My husband & I visit a different out island each summer. This year we chose San Salvador. It was the best experience we have ever had. The house is clean, comfortable & well furnished. We felt at home. Wayne & Sharon greeted us at the airport, took us to dinner & showed us around. We appreciated their warm welcome. We spent 2 glorious weeks sunning, snorkeling & exploring. We found many areas with great snorkeling & shell collecting. We explored the entire island and met many locals & enjoyed getting to know them. The islanders are very warm & friendly. Most supplies were easily found in neighborhood stores. We fell in love with a "potcake" (island dog) & are trying to adopt her. I doubt we will continue to visit more islands. Hopefully, we will return to San Sal & the house again & again! Best island vacation ever!!!!

We decided to take our children ages 17 and 8 to spend the holidays in San Salvador to get away from the "busy-ness" of Christmas in the U.S. We found San Salvador to be just the perfect island, with its quiet secluded beaches, friendly and helpful residents. Be prepared to wave and say hello to everyone you meet. They all have a story to tell and always have time to share them. Owners Wayne and Steven Welch met us at the airport, and kindly took us on a tour of their favorite spots on the island. The house is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood with its own private beach. This is heaven on earth! The kitchen is fully equipped to whip up holiday meals for 4. My husband perfected his grilled wahoo. Yum! There are a handful of small stores, Doreen is one that is fairly stocked, so you have to be a little creative if you plan to fix your own meals. There are many churches representing several faiths. We spent 8 wonderful nights enjoying the stars and the true blessings of the holidays- our family!

Crystal waters, breathtaking sunsets, privacy, accomodations fit for a king yet comfortable enough to relax in! If this is what you are looking for, the Coconut Cottage is perfect. The host is gracious and very informative of the ways of the island. We were given a great tour of the island and there is a jeep available for your own excursions. The cottage has everything you will need and if it doesn't, the host will know where to find it for you. Rent the cottage, pack your swimsuit, grab a Kalik and be ready to make some lifetime memories at the Coconut Cottage! We are definitely planning to return for more!

My husband and I were the first to actually stay in Coconut Cottage. With an ocean view and its close proximity to town, the location is perfect! We were very pleased with the accomodations. The cottage has a stylish decor and is furnished with everything you need and more. The owners graciously made other resources available when requested. The owners provided us with useful travel tips and helpful contacts on the island. We were very comfortable and definitely look forward to a return stay.
