  The island and this villa far surpassed our expectations! 3 couples vacationed for the first time on St. John and we all were amazed at the views from the villa and the beauty of the island! Very comfortable with nice luxury throughout the property. The layout of the villa and the outside showers were a big hit with us! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! We will be back!

  Our family has traveled to the Virgin Islands multiple times, staying in both the USVI and the BVI. Bay Rum Breeze was by far our favourite vacation. The house is spectacularly located with the most amazing view and full benefit of the tradewinds from its mountaintop location. The house itself is also beautiful and well-appointed. The layout is perfect for a family or for a group of friends. Highly recommend this villa! We can't wait to go back!!!! Brian and Kellie, Minneapolis, MN

  We just left St John after 9 nights in Bay Rum Breeze. The home was excellent for the 6 people that we had there. The space was very functional and the materials that were chosen for the house were high end. There were little touches that shows the owners love and take care of the home; things like high quality towels, an espresso maker, salad spinner and other small items made our trip excellent. THe home is relatively new but has been kept up well.The property management team was excellent and when we had a water pressure issue they were at the villa in less than an hour on a Saturday night and they stayed until it was fixed. The outdoor showers and private balcony for each room were really well done. It is hard for pictures to depict the space the way it feels. The villa faces East and had a good breeze for those hot days. Our weather was not as good as expected and the breeze made some of the time a little chilly at night. Overall a fantastic home and we would recommend it highly.

  My family loved everything about this place. I had purposely hidden the online photos I saw of it before we got there, so their surprise at every detail when we got there would be bigger. But even I was surprised -- the gorgeous and accurate online photos still don't capture the feeling of being there. The property is fresh and clean and solid, and every bit of it is well-planned-out. We loved the shady veranda for our coffee and lazy afternoons; we loved shuttling back and forth between the pool and the hot tub; and I even enjoyed cooking simple dinners in the well-stocked kitchen with amazing views of the BVI. My sand-averse husband may be the first person ever to visit St. John without setting foot on the beach, but he absolutely adored reading his kindle on the veranda -- the most relaxed I've seen him in years. The rest of us sampled the delights of the North Shore beaches and Salt Pond beach, and had one afternoon doing the tourist thing in Cruz Bay. We spent one day on a sailboat (Long Distance out of Coral Bay, highly recommended), learning to snorkel and enjoying the water. We ate at Miss Lucy's a couple nights: delicious food and incredible beachside ambiance. There are plenty of things left for us to do on St. John, but this was the right balance of activity and laziness for us. We got all the help we could have asked for from the hospitable owner before we got there, and even got a phone call from her while we were there. She was great.

  We loved Bay Rum Breeze from the second we entered. There is a cool breeze that greets you as you look at the amazing views. With a more than fully equipped kitchen, amazing sound system, showers that allow you to look at other islands as you shampoo, your daily thought: is this place for real? Nyesha from Viva was great as well. My favorite night on the island was just grilling outdoors at Bay Rum Breeze, listening to music, and relaxing with my family. You won't be disappointed!

  We enjoyed visiting St. John, a very pristine island full of nature, and Bay Rum Breeze on Mamey Peak was a centrally located villa from which it was easy to explore the island. There truly is a pleasant breeze! It's a beautiful house with many thoughtful amenities such as coolers and ice packs so you can pack a lunch for outings; floaties for the beaches; beach chairs, umbrella, and so much more. Kitchen and laundry room are well-supplied for convenience. Beach towels and totes are provided. Unobstructed and unparalleled views from the pool and hot tub. There are several decks, my favorite is the upper floor deck for viewing stars at night. Our i-Pad pointed out all the constellations and star names! On top of that, premium bedding and towels; movies, books and games. We enjoyed an old Hitchcock flick. Finally, if you MUST do some work, the WiFi and our AT&T cell phones worked great. Thank you, owners, for a lovely stay.

  Bay Rum Breeze was wonderful in every way! We went on a family vacation and the minute we walked into this beautiful home, the children jumped in the pool. The view is breathtaking and the house is beautifully decorated and well appointed. We could not have asked for more! The bedrooms are actually suites with outside showers. The outside showers were the biggest hit! Now everyone wants one in their bathroom at home! The sound system in Bay Rum Breeze is fantastic and we enjoyed it inside & outside whenever we were there. Cooking was even a pleasure in this home because the kitchen is so big and well equipped and the outside grill area is tremendous. We even grilled the fish that the guys caught deep sea fishing. This home is so peaceful and we feel so fortunate to have found such a gorgeous home with a pool and a fantastic view too. Being in the mountains is even better than we anticipated because we had a nice, cool breeze at night and didn't really need the ac. There are several great beaches that are very close by and not crowded. We rarely went into town because we spent most of our time between the house, Coral Bay, Trump Bay and Maho Bay snorkeling and just enjoying ourselves. The house and premises are extremely clean and well taken care of, exactly as described and shown on VRBO. Actually, it was more beautiful that the photos showed. The owner was wonderful and very helpful in every way. We can't wait to go back. I would definitely recommend this property to all friends, relatives and anyone reading this............

  Beautiful home! Design and furnishings are top notch and the attention to detail is evident. The view is gorgous and we could see it from not only the pool, but our bedroom and shower too ! The gourmet kitchen has everything you could want. Location is perfect for the north shore beaches and Coral Bay and Cruz bay too. The home is larger than the photos show and the owner, Ellen, was really helpful.

  On our first visit to St. John's, we could not have felt more welcome to the island. Our villa, Bay Rum Breeze, was spectacular, with great amenities and an awesome view. We liked the location, very private and quiet but close to the beaches and Coral Bay area. We spent many evenings taking in the spectacular views of Coral Bay from the patio and restful nights up on the star gazing deck where the view was just as incredible. Watching the breathtaking sunrise every morning was worth the vacation. The gourmet kitchen is wonderfully equipped with every amenity that you could want. Stunning granite countertops are the centerpiece of the kitchen. The villa has the perfect floor plan for private bedrooms with beautifully tiled outdoor showers. We spent most of our time on the patio where we could take advantage of the beautiful pool and hot tub. We found VIVA Villa’s very organized, efficient and easy to work with. Our greeter Nyiesha was an unexpected plus. Our thanks to the owners for sharing their home with us and taking such pride in their villa. We can’t wait to return.

  Bay Rum Breeze is the ultimate vacation home! It is very obvious that a lot of thought went into the construction of this house. There is an incredible view of Coral Bay from every room in the house...even the outdoor showers! The bedrooms are situated for privacy and have great built-ins in the large closets. The kitchen was beautiful and was supplied with every utensil we could have needed. The open concept kitchen, dining and living were so spacious and comfortable. We truly felt right at home. As awesome as the inside of the house was, we actually spent most of our time on the outside patio and deck. It is difficult to describe how amazing the outdoor living space is at Bay Rum Breeze. A built-in gas grill, plush outdoor furniture and a hot tub with a killer view...who could ask for anything more?! We will definitely return to Bay Rum Breeze!
