One of my first memories in life was a trip to the remote fishing village of Puerto Vallarta in 1955. From the moment my family touched down on the grassy airstrip that, at the time, was the only way to get to Vallarta other than by boat, I knew that I would always want to return to this paradise. Between petting burros on the street, only drinking coca-cola (no bottled water then), the genuine kindness of the Mexican people, and admiring the fishermen as they returned to the Hotel Rosita beach from the bay every morning, I knew that I would one day return. After many subsequent trips to Vallarta, it became apparent that a vacation just wasn’t enough. My late husband Joe and I were finally able to seize the moment and move to Vallarta in the fall of 1994 after living in Europe for four years.
I’m best known in Vallarta for my shell collection resulting from 30 years of research expeditions and diving with the Smithsonian, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, and other scientific institutions.
My passion now is dancing tango and traveling to tango destinations!
Upon your arrival at Villa La Casita you will see the influences of my life and world travels throughout the Villa. I look forward to sharing my home with you and your family and guests!

After more than 12 trips over the past 10 years to Puerto Vallarta, Villa La Casita was by far our best villa experience ever! Kirstie strives for and achieves the 5 star rating she deserves. We were a party of 6 and each of us enjoyed every moment of our stay. From the excellent service provided by Adrian and Monica to the well appointed, up-to-date and tasteful ambiance created by Kirstie. It was our mom's first trip to Mexico and upon entering the building (Las Terrazas) and then the villa her first comment upon being overwhelmed was that the pictures simply don't do it justice. As an added note, there are two nicely appointed bedrooms on the first floor both with en suite bathrooms and there are no stairs involved. The is the perfect vacation/villa experience for an elderly family member to experience the safety and comfort that is lacking in other multi-level properties in Conchas Chinas. When going into town, on a tour or even down to the beach, it wasn't long before all of agreed that what we wanted to do most was to simply go back to the villa, relax with our close friends and family in the heated pool and just stare at the incredible view. We can't wait to return!

Our stay at Villa La Casita was spectacular. Even before we arrived, Kirstie and Adrian made us feel welcome and made sure that all the logistics were in place for a fun-filled trip. The fun started with margaritas and really never ended until we were dropped off at the airport to whisk us back to reality. In between, we experienced all there was to see in Puerto Vallarta, from running through the jungle (via mule, zip line and repelling) Vallarta Adventures (Outdoor Adventures), to golfing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, running, shopping and taking in all the wonderful local restaurants. We even had the pleasure of watching world class tango dancing right on the veranda of the Villa followed by the Los Bambinos a local three piece band who helped celebrate one of our traveler's "34th birthday." The pictures of this villa do not do it justice. It was exactly as presented if not more and with breakfast cooked for us every morning, we were always ready for the day. The owner and Adrian made sure we always had food, drinks (i.e. tequila and cervasa), and any other needs as we relaxed and enjoyed spectacular views and sunsets from the veranda and infinity pool . Also, they were willing to transport us anywhere we wanted to go with just a few hours warning. We would highly recommend Villa la Casita as a place to spend a fun-filled week in Puerto Vallarta. It's close proximity to the old part of PV makes it all that much better and allowed us all to truly experience Mexico like never before. We believe we only scratched the surface and are sure to return. Thanks for a great trip.

Our family just returned from ten days in lovely Vallarta, made even more special by staying at Villa La Casita. The home is absolutely beautiful! The artwork is spectacular, with pieces from around the world as well as Mexico. We were so inspired that we purchased several pieces similar to those in La Casita for our own home! The pictures do not do justice to the home. The views from every room were spectacular, but the terrace and the pool area was where we spent most of our time. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Adrian met us at the airport and made arrangements for all of our activities. Monica prepared delicious breakfast every morning, and Lalo not only kept the pool and beautiful flowers maintained, but also prepared delicious dinners on several occasions. It was very hard to leave! We traveled with our two adult children, one fiance, and one family friend. La Casita is so large that we did not get in each other's way. My husband was able to conduct his work in the well equipped office while overlooking Banduras Bay and the mountains! There were many comfortable sitting areas for reading, relaxing, or what ever you wanted to do. We used taxi's for excursions into town, which were easy to get and inexpensive. We saw beautiful birds, whales and dolphins right from the terrace! Villa La Casita is truly a beautiful spot for a fabulous vacation. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Vallarta! We will definitely return.

One of our best stays ever due to the rich display of art from around the world -- Moroccan and Turkish kilims, outstanding Mexican art, large Indonesian carvings, and more -- all beautifully displayed. The view is unsurpassed. We loved the inside-outside nature of the house. Never closed the wall of doors/windows separating in and out. Easy to get taxis. Truly 5-10 minutes to town. The best!

Walking into Villa La Casita for the first time, it was like nothing we had ever seen before. The views were astounding and the home was stunning. The photos just didn't do justice! It was easy for us to quickly escape into a fantasy world and pretend for just a few days that we lived there. We spent most of our time on the terrace and in the pool. We just couldn't get enough of the view! We were spoiled like crazy having someone make us breakfast in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon. We popped into town a few times for some excellent meals (by the way, we'd HIGHLY recommend Barcelona Tapas...wonderful!). Overall, what we did was relax! I've been trying to come up with something negative to say just to make it sound more realistic, but here's all I can come up with: 1. Rather than fighting for the master bedroom like you normally would, you'll probably find yourselves fighting for the "round" room (we did). How often do you have a chance to sleep in a round bed? 2. You might find yourself jumping up from a sound sleep one night, if you head to bed a little early. We called it an early night one night and we all jumped out of bed when the house shook with a loud BOOM!! There were fireworks coming from the beach below and were right at eye level for us....absolutely worth the wake up call! The only reason I hesitate to recommend Villa la Casita is because I would hate for it to be booked the next time we head to Puerto Vallarta. :)

WOW!!!! What a place. The pictures don't do it justice! The attention to details are everywhere. We felt at home the minute we arrived (margerita's on the terazza). A truely wonderful vacation. We did have a little reality check Sunday morning...Norma's day off. Noone to make make breakfast or clean up after us. We survived :) Do not hesitate to book this fabulous home. Linda

Villa La Casita is amazing! From the moment we walked through the front door and caught a glimpse of the 180o view of the ocean, it took our breath away. We spent most waking moments on the terraza spotting the migrating whales on the bay (and we saw many during our visit). And most nights, fireworks could be seen over bay. Life on the terraza offered us endless entertainment and relaxation. The villa itself is beautifully appointed with indigeous furnishings and artifacts--felt like visiting a fine museum. We had every creature comfort we could imagine. The open-air showers with ocean views in the baths were fabulous. And having a full-time maid service was a real indulgence. We've visited Puerto Vallarta a number of times--gone are the days of staying in timeshare units or smaller condos. Villa La Casita showed us what a really fine vacation experience can be. Thank you.
