Experienced vacation rental homeowners Tim and Elizabeth have created The Seahorse Retreat with everything you would expect in a tropical resort - only more exclusive. The signature landscape features a palm court, infinity edge swimming pool, large in-ground spa with colored lights, and beautiful flowering plants that overlooks a private beach, dock, and the Santa Rosa Sound. You'll have multiple porches outfitted with comfortable furniture to relax and marvel at the brilliant sunrises and sunsets. Most every room has access to a porch and incredible views of the Sound.
As beautiful the home is on the outside, on the inside every room has been designed in an eclectic West Indies decor that will have you wondering if you've landed on the doorstep of Hemingway's home. The naturalist feel is intentional to connect our guests with the local wildlife and eco-tourist offerings in the area including kayaking, fishing, bird watching, beach combing, biking, or boating. And the seahorses? You'll find them inconspicuously in the decor throughout the house.
Of course you can head down the road to the family attractions in Destin or let the sugar-white sand sift through your toes just four miles west on uncrowded Navarre Beach, Florida's "best kept secret." You may even decide to enjoy your own beach where the water is clear and shallow, and parents can let young children play without concern about rough water or undertow. Explore the Sound on a two-person kayak. There is something for the entire family!
Our brand-new 3300-sq.ft. home sleeps 16-18:
- Two spacious masters with king beds and private baths
- Seahorse room with queen bed and shared hall bath
- Kids room (sleeps 5 - one twin over twin and one twin over double bunk) and shared hall bath
- Third floor cupola (via spiral staircase) sleeps 5 (two hanging twin beds, one twin mattress, and one queen air bed) has full bath at bottom of staircase
- Terrace-level room with queen bed, private bath, access to ground-level patio and hammocks

Booking requirements: $800 refundable security/damage deposit; 25 yr age requirement to rent; No pets, no smoking. Half of rental due at booking; remainder & deposit due 30 days prior to check-in. Weddings require both homes to be rented; additional fee per home is charged. Weekly only rentals from Saturday to Saturday apply from mid-March through late September. Tim & Elizabeth, We had an exceptional time this week. Your home was an absolute joy to relax in. This has been our favorite family vacation we have ever taken. During our stay we enjoyed the pool, kayaking, shelling, dippin' dots, sno-balls, spending the day boogie boarding, dolphin watching on a cruise, and more! We would love to make this an annual tradition!
