Lake Wisconsin Cottage provides cottage living in your own small, private vacation home with shady lakefront yard and pier. Nature, lake, and cultural activities are abundant. Conveniently located midway between Madison and Wisconsin Dells, just off Interstate 90/94, approximately 1.5 hrs from Milwaukee and 3 hours from Chicago or Minneapolis.
Recently redecorated in cottage decor, the inside has an open layout from full kitchen to dining room to living room. Eat your meals overlooking the lake after leisurely cooking in your fully equipped kitchen or on your private charcoal or gas grill. Plenty of cooking utensils and dishes. New flooring throughout.
Enjoy a quiet time in the cottage 'library nook', stocked with books, games, and magazines, or watch a movie on the DVD.
Relax outside on your private patio or in Adirondack chairs at the lakeside fire pit area, drink in hand watching the sun set over the glimmering water.
Lake Wisconsin Cottage is the perfect place for a couple to spend a Spring/Summer/Fall month or two away from a hot weather climate. Equally great for a small family to experience a 'summer place'. The cottage is located on a dead-end street in a small, friendly residential area. It's like having your own vacation home. The location is rural enough for quiet and relaxation, yet close enough for many cultural and fun day-trip activities.
Two bedrooms in bright sunny colors, each with a comfy queen bed and large windows to let plenty of light in. One bath, recently updated with new shower and toilet, plenty of towel bars and hooks, and new paint and flooring. New water heater for those good hot showers.
SUMMER: Our peak season. Enjoy shallow, sandy-bottom swimming off your private pier, play games in the shady yard, or bring/rent a boat to waterski and explore the lake. Canoe, kayak, or fish to your heart's content right outside your door. Or just enjoy a fabulous sunset over the Baraboo Bluffs and light a fire in your private firepit at lakeside.
FALL/SPRING: Migrating birds and wildflowers galore, Fall colors, apple orchards, and pumpkin patches are some of the nearby attractions. Hiking and biking are the best. Area attractions are not crowded. The views are stunning at all times of year!

We have vacationed at this rental for the last several years. Every year it has been better than the previous year. The small touches that the owners have personalized really make a difference. Being so close to the Dells and Madison (30 minutes) makes this rental a perfect location. We can be busy all day and then return to the cottage for total relaxation. We would highly recommend this cottage!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Rented this lake house in june of 2011 and for our family's first rental experience it was great. The owners were very nice and helpful! The place is immaculate and the view was beautiful. I would recommend this place for a nice small family vacation. We as a family of five enjoyed it perfectly! Thanks again for our first lake rental experience.Owner response: What a great family you were to have as renters! The large level shady yard directly on the lake does work well for small families. And lots of nearby activities always keep kids busy! Thanks!

A very friendly and safe, small neighborhood on a large bay opening into the main lake. Lots of nature and fantastic views, but close to many daytrip activities and cultural areas. Love the large shady yard, sitting on the pier, and watching the birds in the woods behind the cottage. The sunsets are the best! Love watching the sun move across the Baraboo Bluffs throughout the year! Free boat launch within 1/2 mile.
