  • Awesome property!

"We thoroughly enjoyed every minute at this beautiful home in the pines! The property is gorgeous with artwork and special details everywhere. Our family gathered here to relax and enjoy our parent's 50th wedding anniversary. We played games, cooked some amazing meals together and just enjoyed relaxing together in a well deserved break from our normal busy lives. There was room for everyone and plenty to do during the day in the area. We enjoyed kayaking on nearby Rainbow lake, fishing at Showlow Lake, riding bikes in the neighborhood, quads on the nearby trails designed for them, and even zip lining at the ski resort. The area is easy to reach, has plenty of off road parking and everything you need is provided. I know my mom really loved the front porch and the back deck for relaxing, reading a good book and listening to the rain in the afternoon storms. One of our family favorites was eating meals together on the back deck. The tables can be set up to hold a lot of people, which was great. Our other favorite was the corn toss and washoo tournament we had. There was room for everyone to sit and laugh and talk around the game in the back yard (and even the garage when the weather isn't so great). Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. We can't wait to for an excuse to all come back together. The Stegina, McNatt and Smith families"

  • A Perfect Vacation Spot

"Really enjoyed our stay. The property is in excellent shape and the neighbors are friendly. Being right on the lake, you enjoy the cool breezes at night and the peaceful sounds emanating from the lake. Having Wi-Fi available is a big plus. Everything is furnished and complete and the Dish powered TV has an amazing amount of channels. Having a full and half bath on the first floor is really convenient. There is plenty of available closet space in the downstairs Master Bedroom along with a table fan for a little extra cooling if needed. The rental rate is very appropriate and I highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting a place to stay in the Pinetop/Lakeside area."

  • Comfortable home on very quiet dead end street

"My wife, dog and I stayed at the Little Bear Lodge for two weeks this summer. We needed to beat the heat and be close to hiking trails. This home fit our needs very nicely. The home is very clean and exactly as pictured. The entire yard is fenced so was perfect for our dog Brody. The home is at the end of a dead end street and right next to a 15 acre forested area so it is very quiet even though you are only a mile from the main street. The documentation on things to do in the area and how to do things in the home are very well organized and very helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. We rely on internet for a lot of our entertainment (streaming video and music) and that worked fine as well. The best part of the house for us though was the front porch. We stayed outside most of the time to enjoy the weather. Thank goodness there is a ceiling fan right over the outside seating area because it did get a little warm a couple days. We didn't need the A/C in the house but I was tempted to turn it on one day. The house stays relatively cool and the windows provide a nice breeze. I was worried we might run out of things to do but we didn't get to all the places we wanted to see. if you like hiking and don't mind driving 30-45 minutes, there are some great areas with nice wildflowers and great forests. The forests around Pinetop are nice but not many wildflowers. It must be the type of soil. Still, they make great hikes if you want something really close. We took our mountain bikes on the Rim Road as well. Didn't get as far as we would like because the monsoon came in while we were out but it is a good dirt road and very close to the home. The Petrified Forest National Park and Painted Desert are not too far and was really cool. I would recommend the short hike into the Blue Mesa area. It is really unusual. If you want a cool, quiet, comfortable place to beat the Valley heat, this is a good choice."
