Why the Owner Chose La Paz
After touring many cities in Mexico, we decided that La Paz was the perfect place to build our future retirement. Ensconced along the largest bay on Baja’s Sea of Cortez coast, La Paz is noted for a beautiful malecon (waterfront walkway) backed by palm trees, pastel-colored buildings, spectacular sea-side sunsets, easy-going pace and it’s proximity to uncrowded beaches and pristine islands. La Paz has the perfect blend of a beautiful historic city set against a tranquil desert and a pristine, turquoise ocean abundant with marine life. We think La Paz offers a great blend of an old world city with friendly people yet also provides all the amenities of a large city without the big city feel. Beware! Legend has it that once a traveller visits La Paz, he leaves a piece of his heart there, and is always drawn back...only feeling complete again when returning to this wonderful place.
The Unique Benefits at this House
People who have stayed at our property consistently tell us that once they arrive they are content to just relax in our inviting great room, cook up a sumptious meal in our fully-equipped kitchen, and enjoy their family and friends in a luxurious getaway from it all. You can pamper yourself in the large, private infinity pool overlooking the ocean; enjoy a margarita as you recline on the sunken bar stools. Both the pool and the 8-person hot tub provide the perfect backdrop to view the stunning sunsets and watch as the La Paz cities lights blink on. La Paz is only 15 minutes away and offers a wide range of restaurants from Italian, to high-end Mexican fusion, to delicious tacos and sumptious seafood cocktails. Previous guests have let us know that fishing in the Sea of Cortez, whale watching, kayaking, wind-surfing, snorkeling and wandering along pristine beaches are some of the favored activities.

When looking for a vacation where we could truly relax, my partner and I chose La Paz and this house made our experience better than we could have imagined. It is a large house perfect for families or larger groups (easily can accommodate 8 and 10 would fit well, too), but we splurged and rented it for just the 2 of us. The main house is simply fantastic and well-appointed with nice features. The open floor plan of the living room, dining room and kitchen all opens up to the large outside patio with the infinity lap pool, hot tub and fire pit. The outdoor area is extremely private but still affords amazing views of the bay, mountains and surrounding desert. The house is a 15 minute drive from the main part of the bustling town, so a car is needed, but the peacefulness of being more remote is part of the experience. It’s in a completely safe area and you can enjoy walks through the desert to take in the beautiful colors that the setting sun provides. In the morning, the sunrise over the bay is spectacular. We like a nice mix of activities and relaxing by the pool and this house was perfect for that type of experience. We ventured out some days, but also just spent days enjoying the pool, house and hot tub and cooked dinner in the full kitchen some nights. The property managers were fantastic! They provided detailed information and photos before we arrived and were helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely be back to this house!

I travel allot and I must say that this house is truly incredible. It is wide open to the outdoor and extremely comfortable. Upscale, but far from stuffy. A very impressive home built with quality materials and a great view of the bay. 45 minute from Sea to Ocean and close to La Paz, this is an incredible trip and I would highly recommend n this home. The local Property management folks set up massages and a cook for us every day, which enhanced our stay. pretty rough business trip for us !! jeff

We were 8 gal friends, and we had a ball at this property. Well appointed and fabulous views of Bay of La Paz and the lights at night of the city were fabulous. We all so enjoyed the pool, long enough to do laps and deep enough to really cool off. You need to have a car, but so well worth the drive to El Centario to such a safe and scenic area. Loved the openess of how the great room opens up to the entire patio and pool area. The beach of Tecolote about 40 minutes away was our favorite and we all took the boat trip out to the Island, which was just magical. I highly recommend this property, the privacy of the casita and master suite means several couples can rent this and have privacy.... we were the girls group and do a yearly trip, this one was one of our best ever... We stayed at this amazing property in March 2010 and had an incredible time. The morning sunrises over the mountains were stunning, the weather was perfect and the amenities incredible. It was the first vacation I have had in a long time where I was sad to leave. Bravo on providing such a perfect family vacation spot and home!

We had a fantastic time during our week at the house. There were 8 of us and we really enjoyed the pool, having meals outside in the warm evening air, morning jogs on the Malecon, beach trips, etc. Lance, the property manager, was very helpful in arranging snorkling trips and finding tennis courts. We also had excellent meals in town at El Aljibe and Buffalo BBQ (all gringos there, but great sante fe burgers). Have fun!

This is a beautiful, resort-like accommodation which will comfortably suit large groups. We had 8 people staying in well-appointed, decorative rooms. The living quarters are very spacious, and the indoor living area seamlessly blends in with the outdoors. You will love the infinity swimming pool and the outdoor hot tub where you can appreciate the wide expanse of nighttime sky studded with stars. We enjoyed the quiet serenity of the place as well as the gorgeous panoramic views of the Sea and La Paz city. If you're into cooking, the fully- loaded kitchen will beckon you. If you want a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle, this is the ideal place for you. And you can still get into downtown or head off to sublime beaches within minutes by car.
