Completely renovated beach cottage with a touch of the tropics. Palms, azales, magnolia, massive oaks with spanish moss accent the property. The main rental features 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The cottage sits just six homes back from the beach; (just a three minute stroll or 250 yards, a short par four walk) and on one of the largest lots in the neighborhood. The living area is large and open; great for gatherings. The kitchen is very well appointed and handsomely captures the cottage theme. A large center island connects the kitchen with the living and dining areas. Pool area can be readily seen from this area of house and the master bedroom.
A separate grilling patio is near kitchen and pool which can also be used for additional entertaining and eating.
Throughout the main living areas you find natural stone inspired porcelain tile; perfect for beachside living. The bedrooms have individual cool and soothing colors that invite rest after a long day at the beach!
The bathrooms mirror the living areas use of tile and high-grade finishes such as Antique Bronze hardware and fixtures, granite, bead-board and that ever present cottage feel.
The Forest Beach area of Hilton Head is very centrally located for beach activities, shopping and restaurants. It’s just a short walk or bike ride to shopping, restaurants, movies, miniature golf and much, much more. Year Purchased: 2008
Owners are a retired couple living part time in Arizona and part time in HHI. They have many Southern ties.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Both owners grew up within a 100 mile radius of HHI and remember when the island was opened in 1957. They have children and grandchildren in Georgia and Maryland and wanted a place where all could visit during the year. When family is not using it, they would like to share their home and the beach with those who would care for it as they would....
The Unique Benefits of this House
Large lot 100'x100', 250 yards paved walk to beach, very little traffic at this end of North Forest Beach. Bike path to Coligny Square 50 yards from home. Free trolly pick up if called to resturants and shops in Coligny Square .
