College in Beverly and later worked at Jordan Marsh as an associate buyer, again spending summers on the Cape. After moving to San Francisco, I would come east to vacation on the Cape. My parents moved to their dream retirement home in the 70's, so again a place to stay!! My husband got transfered to New York, and so back to Long Island and now a time to buy a cottage of my own on the Cape!!!
Why the Owner Chose Dennis
Having spent my childhood vacationing on Cape Cod every summer at the Bay Sands View Cottages in Dennis,(which is now Mayflower Beach) I wanted to be as close as possible to all those wonderful memories of my youth. The cottage that I selected has brought me much joy over the years and Mayflower/Bayview Beach area is still as peaceful as it was all those years ago.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
To me the best part of the cottage is that it is on a rural lane, but in fact only about 500 yards to the most beautiful beach on Cape Cod Bay. There are no stairs to the beach and the sunsets are breathtaking !!!! A nice walk along a country road will end on 6A with the Dennis Market, the ice cream shop, great restaurants, village green, and all sorts of shops. The stars at night bring out all sorts of peacefulness of the heart. A dream vacation always !!!!!!!

We had a great week at this property. It was perfect for my family of four. The beach was very close and it was close to a well stocked grocery store, pizza place, fish and chips and the best icecream place. We loved it and would definately go back next year.

An ideal cottage: Clean, quaint, a short walk to beautiful beaches, outdoor shower, great little deck, and on a peaceful street. What else could you ask for in a Cape vacation! Good weather? well we got that too! Mayflower/Bay View Beaches are perfect for kids, and are some of the nicest bayside beaches you will find. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation.

Couldn't ask for a better location. A 2 minute walk to the beach, the DPM (Dennis Produce Market) right down the street (best grinders by the way), almost never have to get in the car to drive anywhere. The duplex is very charming and clean with a large backyard for kids. Look forward to next years vacation!

My family had such a great time in the cottage. It has everything you need and is super clean. It's a two minute walk to the beach. We can not wait to go back next year.
