I just loved the location where I could every morning get my French breakfeast pastries, look at every shop opening, the market being set up all while sipping the best cafe au lait I have tasted. Shop owners were friendly and most of all the building was so gorgeous and the appartment very efficient and with a lovely bathroom and kitchen and a great wall of windows. I loved walking through the private garden with the beautiful landscaped paths with many flowers and flwoering bushes in the spring to go from the lobby to the appartment. Just perfect. the size of the appartment works very well and has different areas, with very comfortable seating, a great place to work at night if I had to, I would do it again if I have the chance to.

About: My family is half American and half French. There is myself, living in Washington DC, and my 3 children: 26 year old navy Pilot, a 24 year old daughter college graduate who loves the shopping and cafes of the area, and a 16 year old son (High school in DC) that within hours of getting off from his DC to Paris Flight meets up with his friends in the area cafes. Having lived in both Paris and the States, I vacation in Paris once a year, and love having a place in the best area of Paris, where I find all the nice shops, see the trendy Parisians, and feel very safe in a very High end luxury building. It's where the upper class Parisians live and play. It is high-end and trendy. Walk to the most photographed place of Paris, the Trocadero (where everyone gets their picture taken in front of the Eiffel Tower -- see my picture!). Within minutes you are everywhere you want to be, wether it is museums, tourist attractions, shows, sport events as Roland Garros or le Stade du Parc des Princes, or Notre-Dame the most famous cathedral of Paris.
Why Paris Arrondissement 16:
Every time I come back to Paris, I wanted to feel pampered and feel as in a high end hotel, in a place that I would feel on vacation, which is what you experience as soon as you enter my building through the very high end marble large lobby with fresh flowers and concierge 24 hr a day at his desk, with high security and a fantastic garden next to the lobby, which I find so refreshing to see after a day of sightseeing and shopping (or working). I live in Washington DC, but vacationed in France many years, lived in Paris for 2 years, so I wanted a place where I could have a leisurely breakfast at the Trocadero, at night a glass of wine on the terrace at Cafe de l' Homme that overlooks gardens with the best view of the illuminated Eiffel Tower, or at the restaurant near the trocadero or the arc de triomphe (and be able to safely walk back to my apartment. I wanted all the luxury of America in the center of Paris, and when I first saw the luxury lobby with the concierge desk, then the best Parisian building elevator with space for all my luggage after a transatlantic night flight, that the concierge would call me a taxi when needed, that I could go downstairs and get my delicious croissants, or sushi or Starbucks or best catered dinner in the Passy Plaza, that same day I bought the appartment! I wanted a place that made me feel pampered as in a great hotel. I had an architect work to transform the inside of the appartment to make it very functional, elegant, with marble bathroom, full bath, and full designer granite kitchen in 2007, with American granite kitchen bar, dishwasher etc. I love and need sunlight and this apartment has a wall of windows with a modern feeling of luxury. feeling
