  The Cove Cottage was indeed adorable-very clean and nicely decorated. There were lots of windows so the cottage was open and airy. The location could not be beat- if it is outdoor adventure you are seeking, it is only minutes away. I loved relaxing on the huge front porch after a full day of hiking. I hope to return!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  Thank you, Mary, for sharing your little piece of restland retreat. Reminded me of being back in the Carolina mountains. Peaceful, restful and relaxing! A joy to be at and hard to leave...a chance to step back in time and regroup. Being next door to Floral City was a plus. George

  There is a kind of quiet here we haven't heard many other places. We kicked back, walked, swam with the manatees in Crystal River and had no interruptions. Lovely! Great weekend. John & Michelle

  Dear Cove, Thanks for allowing us to use Cove for a winter pause from our cold NYC weather. We have enjoyed the quite, the sun, the neighbors, the squirrels, the porch party with Joe playing accordion and Bob playing trumpet, the pouring down rain, the tornado warnings, the 80 degrees + cits 38 in NYC where we live. Enjoyed the local golf courses, enjoyed the car wash for $115.00 to replace the rear wiper assembly, the caterpillers everywhere. Especially enjoyed the OK for 2012 winter pause again.   Very comfortable and peaceful. Thanks for sharing. By the way, I went to Homosassa to try the shrimp at the "Ice Box" Tiki Bar and met a couple who rented one of your other cottages last year. They were visiting from Wisconsin. They recommended the wings at the Shamrock Inn, so I went there last night. It was a riot. People from 5 through 85 singing karaoke and having a great time. I suggest the honey bbq with Amber Bock. Thanks again. PS - The above couple said the other cottage was great too (Lotus Point).

  Our stay in Floral City flew by. Even though everyone told us it was the coldest winter in Florida - it didn't seem that bad for a couple from VT. The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Ferris Citrus Grove provided great oranges, tomatoes and made wonderful strawberry pies for us. They made great gifts for our friends and relatives. The seafood was incredible at "The Freezer." The sandwiches at the Bagel Shop could not be beat. The Shamrock Inn provided fun patrons, very good wings and entertainment. The Old World gave us serious food. Our son joined us for an afternoon at the Strawberry Festival. We spent many hours at the Hard Rock Casino and an evening at the Citrus County Fair. The peacefullness of the cottage, listening to the birds and watching the squirrels frolicking provided memories we will cherish. Welcome Spring 2010 - on to Miami Beach for Easter. Fond farewell to Cove.

  cove Cottage is a great getaway spot for two people. We found the cottage to be a comfortable "home away from home" and met our needs very well. We've enjoyed getting acquainted with the "old Florida" area. The fresh stawberries from the Floral City Produce Market were beyond compare. Watching the pileated woodpeckers from the screened in porch was a special treat. This is a great place for those seeking peace and quiet away from highly congested tourist areas.

  Ten very peaceful and relaxing days spent here. We hope to have many more in the future. We racked up many miles on the bike trail and loved the whole surrounding area.

  We have decided this was our best February spent in Florida. It has been a very relaxing month. Cove is a very cozy and warm cottage and its location is so quiet, offering quiet nights for sleeping. It has been so nice being so close to the bike trail. The bagel shop in town was a wonderful surprise and the oranges for $1.00 down the road were so sweet. Hope to be back again.
