1/2 a mile away you can enjoy Blueberry picking in April; Blackberry picking in May.
Beautiful Rainbow Springs - a must see and feel - can be reached in 40 minutes. Swimming in any of the many refreshing, invigorating Florida Springs is like non other. Secluded cave exploration awaits you fifteen minutes away. Airboat rides, horseback riding, and miniature golf are also close by. For an exciting evening, attend the races at the Citrus County Speedway just down the road. Shopping, restaurants and theatres are within minutes.
Located down the country road from this property is our sister cottage, Lotus (refer to vrbo listing 194799) 2 bedroom/2 bath which sits on Lake Consuela. It sleeps 4-6 people.
Also nearby to the north of Cove Cottage is a beautiful rustic lake view cottage with cypress wood exterior and knotty pine interior walls, ceilings, beams, fireplace and charm galore. It is a 1000 square foot two bedroom/one bath with full amenities. Outside you can enjoy the platform porch, two-picnic table pavillion, fire pit, deck, bikes and boats. All three properties are ideal for multi-family or group vacations, retreats, etc.
Our families have been vacationing in Floral City since 1968. We've enjoyed this area so much so that we've acquired these additional properties. We hope you'll enjoy any or all of them as much as our families do.
Busch Gardens is 75 minutes to the southeast. Disney World is 80 minutes to the east. This property is located 75 minutes north of Tampa Airport.

cove Cottage is a great getaway spot for two people. We found the cottage to be a comfortable "home away from home" and met our needs very well. We've enjoyed getting acquainted with the "old Florida" area. The fresh stawberries from the Floral City Produce Market were beyond compare. Watching the pileated woodpeckers from the screened in porch was a special treat. This is a great place for those seeking peace and quiet away from highly congested tourist areas.

Ten very peaceful and relaxing days spent here. We hope to have many more in the future. We racked up many miles on the bike trail and loved the whole surrounding area.

We have decided this was our best February spent in Florida. It has been a very relaxing month. Cove is a very cozy and warm cottage and its location is so quiet, offering quiet nights for sleeping. It has been so nice being so close to the bike trail. The bagel shop in town was a wonderful surprise and the oranges for $1.00 down the road were so sweet. Hope to be back again.
