’Thank You so much for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home. We found the whole experience relaxing and very enjoyable. It was such a privilege to be able to share your family history and indeed, the whole history of Florence. Discovering your relationship to Sofonisba Anguissola was particularly fascinating and I shall be keen to learn more about her in the future. Our family loved to be able to use the swimming pool – and in such a wonderful place. We visited the main sides in Florence – the Uffizzi, Duomo, Academia and our children were amazed by what they saw and learned. There is so much here, that although we wanted to do much more, there wasn’t time to fit it all in. We also visited Valonbrona and Lago di Bilancino – lovely places to relax and take walks in nature. Thank You once again for your hospitality!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
Why the Owner Chose Piazzale Michelangelo:
The Melograno has been in our family for a very long time, we have also lived in it (before moving into Il Merlo Nero) and from then it has been used as our guesthouse. We have tried to keep very much of the old furniture and beautiful old paintings to keep its character.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
An affordable way to arrange family reunions, or group of friends being in walking distance to the city centre, and flavouring the florentine lifestyle in a typical tuscan villa and breathing history with the villa's 14th century reminescences.
The owners will be delighted (if there) to invite you to enjoy a coffee in their stunning italian garden with its beautiful hedge maizes.
