Locals regularly congratulate each other for being lucky enough to live here. This doesn't just take place, as one might expect, during the Winter months, but surprisingly during the Summer as well!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
As I child I remember going to the beach, it was always a hassle. It took hours getting there, everywhere was crowded, finding parking was expensive (if you could find it at all) and just about the time that you started to enjoy yourself, it was time to go. I hated the hassle. The experience made me beach phobic.
Cardiff-by-the-Sea is a completely different experience. It's relaxing, family-friendly, the perfect little southern California beach town. There is always ample parking and the weather's perfect year around. It only gets better when you walk around the area. Everything's within walking distance.

What a great place to enjoy a family vacation. The accommodations were spacious and we had everything we could think of. The location was perfect...situated between Disneyland and San Diego. Great little community. Loved the quaint stores and convenience to the beach.

From the beginning to the end, a great experience. Easy to work with property owner. Very helpful and accommodating. Property in great location. Clean and roomy. Great view from rooftop deck. Short walk to beach and restaurants. I suggest Zenbu for sushi. Market is 5 minute walk. 10 minute drive to Carlsbad. Great place to rent a beach cruiser and ride. Listing photos are accurate of the property. Listing description was accurate. We would highly recommend this property and would also stay here again. Our group was two families of four. Kids between 17 and 10.

stayed for 9 days in this beautiful home. We have stayed in vacation homes all over the US & London and I have to say this was the best equipped/stocked home we have ever rented. The view from the roof deck is amazing. Beds are comfy, great selection of pots & pans etc. We truly felt at home here and hope to rent again for next extended stay. In addition the house was immaculate which was much appreciated. Location is convenient - can walk to grocery, Starbucks, several restaurants AND BEACH - close to freeway entrance as well. Loved having our family reunion in Cardiff. We had the overflow family members stay at this location and it was perfect! Everyone had a great time and the house was very comfy for our overflow. It iwas so convenient to all the shopping areas and a short distance to walk to the beach. The views were awesome from the rooftop deck and some even chose to sleep up there! The owners were great and so helpful we would love to do another family reunion soon. Thanks Carey!!

I almost don't want to write a review for this condo because I want to keep this gem a secret! The place was clean and spacious, and we immediately felt at home. Our favorite part of the house was definitely the roof top deck. Anything we needed was within walking distance including great stores and restaurants, a library, and most importantly, the beach! I really appreciated the special touches like wireless internet access with printer, dvd movies, books/magazines, and boardgames that we all took advantage of. There were even bikes in the garage that we used to ride around the town. I would highly recommend this rental, and I look forward to coming back!

I've stayed at lots of rentals through the years...I could not have been happier. The condo was open, spacious, ideally located, modern and best of all CLEAN. the masterbath has a two headed shower, I have no idea how I can go back to only 1 head!! really neat!!! Everything we did was within walking distance. A small store that makes excellent healthy meals for takeout....a handful of tremendous restaurants (Ki;s makes really fresh healthy fish and chicken dishes), a gym and starbucks and package store all clustered together and all an easy walk. The beach is across the street....beautiful stretch of beach...lots of surfers and boogie boarders beautiful condo....cant wait to rent again

This is the greatest place to relax after a stressful work-week. From the moment you arrive, you know you are on vacation. The house is spacious, clean, comfortably furnished, and equipped with anything you could possibly need in a home away from home. We were in awe from the incredible view of the sunset from the rooftop deck, and loved the extra touches of luxury such as the comfy pillow-top mattresses, each covered with soft sheets and a warm comforter/duvet. My personal favorite: the dual shower-heads in the master bath are a truly amazing feature of comfort. We also loved exploring Cardiff on foot, and found it to be a charming, laid-back beach town, with many interesting local shops and restaurants. My daughter especially liked boogie-boarding at the beach and playing in the nearby park, where there are wonderful trees for kids to climb. This is not our first time here and it will not be the last. With each visit, we find something new to appreciate about Cardiff and its nearby communities. Thank you for providing such a fabulous place to stay in a most excellent location.

After spending a week of family bonding at a timeshare in Escondido, several family members and I wanted to stay in the San Diego area a little longer. Knowing that we'd definitely need at least 2 hotel rooms for our visit, I looked into a Vacation Rental to see if I could get more space for less money. One of the reasons I chose this particular property was because it was available for rental on a daily basis rather than requiring a full week. Cardiff-by-the-Sea is a charming little town, and we were very happy to find that this property was available for our three night stay. The house has every amenity necessary for a wonderful visit. Off-street parking is a real plus, and watching the sun set over the Pacific from the rooftop deck is perfection! Large roomy spaces with one of a kind art makes this house feel like a real home. We were settled in in very short order, and felt as though we had set down roots in Cardiff! The owner provided a binder filled with information about restaurants and local attractions. The fridge was filled with a good selection of staple items, and we were invited to enjoy a lovely bottle of wine when we arrived. The photos of the property didn't do it justice. Plantation shutters, high ceilings, an open floor plan, and lovely accent pieces really made this a wonderful environment. This was my first time using Vacation Rentals, and it certainly was an easy process to book and pay for our stay. We had so much more space than I could ever have imagined, and our host was gracious and always available for our calls. This was a really great experience.

This was the perfect house in a perfect location. I rented here for 12 weeks during the winter of 2010. Very close to the freeway (1/2 mile), the beach (2 blocks), most attractions like Carlsbad, Del Mar, La Jolla, Encinitas, the zoo, the animal park, vineyards, golf courses, Balboa Park, whale watching, all downtown attractions, Coronado, the airport, etc. all within a half hour or less drive. An easy walk to post office, library, bars, restaurants, marketplace, and many others. The accomodations were wonderful. Nice art and tastefully decorated throughout. Very spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds with the best down pillows, and fabulous ocean and sunset views from the balcony. Thanks Carey and "I'll be back".
