  The house is very roomy, with 6 bedrooms, a lots of bunk beds. Offers place for everyone. The location is just perfect, conveniently located at the Tahoe Donner community with quick access to the ski lifts, cross country skiing, snow tubing, and snow play area. There are guest passes to the nearby recreation center with sauna and swimming pool. The house is well stocked, cozy living room with fireplace, big family room on the ground level. The view from the dining room is amazing. A wonderful getaway destination.

  We spend a weekend in October at this nice cabin. It is not luxury home, but we were attracted by the price. It is located in a quite neighborhood, far from the freeway. We had 5 kids with us and they were busy on the playground. There was not enough furniture on the deck and the upper level was pretty hot during the daytime. We are planning to rent it again next fall.

  Okay - so it took me only 4 months after my visit to come back and write a review about our stay- but even after this long - I feel the same thrill of the fun times we had at this house. We were 4 families with over 10 kids - so needed a place that could comfortably accommodate us and more importantly still leave enough living area for the kids to have a good time. The playground behind the house in my opinion was the MOST used area of the property during our stay. There are plenty of beds and even more plenty linen and towels that took care of all our needs. The house has all the amenities you would expect for an extended stay. The kitchen is equipped to cater for a large group. The multiple levels with bedrooms on all levels gave us the desired privacy and the bunk beds were awesome for the kids. Now here's were the owners went above and beyond. They were extremely courteous and patient with the unending questions I had while booking the place. I could communicate and get everything done by email - did not have to call them as they were so responsive. After our stay one of the kids forgot their ITouch and the owners took the efforts to search and find it - and mail it to us. Love working with honest and true people. I highly recommend the property and the owners who are a delight to correspond and work with!!

  The two of us have actually stayed here twice. Last summer we were visiting West Coast and spent three days in this beautiful house while exploring mountains and lakes in the area. We loved the place and decided to come back this winter for some snowboarding. That we did a month ago right in time for the last snowstorm of the season - it was perfect! The house is as great in winter as it was in summer. It is huge and cozy at the same time, beds (we have tried two different rooms) are very comfortable and the views are amazing.   My family and I stayed here this year on a weekend and it was so beautiful and peaceful. House is located conveniently in a nice community very close to Donner Ski Ranch. If you are with kids then you can walk to walk to the ski lift to have winter fun. Alpine, Skuaw and Northstar are short ride away. You can spend evening siting in front of fireplace or go to fancy restaurant in Trukee. The house was very spacious, clean and has great mountains view. Bedrooms are quite comfortable. The homeowners were wonderful! I highly recommend this home as a getaway destination.

  if you're going in winter - get ready for warm, comfortable house. I'f you're going in summer, house will be a cool place to stay, to rest. It has an astonishing view from the window, an the house is rather beatiful itself.

  A wonderful retreat for the whole family or a group of friends!!! Thank you Maria and Alex!! I would never imagine how beautiful (including views of Mt. Rose) one place could be! Great location of the large house (up to 22 guests) allows easy access to Downtown Truckee, Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, and ski resorts! Restaurants, entertainment, and I-80 are near by. One week flew like a day! Thank you for thinking of everything! Room to rest and play for all! Plenty of house space, lots of toys for kids, pool table, large wall mounted flat screen TV, balcony. Free WiFi access and iPod speakers were an extra feature that our family enjoyed a lot! :) Lastly, the price is extremely reasonable considering all accommodations!!!

  We stayed at the cabin in February for the weekend and were pleased with our stay. The house is big and cozy, the view is amazing. The house conveniently located close to Tahoe Donner downhill ski area, you can actually see the lifts from the house. Outside there is the kids playground area. The house is kids and family friendly. We also liked pool table and TV in the living area. The owners provide passes to the Tahoe Donner rec center with swimming pools and sauna, very nice. Would love to stay there again!

  We stayed at this house in summer, 2011. All of the 12 people loved the house! There is plenty of space for everyone. Small kids played by the creek on the playground, dads enjoyed the pool table. During the day we drove (4min) to Donner Lake beach. The water was warm enough to swim. We also tried stand up paddle boarding (SUP) there and fell in love with this activity. They have these boards for rent and you may go around the lake with kids sitting on the boards. We will return to this house again next summer. Thank you!
