Quiet and secluded, this beautiful old Cape farmhouse includes a modern kitchen with attached breakfast nook and full bathrooms upstairs (shower/tub) and down (shower). The yard is shaded by large Maples, and is protected by lightly-traveled side roads.
Eat indoors or out, with a large round table and grill in the yard. A 0.9 mi walk down West Road takes you to Skaket Beach on Cape Cod Bay. A favorite beach for small children.
Four upstairs bedrooms have a variety of sleeping accommodations: queen, full, 3/4 full, and a twin. Note: Linens are not provided - linen rental options are listed on our website. Comfortable pull-out couch in parlor (TV room - full cable). Our "Great Room", with its gas fire stove, doubles as a dining room for eight. Small office is available with wireless Internet.

Why the Owner Chose Orleans
Salty Ridge was the house we raised our kids in. It is still our residence in the off-season. During the summer, we live across town in a 1926 Sears kit cottage built by David's great-aunts.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Salty Ridge is old-school relaxing - big yard, generous room dimensions (at least compared with many other old Cape houses), and plenty of comfy reading spots. It's quiet, but within walking distance to town, beaches, and bike trail.
Owner's Map of Orleans
Cherie is the librarian in Eastham, and has worked in the library field for over 30 years. David is a self-employed computer consultant. Cherie and Dave have two grown sons, one an account executive for the NFL, the other an EMT in Brewster.

We have been coming to Cape Cod for many years. As our family has grown, with the addition of our grandkids, we needed a larger place. I was so happy to have found this house. We had a wonderful week at Salty Ridge! The house was perfect for my family - especially for my grandkids. The little ones loved Skaket Beach (which is just down the road) and being so close to the bike trail. The yard was lovely, large and well kept. Great for family gatherings and very safe for the children. The listing was accurate - photos do reflect the appearance. This is a charming old farmhouse that has been lovingly cared for. It was very clean, and the beds were good. Each bedroom had its own air-conditioner, bathrooms and kitchen were updated and also in good condition. The owners, Cheryl and David, were helpful and available. This is a very good value - nice home and great location!
