This three bedroom home in Port Orchard is fully furnished with all the little extras to make you feel at home. This single family house includes a fully equipped family style kitchen, laundry room, living room with large screen HDTV and fireplace, a dining room with a beautiful view, and a den that also serves as third bedroom. A deck off the kitchen enhances quiet observation of wild life and it's a convenient place to barbeque.

Living in this three bedroom single family home seems like being in another world, yet it is centrally located with a short commute to major shopping areas. Ferries to Seattle or British Columbia, via Bremerton are all within easy walking distance from the front door. Shuttle service is available less than a block away. Live theater and fine dining can be found within six blocks.
The house is situated on a huge private lot, less than two blocks from the Kitsap County Courthouse and Administrative Offices; directly across the inlet from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard at Bremerton;less than twenty miles from Bangor Naval Submarine Base; less than thirty miles from Fort Ord.
If you would like to venture a little further,Kitsap Transit Foot Ferries and WA State Ferries provide safe, convenient ferry and shuttle services for business and pleasure travelers through out Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands, connecting our home in Port Orchard with favorite destinations like: Pike's Market, Pioneer Square and Space Needle in Seattle; or, the Burtchardt Gardens and "high tea" in Victoria BC.
The closest local airport is the Port of Bremerton. And, SEATAC is about 35 miles away with convenient shuttle service to Port Orchard.

Why the Owner Chose Port Orchard
We love the ambience, especially the fresh air, forests, clear skies and the natural beauty of the Puget Sound area. It is a great place to take a deep breath, relax,enjoy nature, and explore the wealth of outdoor activities. Being removed from the huslte and bustle of major cities, yet still having easy access to Seattle and other favorites like Gig Harbor, Silverspring, Tacoma, and British Columbia has been an important consideration for us.
The Unique Benefits at this House
One chief advantage of staying here is the price: It is very inexpensive for what you get. Also, access to downtown Seattle via the ferry is simple, yet pleasurable with fantasstic scenery along the way. Best of all the house is clean, comfortable, well equipped and very peaceful.
It is only a 10 minute ride by ferry to Brmerton. Ferry runs every half hour.

Our Port Orchard home is a keeper! When we are not working on a home, in a yard, or on the computer, we are enjoying grandchildren, traveling, reading,walking with friends or "workng out" at the YMCA.

If looking for a lovely, well appointed and generously provided "home" this is it. You will be nestled in a very quiet cal de sac in the middle of woods where you most likely will see deer from your windows or from a great porch overlooking the woods; the squirrels will most certainly be your friends - if you treat them right. Port Orchard is a charmingly friendly village from which you are able to use public transportation to most anywhere (if willing to walk short distances and learn the routes) via foot ferry and the state ferries to Seattle and beyond. We stayed for a month without a vehicle, traveled most of the area, and saw most of the sights for less than $200 with our ORCA passes (available at Safeway or at the Bremerton Ferry Landing). The owners offer a special bonus with their pleasant, unobtrusive, and welcoming personalities. If only this property were for sale! Dean and Dorothy

The house was very centrally located for our needs. We had a little trouble with the weather being a little warm and no air conditioning or fans in the house. We have small children and some of the furniture required constant vigilance so I would recommend this house more for families with children over 10 years old. The neighbors and the gardening people were very helpful and pleasant to talk to. We were able to easily access the whole Kitsap Peninsula with our location.
Owner response:Fans are accessible for guests to use if the weather becomes uncomfortable, but they are rarely needed.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Everything was clean and well maintained, and the owners were helpful and nice to rent from. The house felt secluded and cozy. It really felt like a home for our family. If I ever need to stay in Port Orchard again, I will definitely come back to this house.

This house is beginning to feel like my second home. I love it. The views are outstanding, especially when I walk down to the ferry. It's a nice quiet area and the house was clean when I arrived. It was ready to live in.

this is such a peaceful, beautiful location. We love the "tree house" feel of the back yard and deck. We were thrilled to get pictures of a doe and her fawn on our 1st day here. Have you ever considered selling the house? If we don't get a VRBO of our own, we would definitely like to stay here again on our next visit. T & JL
