What a wonderful time. The bungalow was so charming and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we caught some grouper that we cooked up! We even went scalloping! We rode the bikes, shopped in town, visited the beaches and explored the area. The evening sunsets from the porch were tremendous! We are definitely coming back again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Stayed at this cute cottage for 5 nights with my husband and our 2 dogs. Was very clean, well stocked and decorated nicely. Small, but the perfect size for us. Fenced in front and back yard a definite plus if you have pets. We loved sitting on the front porch in the evening and watching the sun set over the bay. Walking distance to downtown Port St. Joe with several restaurants and shops. Easy driving distance to Cape San Blas beaches which were very dog friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our stay in this adorable, comfortable and well stocked bungalow was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I spent more time at the bungalow than we had originally planned because we loved it. Our pet maltese had so much fun in the private, fenced back yard and also around the very pet friendly community. My heart warmed when I saw that Debbie had even set out dog food bowls for our pet. We enjoyed long walks, the beautiful bay, the convenient shops and amazingly delicious seafood. The food at Sunset Grill and Triple Tails was our favorite although everywhere we ate was good. We enjoyed shopping at Persnickerty and Blue Waters. And we had fun visiting Apalachicola one afternoon. My husband and I were amazed at how centrally and closely located Port St. Joe is to so many other bay and beach areas. Debbie provided us with lots of information that helped us plan our activities. She was so accomodating and friendly that we felt right at home there. We will definitely return.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We really enjoyed staying at the bungalow by the bay! It was cozy, charming and had everything we needed. It was walking distance to Port St. Joe, the Methodist Church (which has a great outdoor service on the water) and the water. We brought my mom here for her 70th birthday and had a wonderful time. My daughter really enjoyed the nice back yard. We would definitely stay here again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We really enjoyed our stay at the bungalow in Port Saint Joe. The home was warm and inviting, and we had everything we needed. We came in town for my mom's 70th birthday, and she wanted to attend the Methodist Church on Sunday morning. We walked to church, and it was beautiful! The neighborhood is so cute and quiet. We loved to front porch and our daughter loved to play in the back yard. It would be perfect for a dog. We will definitely stay again...thanks for everything! Jenni, Andy, Ashlyn and "Nanna"Owner response: Thanks so much for the great review and I am so glad that you had a wonderful time and that Nanna had a special birthday. We would love to have you visit again anytime!

We had a wonderful stay in Port St. Joe and Debbie and Gary's bungalow was perfect and very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast each morning on the screened front porch with a view directly to the gulf of Mexico. We enjoyed going to the beaches at Cape San Blas and Mexico Beach, riding our motorcycle along the scenic waterfront highway 98 and enjoyed shopping the nice shops in Apalachicola. Our little Cavalier King Charles spaniel also had a great time and the bungalow was perfect for her as well with front and back fenced in yards. Port St. Joe is such a nice village and it reminds me of Florida when I used to come with my parents in the 1960's. We look forward to returning to this bungalow again and thank Debbie and Gary for their friendly hospitality!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We wanted to get away for a rest on a beautiful beach but we also wanted to avoid crowds. We stumbled upon this lovely cottage in Port Saint Joe (had never heard of it). As soon as we walked into the cottage we knew we had made a great choice. It is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and the water. The front screened in porch was so so nice in the morning having a cup of coffee and looking out at the bay. Debbie has everything you need to make a meal in the kitchen, extra beach towels, washer/dryer and comfortable beds. Plus the beach at Windmark had beautiful white sand, a nice wooden walkway and no one in sight. We thought we were on some island. But there is plenty to do from boat rentals at the Marina, bike trails (they have some at the cottage) and music/art downtown. If you really want to have fun drive up to Saint Joseph Peninsula State Park. The Gulf is on one side and the bay on the other. On the bay side you can pull into the beach area then walk right out into crystal clear water, lay down with your goggles and snorkel. We are going to go back at the end of this summer. Plus Debbie is such a wonderful hostess. I forgot a envelope in one of the bedroom drawers. It had 3 credit cards plus over $500 in cash. I remembered on our way home. I called her and they had the housekeeper overnight it to me. What more could you ask from a kind group of people. If you have a dog, you will love this place.Did you find this review helpful? What a nice little get away! Upon arriving at our home away from home, we were pleasantly surprised to find a well stocked kitchen, cozy furniture, a welcoming front porch. The home was super clean too! Our dog Charlie loved chasing the squirrels along the fenced in yard (he didn't catch any) and it was nice to not have to worry about him running off since the entire property is enclosed, front and back. We had several shrimp boils in the kitchen as the fresh seafood was to die for (try St. Joe Shrimp Co. on Rt. 30A). We did go to Port Inn for appetizers one evening (try the escargot, oh my) and Provisions (another oh my) and down to Apalachicola to the Sea Food Grill (three times) for the oysters. I don't even like oysters, but I do now! The cottage is everything you could hope for and is within easy walking distance to the little town with a great pet store, gift shops and some very good restaurants. You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Thanks for allowing us to stay in your cute bungalow. It was the best vacation. The morning walks and afternoon sunsets were beautiful. My teenagers liked the clear beaches and great fishing. We rented a boat and went snorkling. Wow..... enough said. The fenced in back and front yards were a plus too. Thanks so much for opening your home to the Seabolt family. We really enjoyed every minute that we were there.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: We have lived in Colorado for 30 years but we absolutely LOVE the Gulf! Once we came to visit, we knew we had to make this our regular VACATION DESTINATION and 'Home Away from Home'. We fell in love with the water, the charm of this quaint little town and our wonderful bungalow. The scenery is beautiful and the folks are so friendly. We come down every chance we get. There is so much to do and every season is fun! We love to discover new creatures in the water and on the beach. We hope that you'll enjoy it as much as we do. Once you're here, you don't want to leave.
Why the Owner Chose Port St. Joe:
This charming bungalow is in the best location! You can easily walk to the park, the boat ramp, the marina, and the downtown shops and restaurants. We also love the beautiful evening sunsets over the bay. This is what life is all about!
