The condo has a terrific layout. With balconies in both the front and back and on two levels it is hard to get back inside. The open floor plan means that the cook does not have to miss any of the action going on in the living room and can see both the TV and the fireplace. But with the garden window in the kitchen, its not too bad even when you are having to do the chores.
It is perfect for the family visiting Austin with laundry room, and fully stocked kitchen. The smaller bedroom is a good size with two twin beds and room for an air mattress as well. The master bedroom is large and with the balcony right off the master, quite romantic.

Condo has that great college feel. It is in the middle of the heart of Austin in more than one way. You can walk to SoCo visit the stores, shops and restaurants and feel the diversity of the different people and their lifestyles. But more than that the people of Austin are genuinely friendly.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
This condo is a great place to stay for a parents weekend, the football game or while attending Austin City Limits or South by Southwest Conferences and Festivals. The location of this condo is the best for an Austin vacation. You are minutes from downtown Austin. There is tons of shopping within walking distance and great food as well. Some of Austin's best restaurants are within walking distance including the best breakfast tacos, terrific BBQ and fabulous Guerros for Mexican. You can see St Edward's from the porch. Lady Bird lake is great for walking, biking and kayaking. At dusk you will be amazed as the bats fly from under the Congress St. bridge. No stay in Austin without taking a tour of the Capital building. At night nothing beats the view down Congress toward the Capital. The condo is a great place to relax and enjoy all the conveniences of home instead of a hotel room. The complex has a tropical pool and a security gate. Our kids love the pool.

Susan and I met at The University of Texas in the summer of 1974. We fell in love with each other and with Austin. We live in Houston but we plan to return when we retire.

Thanks The Wades Harker Heights, Tx =============================================================== Owners note: This lessor was already on the road during a move from Oklahoma to the hill country when they found out that it would be two more days before they could move in. They wanted to make the time special for there kids by exploring Austin with the comforts of home.

11/20/2010 - 11/26/2010 Thanks for letting us stay at your condo. We had a fantastic week. We got to see a lot of fun sites such as LBJ Library, 6th Street and Cathedral of Junk. What a variety. Our plan was to cook a few meals at the condo but the abundace of jummy resturants were to tempting and very close by. This condo is in the perfect location for all kinds of food & entertainment. We even attented the Hex Rally. Again thanks for letting us use your condo. Sorry the front panel of the dishwasher came off. I’m glad we wern’t the first this happend too. My only suggestion is to keep up the good work on advertising, cleanliness and handy welcome packet. We had a great stay in Austin. The condo was in the perfect location. Would suggest the following if you get a chance: * breakfast @ Magnolia &/or Torchey’s Taco * Indian food @ The Clay Pit * BBQ @ County Line @ the lake Wonderful accommodations in a convenient location. Jim & Susan Thanks alot for your hospitality we had a great time. I strongly recommend visiting Bess Bistro down on Pecan. The Home Slice on Congress is also great. Our kid had a great summer vacation !!! He wanted a place where his kids could get into a summer program. They enrolled in the Catholic Church across the street.

We have had a wonderful month here in your condo. The kids particular loved the pool & were there several times a week. We has really enjoyed exploring the area & eating India Kitchen on Riverside and Tarbouch Restaurant on Oltorf. We spent several wonderful day trips visiting San Antonio & Perdinalis Falls. We rented canoes at Zilker Park twice & loved seeing all the fish & turtles. Austin is a great place & the location & amenities of your condo made our stay all the better! We stayed for 5 days in mid-September for a family trip. It was a great experience! PROS: Great, and I mean GREAT location in close proximity (ie walking) to a grocery store and pharmacy. Also a short bike, bus, or car ride to tons of fabulous restaurants and shops in the South Congress and/or Downtown area. The apartment itself is in a secure, gated complex. The neighbors are friendly and the pool area was great to hang out in. The apartment is modestly decorated with all the necessary essentials. A blow up mattress was provided, which was a nice perk. I believe pets are available upon request, which was great for us. The owner is a pleasure to work with - very accommodating. CONS: The complex needs to add in additional outdoor lighting as the parking lot is VERY dark at night. I would definitely stay here again - highly recommended!

My band and I stayed here during the SXSW festival, and couldn't be more pleased. The condo was spotless, had everything we needed for our stay, and was in a prime spot one mile south of downtown. It is located right off Congress Ave., a few blocks from Magnolia's, tons of great shopping, and lots of great food. We also were able to walk to and from downtown for the festival (alternatively, only a $5 cab ride). The price we were offered couldn't be beat, and Jim, the renter, was very professional and easy to do business with. Highly recommend.

We live in Keokuk, Iowa and came to Austin for the month of February. For the past four years we have used VRBO to help us fine a place that appeals to use, and we have never been disappointed. We are very please with the layout of this condo and it’s location. The weather has not been as we expected. There have been cold days, rainy days and a few warm and sunny days. We even has one day of rain, ice and snow! However, we are enjoying our winter getaway and have been out exploring the sights daily. We like to walk and have found several paths and trials. We took a day trip to Fredericksburg and stopped on the way back to see the Perdenales Falls. Our favorite eating place was the Moon Shine where we had an evening meal waited patiently on Sunday for there brunch – 1 ½ hours, but it was worth it. Amy’s Ice Cream is a frequent stop for desert. We found everything we needed in this condo, and are sorry to see our stay come to and end.Paul & Eleen GaylordFeb 1 to Feb 282010
