  a real vacation. i have been traveling in mexico for fifteen years and i can say that this a place to go for a true feel of the area before the big , fake , money grabbers come in. this is what everyone should come to mexico for. a real town with real people. if you want to enjoy your vacation and have a wonderful place to stay this is it. this apartment was a great place to stay, it had everything you could possible need as well as a great host,, we all thank you for a great stay. we will see you next time we are down.

  What an amazing place! This private, one-bedroom apartment boasts a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, ample closet space, dual climate control (one in the living room and one in the bedroom) and a wraparound deck as well as a rooftop deck with panoramic views of the ocean. Wifi is included as well. The apartment is large, comfortable and clean! Everything you will need is provided--linens, kitchen appliances, bottled water, etc. Within the building itself is a convenient money exchange, two ATM's (one dispenses dollars, the other pesos) and a cafe that serves delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. When you exit your door, you are less than 50 feet from the ocean. The property is located right on the Mahahual Malecon (boardwalk) and everything from restaurants to oceanfront bars to pharmacies and stores are all within walking distance. There are many activities on the boardwalk from diving to snorkeling to beachfront massages. You can’t imagine how convenient it was to stroll out the door, walk into the ocean, snorkel the Mesoamerican barrier reef, walk back home and take a hot shower at our own apartment. On those ultra-hot days, it was so wonderful to have the temperature in the apartment just as we liked it---cold! Richard has thought of everything from decor to comfort. He is a pleasure to work with and our entire reservation process, stay and checkout was handled with the utmost professionalism. We have stayed at other locations in Mahahual, but this is the best--hands down. There is no better feeling than to feel at home on your vacation. We visit Mahahual regularly and will definitely be booking this apartment again.

  we stayed almost one month in this beautiful apartment. Rosa and Richard have been the best hosts ever. They took care of everything. The apartment was the cleanest we ever saw. it is so very pretty, colourfully painted walls make you inmediately feel home in Mexico. The apartment has a beautiful size and all the furniture are Mexico Style , absolutely gourgeous. It is in the middle of Mahahual, and bars and restaurant are just a view footsteps away.We enjoyed every day and will defintely come back.

  My wife and I stayed here for 10 days this month. Richard and Rosa were perfect host's and the apartment was better then we expected. We have stayed at other places in Majahual but this was the best. It is in the middle of town but very quiet and secure. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

  We stayed at this apartment for nine days and the owners, Richard and Rosa, did everything to make us feel at home. The apartment is new, clean, comfortable and decorated very nicely. It is so convenient being in the middle of "downtown" Mahahual. Grocery stores, the money exchange and an internet cafe are all a few steps from the entrance. Beautiful beach clubs and tasty restaurants are all around you, so a car is not really necessary other than for more long distance exploring. The covered rooftop patio has a spectacular view of the Caribbean! We would recommend this place.

  I stayed here w/my husband and son for 6 nights and couldn't have asked for a better place. Just about everything was within walking distance. The apartment was spacious, beautifully furnished, decorated, private and quiet. The rooftop patio provided a spectacular view of the malecon and ocean. I visited last year and stayed in a hotel a few nights which was great but was so much happier in this place. There are not many furnished apts for rent in this area. I felt like we found a hidden gem right in the middle of beautiful Mahahual. Plus we were just steps away from where the sand meets the ocean. I want to thank Richard and Rosa. They were so nice, warm and inviting which made our stay even more enjoyable. My husband and I plan on moving to Mahahual later this year and we both agree if anyone we know asks for a great place to stay in Mahahual we will be telling them about Richard and Rosa's place for sure!
