It is everything the listing said it was. The property is secluded and very peaceful with a very private backyard. The logs were set in the fireplace when we arrived with an additional supply of logs conveniently stored on the porch. The sleeping arrangements were large, very comfortable, clean and fresh. The bedrooms were large enough to easily accomodate a roll-away bed which was already made up. Both bathrooms had sufficient plugs, lighting and a large supply of towels. Lighting was very good throughout for reading in bed, in the family room, and excellent lighting over the kitchen table. Our seven adults spent many hours working a house jigsaw puzzle, Stowe, at the kitchen table. The table was very large and the kitchen was set up for large group cooking. There were even spices in the cupboard. The skiers in our group had the choice of two mountains. Tourist shopping and restaurants were fabulous in several small towns in the area. This property is a wonderful vacation place. There were no disappointments.
Owner response:Holly, it is always a pleasure knowing that our guests experience how welcoming and comfortable our home is. Because we enjoy our home so much, we make every effort to provide our guests with all the amenities they need to unwind and relax with family and friends in the beautiful mountain surroundings. We love the location of our home since it allows us to have a very private property with spectacular views and is easily accessible to many shops, restaurants and ski resorts. Thank you again for choosing our home for your Christmas vacation.

We stayed in this lovely home for a long weekend to attend a wedding nearby. It was a wonderful spot. The house was in excellent condition and the living space was cozy. We were there in July during a heat wave and the pond was a welcome addition for daily swims. We had our 2 year old grandchild along who loved playing outside. In addition our son and daughters who are 20, 27, and 30 came and loved the house and location as well. The mountain view and sunsets were beautiful. We highly recommend this home for a family vacation or retreat and will stay here again!
Owner response:Kathy, thank you so much for your review and sharing your wonderful experience at our home with your family. We always enjoy our refreshing spring-fed pond on those hot summer days. We recently were there in early July with our daughter and her two young sons who were visiting from St. John, VI. They spent more time playing outdoors than being inside. We hope that you stay with us again. Sincerely, Sandy

My family spent 5 nights this past President's Week. The house offered all the creature comforts and conveniences of home with breath taking views from all areas of the house. It is perfectly located between Stowe and Smuggler's Notch which we skied at throughout the week. We were fortunate to have a nice dump of snow while we were there to add to the already great skiing conditions. We were promptly plowed out so we didn't miss a beat of skiing. If you have a dog they will love the property. Our Brittany enjoyed running throughout the property. When we come back to the Stowe area, we would definitely rent here again. Thanks Again!

We had a wonderful time @ this property this past summer. Very clean upon our arrival. The pond was a welcome amenity during the hottest weekend of the summer. Other than us burning out the blender with our frozen drinks, we had no problems at all with the facility. I would recommend this property for any family visit to the Stowe area.

My wife and I and occasional family members spent 11 days at this location in Sept. of 2010. We have been visiting the Stowe area for more thatn 10 years and this has to be the the most beautiful view of the property and mountains we have found. The pond is an added benefit and big enough to spend some quiet time floating in the canoe. My son-in-law even used to teach our two grandsons how to safely use a canoe. When weather permits the lovely porch is a great spot to watch the sunsets or during the day the sailplanes. Directions to property were easy to follow and the owners most helpful.

What a place. Personally, I was in heaven. If I could I would buy this place. Bedrooms were great. Living room area and Kitchen just wonderful for entertaining. Loved the two sided fireplace. The owners were quite accommodating in answering all my emails on questions I had on renting the place, as I have never rented a home for a vacation before. Close to Stowe. You can snowshoe right out the back door. My only issue was that we had to leave early due to family issues and did not get to enjoy more time at this place. I will DEFINITELY rent here again…and this time I am not leaving early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family spent 4 days/3 nights the wknd. before xmas. We were 8 adults, 1 child , 1 dog and had plenty of room. This house is amazing! The views from the great room are picturesques! The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms spacious and comfortable. The drive up to Mt.Mansfiled to see "Stowe Mt. Lodge" is a must. We even took a gondola ride up to the top. We spent a lot of time relaxing , and enjoying the fireplace. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Truly a wonderful place with incredible views. My husband and I stayed there for a week in late July with our senior citizen parents. The house's layout was perfect for a crowd. My dogs spent the days circling the pond and terrorizing the frogs while the rest of us relaxed in the Adirondack chairs and enjoyed the peace and quiet and the occasional glider coming in to land. The outdoor shower was a God-send. The location is great. Morrisville is a three-minute drive and has everything one needs from great restaurants to a large grocery store. Stowe is only a 20-minute drive. I would highly recommend this property.

We had a great time at the house over a weekend in July. 5 adults were there for a wedding and our time at the house was very relaxing. The views from the living room and kitchen are amazing. Our dog had a great time on the property and we enjoyed taking the canoe out on the pond. Thanks and I'll recommend your place to our friends.

Our party of nine including teenagers and adults stayed at this log cabin from 12/25 to 12/28/2008. Our primary goal was to find a place to stay near Stowe for skiing. We found this place to be conveniently located about 20 minutes from the Stowe ski resort. The bedrooms were roomy and very cozy. Everything was clean and neat. Furniture was in very good condition. The huge fireplace was great for warming the dining area and living room. Cooking and feeding 9 hungry people was made easy by a well equipped kitchen and spacious dining table. We did not use the pond because it was frozen over, but the house is located on a good size piece of land so you feel the privacy. Owners were hospitable and helpful. Wi Fi worked fine for internet connections. TV was fine. I consider this an extremely comfortable and cozy place for family vacations or reunions. I would definitely come here again.
