If you are at the house, you would never be tired of looking out the windows. Your eyes would be glued to the view; with all the windows, it is like watching a movie -- rainbows, fogs, mists, etc. Then, your eyes would marvel at the well thought out construction details in this beautiful house and the first class furnishings. You would feel so pampered to be cocooned in all the opulent touches like the kitchen, the heated bathroom floors, a jacuzzi room, a sauna.......and you would feel happy to have Corlea House as your home while you are abroad. Our family thoroughly enjoyed being in Corlea House for a month; it is a first class house. Incredibly, what topped this beautiful house is Vincent and Mary who took such good care of us. They welcomed us with flowers and cake. They called and checked on us, gave us travel tips and lots of their time. Like my son said: "Having tea with Vincent and Mary is my highlight." You will enjoy meeting these good people too! It is a rare combination to stay at a meticulously cared for elegant house and also be so warmly cared for during your stay. Finding this gem and knowing Vincent and Mary has made our first trip to Ireland very memorable -- we feel very fortunate.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful stay in this lovely and spacious Irish home. We were thrilled from the moment we met with the owner's family. We were greeted as if we were family. The house is everything that was advertised and so much more. It has everything you could possibly need and it is beautifully decorated! The sunset views outside the wonderful sunroom and the views outside the living-room were spectacular. You can see why they say Ireland has 40 shades of green. We were so sad to leave but we feel like we made some great friends. I highly recommend staying in this breathtakingly beautiful home!

We (2 adults and 2 children under 7) stayed at Corlea House in the April school holidays. The house was beautiful and even lovelier than we thought based on the online photos. There was plenty of room for us and the children loved having so much space. The house was well provisioned and included everything we needed for our stay. We were meet in a nearby town and shown to the house and given a very nice welcome (the easter eggs and cake were a lovely touch). The views from the house were fantastic and we enjoyed many a stunning sunset over the Lough. Staying at Corlea House made our great holiday even better.

From our first interactions with the family at Corlea House, I knew we were in good hands. We had two couples, including ourselves, arriving separately at the House...and my party ended up meeting Vincent and team almost an hour later than we had said (who knew those roads were so windey!). He and his wife had a huge welcoming smile and didn't mind. They had even brought us a cake! AWESOME! The house itself is beyond words. The bedrooms were spacious and amazing....with a master bathroom in each king sized bedroom and a smaller bath in the downstairs double bedroom. We had more rooms than people! The kitchen was beautiful and I cannot put into words how stunning the scenery is. We sat and just looked outside of the bay windows drinking a pint. It was amazing. If you're looking to rent a house, this is definitely it. We were able to drive to the scenic countryside attractions (Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moore, etc) and loved having Corlea House as our home base. I hope you do too!

The listing was spot on but could hardly have prepared us for the beauty and luxury that we found when we arrived at Corlea House. The entire process of renting was easy and added to our enjoyment. The local attractions we enjoyed most were The Cliffs of Mohr, Bunratty Castle and all the local Golf Courses, some of which we visited more than once. Peppers Pub in Feakle was our favorite local pub. My only regret is not having more time at Corlea House! We will be returning. :)

This house is a "home". It is warm and comfortable and serene. The furnishings are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and it is outfitted with everything you could want to cook and entertain guests. I will return again and again, as long as it is possible for me to travel. It is a beautiful, delightful and magical place to spend time either alone or surrounded by people you love.

Over the years, my family and I have stayed in many vacation rental houses. This time, my 3 boys, aged 17, 15 and 12 and my mother and I spent 5 weeks exploring Ireland, and stayed in 4 different houses in 4 different counties. This house was by far the most beautiful house / location we've ever leased anywhere - had I known ahead of time how much we'd enjoy this place, we would have stayed for most of our trip! The house was very thoughtfully built, with incredible views of the lake and surrounding hills from every window. Watching the interplay of light and shadows in the valley below was indescribably beautiful. And the sunsets, well, those you have to see for yourself to appreciate! All of this could be watched from the comfort of the sunny atrium off the kitchen. The kitchen is truly a cooks dream with every tool you can imagine. There was a nice side yard where my three boys enjoyed playing soccer every day, and lots of fantastic walking paths nearby. Some of my kids favorite memories are of picking wild raspberries and strawberries that grow along the nearby hiking trails and exploring the woods near the house. It was great not to have to worry about them going off on their own. The house was also a safe and comfortable place for my 80 year old mother as there was a lovely bedroom on the first floor, so she did not have to climb any stairs. The neighbors were so kind and the caretakers Mary and Vincent were warm, welcoming and helpful. It was very hard to say goodbye to them and to leave that beautiful house and area. If we are ever lucky enough to go back to Ireland, I'd make sure to stay at Corlea House again!

Our family stayed at Corlea House this past summer and it was great! The house is beautiful and very comfortable, and situated in the mountains, overlooking Lough Derg. It provided amazing views all day long, and a wonderful escape from rainy weather. Corlea House is an ideal place to stay for visiting County Clare. It’s close to Galway, Limerick and the Burren, which made it great, although longer trips up and down the coast were possible as well, and it’s great for exploring the Mountshannon region. The owner’s family, who live locally, were unbelievably warm, welcoming, and helpful—any problems we had they were more than willing to help us out. They, like all of the other Irish people we met on our trip, were very friendly and helpful. Ireland is a beautiful country and Corlea House made the trip even better—we would definitely recommend it and would happily stay there again!

This beautiful house is certainly the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! All the amenities of home, yet in a luxurious setting. I love all the windows as the views are to die for! My daughters and I enjoyed a vacation in June of 2009 in Ireland, and I have been all over the Carribean, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica.... and this was by far our most favorite spot yet. The Irish people are the most welcoming people, and being single, I have no clue why I came back to America? We were fortunate to have 9 days of 80 degree sunny weather during our stay - I think it is to get us to come back! The location of this beautiful house was ideal for us. It was very easy to tour many of the places on the west coast we wanted to visit and be able to return in the same day. This house also offers the opportunity for a Stay-cation as you can walk daily around the area for good exercise, unforgettable scenery, and there are some quiet little local pubs close by down the mountain with warm welcoming people who will chat you up with a Guinness in the evening. Honestly, a little slice of heaven to be sure!
