The best of both worlds! Build on the narrow barrier island of Fenwick, this custom home is a sumptuous, multi million-dollar home that sits on the bay, but is located just an 10 minute walk to the the ocean. Enjoy spectacular views of the bay. Bring your own boat or paddle off from the private dock in one of the new kayaks. Swim in the ocean all day & return to the heated pool -extra fee for heat) a dip before dinner. This fabulous property includes 2 permits for parking 40 feet from the beach, plus the use of 3 kayaks and 4 beach bikes. The house boasts 3 master suites, 1 contains a soaking tub & a large walk-in shower with 2 shower heads. Another bedroom includes a single and a queen; 1 bedroom has 2 sets of bunks; and the den offers 1 queen bed, and living rm has a slpr-sofa. Adjacent to the pool, the den also features a wet bar. Amenities include 2 fridges, 2 sinks, Hi Speed Internet with WIFI, a 42 inch HD plasma, 4 more TVs/DVDs. Top deck is large and provides sunset celebrations
Going to the Beach and Other Details: The guarded beach is about an 10 minute walk away from the house and there is off street parking for 6. And if you need it, we supply parking passes for on street parking. There is also access to a large state park beach right up the road with plenty of parking. The park has life guard, showers, rest rooms, snack bar, and umbrella rentals and the beach was replenished in the Fall of 2005 so it is very wide. Fenwick’s beach is guarded, quiet and not at all crowed as you need to have a resident pass to park which restricts the number of beach goers. We supply 2 Wonder Wheel Beach Caddies that holds Full 48 qt. Cooler and up to 4 chairs, plus sturdy mesh bag storing tons of gear.
Day Trip about a half hour from Fenwick: Rehoboth Beach: The town is much larger than Bethany and boasts many shopping and dining options. You can also go antiquing. There is also fabulous sales tax free outlet shopping at 140 Outlet stores. Lewes: Smaller than Rehoboth but a good day trip...very quaint.
Ideal for Families and Groups: This would be the perfect house for a family, a group of golfers, small family reunions, showers, 'crafty ladies', small business or religious retreats-attendees must stay in the home, or just for a quiet vacation. . You could lease this house for a weekend, week or a month, and enjoy every minute of the comfortable and beautiful surroundings provided in the furnishings, appointments and neighborhood
The town Fenwick spans about 14 blocks and the stores and activities are an easy walk from the house. The town hall has a good playground for children, a basketball half court, and a shuffle board court and a picnic area. A few of our favorite restaurants include Nantucket’s and House of Welsh. Enjoy the tennis courts at 141st Street in Ocean City. Keep in shape while on vacation – work out at the two gyms that are within a 10 minute car ride.
Activities: Nature trails, bird sanctuaries and the Seaside Nature Center can all be found at Cape Henlopen State Park just outside of Lewes. Activities NEARBY: Short walk to the pristine beach for swimming and surf fishing, wander for miles in the adjacent DE Seashore Park. Numerous golf courses, bike paths, three boardwalks, and superb dining in 2 states. Ocean and bay water sports - charter boat fishing, wind surfing. Touring all around. Local water sports: swimming, crabbing, clamming, boating, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, sport fishing, beach combing, surfing, shelling, windsurfing. Wow We loved the home, the incredible views, the interior-wide open, many decks and a pool with water views . Our kids loved their daily paddle in the kayaks and we adults loved the front porch in the evening wathcing the incredible sunsets. The Sunset House was amazing. My family and I wanted a get away all together and this house was perfect. The view was fantastic and the kids had a great time. The house was spacious, clean the amenities are too much to mention. I can't wait until next year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

I just wanted to let people know what a wonderful week my family and I had staying at the Sunset House. The interior was only outdone by the exterior of the house. My sister and I were looking for a place for our families to vacation together. We found the perfect place. The house was spacious enough for both our families and impecable both inside and out. The pool and jacuzzi were a hit with everyone especially the kids. The hightlight for me was sitting on the balcony with everyone looking at the beautiful sunset and talking and laughing for hours. I can't wait until next year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Took whole family to Sunset house for Halloween this year and Sea Witch Festival in Rehoboth. The house was perfect for our extended family and sunsets were awesome from the decks! The house was perfect for a week with the grandchildren and families. The kids had a great time in the ocean and heated pool. There was plenty of space so everyone could have any privacy they needed. I recently attended a Wedding and Reception at this property. I was one of the fortunate ones that got to actually stay at this house. It was “Fabulous”. The back yard was beautiful with the arbor and the view of the Bay. The attention to detail in the home was unparalleled. I only wish that my own wedding could have been here. Great house for a reception, the floor plan is open and flowing and accommodated quite a large reception. I had a great time and would recommend this site as an alternative to a traditional Reception Hall.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Even though it was a wet and windy October weekend we had a great time. It was our girlfriends' getaway and the 5 of us stayed warm and dry and thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace. Great house for anytime of the year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We had four children under 4 yrs. so the pool was perfect. Shade was available, it was accessable from the house yet fenced in. Nice views. Working bikes and beach equipment was appreciated.
