Here is the affordable, luxurious, tropical paradise you've been seeking for your family and/or guests! Located in the countryside on a three-quarter acre, walled, private compound surrounded by ponds and lush gardens with panoramic views of the rice fields and no neighbors on any side! The villa is fully furnished in modern and traditional Balinese and Javanese styles. Wi-fi internet access.
This recently renovated, 150 year-old, nobleman's all teakwood, Javanese, joglo style home consists of one large, open, and airy room under its own pagoda roof, surrounded on two sides by a moat with sliding, carved paneled wood and glass doors that open onto gardens. Inside, overhanging a raised platform, is a museum-quality antique, carved teakwood canopy. Also, a single, canopy covered bed is located in one corner.
A breezeway connects to a second stone structure that contains a bedroom with king-size canopy covered bed, suitable for a compatible couple, a modern kitchen, and a partially open, Balinese bathroom on the terrace. In the large living-dining room area, there is an extra single bed and two day-bed loungers and a portable baby crib.
For meditation and inspiration, on the private, lower terrace there is a traditional Balinese rice barn or lumbung with a magnificent view of the rice fields. A staff of four includes a cleaner/cook for each villa, a property manager/handyman and a gardener who come daily to see to all your needs. Two Hindu shrines include a three meter-high white stone, carved padma, and daily offerings are made by the staff.
Another two-story villa in the compound is available on a short term rental basis.
Arrangements can be made for an airport pickup and drop-off by an excellent, English speaking driver with car who also may be hired during your stay in Bali. Also, the owners will happily supply expert information on how to enjoy your Bali stay to the fullest!

More Than A Lovely Place...

I am from the Philippines, owner of MJRodriguez Transcription Services and I stayed at Villa Joglo from March to April in 2009 with Hans Kemp, a photographer and book publisher. He rented one of the villas in the compound for us to stay in. I will never forget my stay at Villa Joglo. There are two houses in Villa Joglo and we stayed at the bungalow one which was perfect. Lovely living room! We had Wayan who took care of us and Dewa (I called him "Kuya" Dewa; "kuya", a Filipino term, means big brother in English) was our driver and teacher who introduced us to the Balinese culture. I truly enjoyed the sceneries, the festival, the food and the people. Villa Joglo was the place I look forward to after a day's adventure. They have such friendly staff (I won't forget Wayan) and it felt close to home. Though, I missed my daughter so much at that time because I wish she was there with us to experience Ubud, Bali through staying at this nice villa. Once I get the chance to go back and visit Ubud again, I'll take my daughter with me and this is the place where we'll stay. It's more than excellent for me....Villa Joglo gave me one of the most wonderful memories I wont' forget.
