The apartment belongs to an art lover couple. Working for the French Ministry of Culture, the husband often held positions abroad to promote cultural exchanges. Paintings and decoration reflects the countries he worked in.
This 100 m2 loft apt fits for 2 to 4 guests (maximum 4 adults children on request). It is located on ground floor inside a private courtyard. The whole building was formerly part of the “Pathé Studios”, the former French “Universal Studios”. The apt is located in rue “Cyrano de Bergerac”, a non through street. It is a safe and calm environment, located on the north side of MONTMARTRE
When designing the apt, choice was to create various spaces, maintaining the feeling of an open space:
• the façade bay window is wide (approx 15x25 feet) and flows the light in.
• 2 large glass brick walls bring light form a nearby skylight
• a large space dining & living room with table & pool table and sofas
• the bedroom, main bathroom, and toilets are the 3 only spaces closed.
• a 2nd bedroom area (sofa may be converted in a comfortable double bed) is located next to the 1st bedroom.
On the mezzanine, there are 4 areas:
• a small library
• a reading corner
• an extra guest area with another sofa (unfolds in double bed)
• a brick glass walled bathroom offering toilets and bathtub)
It has to be mentioned that the heights of the ceilings on mezzanine and closes spaces is approx 6.5 feet. It will not fit for unusually tall guests.
As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and Australia are generally free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. More over, calls to cell phones towards specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators.
The bay window façade opens on a large courtyard. A garden table and chairs are set where lunch may be enjoyed on sunny days.
One of the many charming stairs of the hill takes you directly to the Sacre-Coeur church, its gardens and the Old Montmartre village. Transportation is easy : the “Lamarck” subway station stays at 3 min walking distance. Most interesting Paris spots may be reached in 15mn

Montmartre is a village within Paris: it combines the atmosphere of an ancient village with trendy shops and fabulous restaurants. Many artists and movie stars live in the district. It is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

My mother, sister and I stayed in this apartment last week. It was a fabulous location with the metro within a few short blocks and stairs leading up from the apartment that made it so easy to see the areas of Paris above us without having to stay in the over priced tourist areas. The stair case I refer to was in the opening scene of the movie "Midnight in Paris". This was the second time my family rented this apartment. The beds are very comfortable which is a must for myself. I would recomend this to anyone traveling to Paris. My mother is 86 years old and was able to easily manuver around Paris from this location. Jo UK We stayed in this very comfortable apartment which is well situated in a private and quiet building at the foot of Montmartre. The apartment was beautifully furnished and our kids loved the mini snooker table and we loved the shelves full of great books! A real plus for us was that the two sofa beds could be left made up through the holiday as the flat had a separate seating area. Represents good value for money and travelling around the city from the 18th arrondisment was quick and easy as several stations were close by.

I meant to write this last month, but have been very busy. I just want to make sure that you know how much we enjoyed the apartment we rented in Montmarte (rue Cyrano de Bergerac). It was very pleasant, and exactly as described, the neighborhood was just lovely, and very close walking to cafes, shoppes, etc. The metro was also a very short walk and offered quick travel to anywhere in the city. All linens were spotless and the beds were very comfortable. We considered ourselves very fortunate to find such a large, and unique, apartment for such a great price! Thank you, and i hope we have the oppourtunity to rent from you again. David
