The Apartment:
Charming and spacious, this very well situated and centrally located alcove studio is in the heart of Le Marais. Looking into a quiet courtyard, the apartment is one flight up from the street. There is a fully equipped kitchen, newly renovated bathroom, queen bed (or 2 twins), convertible chair bed, all linens, digicode intercom entry, ample storage space and a host of other amenities including washing machine, flat screen LCD, Cable TV, DVD player, CD Stereo with connection for your IPOD, WIFI, iron and ironing board.

The apartment contains a personal computer with high-speed internet access and Microsoft Office so you are free to leave your lap top at home. It also contains free telephone service to any land line in over 40 countries including the United States, Canada, and across Europe and South America. Call home for free, your friends and family will wish they were there with you.

With large closets, this apartment is perfect for long term stays.

The Area:
The building borders a lovely park, Square du Temple which contains lush gardens and a wonderful children’s playground. This historic location in the heart of Le Marais is just a few minutes walk from the Pompidou Center, the Picasso Museum, Musee Carnavalet Musée d'Art et d'Histoire du Judaïsme, Republique, and Place de Vosges. The oldest covered market in Paris, le Marché des Enfants Rouges dating from the early 17th century is 3 blocks away on the lively rue de Bretagne. This wondrous street, is a favorite local resident spot for gourmet foods, meat, cheese, wine and flowers. One should not miss strolling this charming area.

For those who are interested in history (or fans of the Da Vinci Code), The Quartier Temple area was home to the 12th century Knights Templar. The historic Templar Tower stood at the edge of Square du Temple and was replaced by the Carreau du Temple in 1807. The area surrounding Square du Temple is a hip, vibrant, and cosmopolitan neighborhood brimming with cafés, restaurants ,art galleries and shops.

  • I loved everything about my apartment rental in Paris! This is a simple, efficient apartment with all the necessities, and it is close to two metro lines and the bus. The best part about it is its' proximity to Canal St Martin, one of the nicest parts of Paris.

  • My son (age 19) and daughter (age 21) and I stayed in the apartment for 10 days. It is small but surprisingly we fit comfortably and have no complaints. The apartment location was very convenient and we really liked the neighborhood. Getting around by foot or Metro was easy. It was a quick walk to the Seine/Notre Dame/Pompidou/Picasso Museum/Louvre. Down the street was a Monoprix (like a french Target) which we shopped at often and we loved the covered market down the street in the other direction. I will definitely find an excuse to come again soon. Thanks Marshall!

  • We are a retired couple and we spend 6 weeks in Paris at Marshall's apartment. Meeting Marshall for a coffee in Manhattan seal the deal. He was gracious and very much trusthfull describing the home that he created in Paris We had been in France and Paris many times, but now thanks to the cozy and very well appointed place in the Marais, the fantastic location, we really enjoyed the beauty of Paris.   • This apartment was PERFECT for us! It has everything you could possible need. It's very cozy and quiet and can be quite accommodating to different configurations (we're a couple and the twin beds come together to form a queen, and it's really comfortable actually!). It even has a washer/dryer which saved our life when Air France lost our luggage! Now, that said, the neighborhood is also amazing. We were able to walk to pretty much everything in the city (Montmartre, the Seine, the Eiffel Tower) I don't think you could have a more central location than this - plus the immediate surrounding area is very hip. There's also two metro stops just a block away so for those nights where you might have had a little too much wine it's really easy to get home For 5 days we felt more like residents than visitors and most of that was because of the apartment and neighborhood. We're definitely coming back.

  • This apartment was a perfect base for my first trip to Paris. The location is wonderful, close to public transportation, with many great restaurants and stores nearby. It's quiet, away from street noise, and very comfortable. We loved having a computer to stay in touch and look up information. The kitchen is very well appointed and we made several meals at the apartment, after visiting the amazing grocery store nearby. The transaction with the owner was easy from beginning to end. We hope to visit again!

  • I spent a few nights here with a couple friends and we had a wonderful stay. We essentially had all of the same comforts as home: free calls to the US, fast internet connection, TV (playing both French and American programs), a washer/dryer and more. We all slept really well due to the comfortable beds and quiet locale. The apartment is also situated in an incredibly convenient and beautiful area of Paris: just blocks away from a major metro stop (Republique) and an easy, scenic walk to the Seine and center of the city. I loved stepping out of the apartment and wandering down the quaint Rue du Temple to the heart of the Marais. All of the arrangements, and checking in/out, etc. were extremely easy. We'd definitely recommend this great apartment to anyone looking to experience living in the real Paris while still enjoying the comforts of home!

  • A perfect place to stay! We had all the comforts of home, including a PC and a landline. What a pleasure to not come home to hundreds of emails and to be able to check in with family by telephone. The location is fantastic. We walked to Notre Dame, the Seine, Pompidou, Picasso, Jewish museum. Very close to the Metro, a supermarket (Mono Prix), restaurants (we ate at a few, including the Marilyn Monroe place - Pompanou), and food shops (cheese, fruit, bread, etc). Joanna was responsive and available - she met us right on time when we arrived. Marshall was quick to respond to emails during the planning stage. All in all, a great experience that we would recommend to others.

  • Marshall, realmente el departamento en Rue de Temple fue el lugar perfecto para pasar una semana inolvidable en París. Sabía de antemano que el departamento era muy agradable, pero la sorpresa fue aún mayor cuando llegué. Tiene el tamaño justo, todas (TODAS!) las comodidades, la gente que te recibe es muy amable y predispuesta, te dan una explicación sobre todo, realmente muy atentos. La ubicación es ideal (fue mi tercera vez en París) y nunca antes estuve tan cómodo. La cercanía con la Estación de Metro Republique donde pueden tomarse varias lineas de metro es estratégica. Podría seguir comentando y agregando aspectos positivos pero sólo tengo 3000 caracteres. Marshall realmente has armado un lugar muy especial para pasar unos días en París y su relación costo-beneficio no tiene competencia.

  • Words cannot express how lovely the apartment is. All the necessary essentials are at your fingertips. The apartment is centrally located to everything you could possibly want to see. The metro is a short walk away, although we chose to walk thru this lovely area to reach our destinations. We loved staying in the apartment and living as Parisians. Our honeymoon could not have been any more special. Thank you, Marshall for providing us with such a wonderful place!

  • We had a wonderful stay at your place in the Marais, which was ideally located for exploring all of the great little cafes, shops and history in this gem of an area. Nearby Metro stops made it easy to venture further afield to other parts of this amazing city. The apartment has been nicely updated and makes the most of a compact space. It was perfect for the two of us - a great and affordable alternative to a hotel. With the apartment as our home base, we felt more like guests than tourists.
