The house was great for our two kids and grandkids. Large comfortable living areas, big well stocked kitchen, lots of snowplay things in the large garage and pretty comfortable beds. Sharon was very helpful and responsive especially since we were there during the big Presidents week snowfall. The included driveway clearing service was at least daily during the big dump and pretty early in the day so we could get out and go places. Their electric snowblower helped a lot where the big plows couldn’t go

Fabulous house for our extended family group’s Christmas break. Beautiful home in a super location (especially when it snowed). Plenty of room for our group of six adults and one infant. Very well-appointed with everything we needed to cater for ourselves over Christmas. Just a short drive to the cute town of Truckee, which had interesting shops and a couple of supermarkets. Sharon was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Peaceful location

Our family enjoyed the spaciousness of this home and the very peaceful setting and street. Beautiful golf course view. Teens (and parents) enjoyed the foosball table. Wonderful mountain biking trails at Alder Creek adventure center. Thank you Sharon and family.

Great House!

We enjoyed our stay at this house! It had great kitchen and living room space. There were 9 of us staying here and everyone was comfortable. We loved the back deck as well, very peaceful with the golf course view. Nice location in Tahoe Donner!

Wonderful stay in really nice cabin

We were a large family and had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It is located in Truckee (avoiding a lot of traffic in getting to the lake) close to a number of ski resorts. The house is nicely setup, has a very well stocked kitchen, lots of games and toys for kids and enough space for a large family. The hosts were also very responsive and check-in etc. were a breeze. Would definitely come back here when visiting Tahoe / Truckee.

Great family home

Enough space for adults and children to have a great time away. When we walked onto the deck on the first floor, we found snow to play right outside. The children loved it.

Wonderful time

We had a wonderful time at this lovely home and the experience exceeded our expectations! It was perfect for our two families (4 adults, 4 kids)- plenty of space for everyone to hang out and be together, and also have some privacy for down time. Great location and everything you could need and didn't think of! Thanks so much for having us! We hope to be back in the future!

Great stay for a large group

We had 6 adults and 4 young children in our group and stayed 3 nights. The kitchen and common spaces were large enough to fit us all comfortably even with the kids running around. The kitchen was well equipped with double ovens, large gas stove, plenty of prep space and working dishwasher. The backyard was a fun place for snow play. Check in and check out were easy. Overall we had a blast and would stay here again.

Loved our stay!

The house is wonderful for family gatherings. We had three families in our group. We loved how spacious the living, dining and kitchen areas are, and we loved hanging out around the large dining table. It’s really nice that each room has its own full bathroom with two of the rooms having en suite bathrooms. The location is great. The house is on a quiet street that is fun and easy to bike ride and walk around with little ones. We also really appreciated the Tesla charger in the garage and the easy communication with Susan. A great stay!

Ideal for winter family fun!

The house offered one of our best VRBO experiences. We love Truckee for both summer and winter vacations, and this was our best house rental. The kitchen was outstanding and let us cook many family meals and desserts. The kids loved the foosball table and backyard for snow play. It was a short drive to ski resorts. It snowed heavily in the preceding days, and the roads and driveway were plowed well enough that we didn’t need chains and we appreciated having the 2 car garage. The beds were very comfortable! I will definitely mark this as a favorite for a future trip!

Great Large House in Tahoe Donner

Great large house with ski lodge/bear theme. Large open space on main floor with beautiful fireplace, large sectional, long dining table, and kitchen with lots of counter space accommodated our large family reunion with ease. We enjoyed our mornings on the scenic main floor deck which overlooks a naturally landscaped backyard with a view of the golf course fairway. The teenaged kids enjoyed the foosball table in the playroom. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds comfortable. The cabin was clean, unlike a couple of rentals other family members had. The rental comes with 6 guest passes that offer access to the association’s pools and beach access with a daily fee.If available for next year’s reunion, we will be staying here!

An AMAZING Property - and Owner

The property was fully consistent with its VRBO summary. Well-maintained, spacious, perfect for dinners with a large family with a great dining table (12), bar (3) and adjacent round table (4). With ample space in the kitchen for several cooks. Well-stocked kitchen - one of the few VRBO properties that truly deliver on this score. Excellent communication with Sharon - the property owner. Immediately responsive.

My family purchased this vacation home in 2001 because we loved to ski and spend family vacations in Tahoe. We loved the Tahoe Donner Ski Area when the kids were learning to ski and the convenience of a 5 minute drive. We like the convenience of Northstar, Squaw, and Alpine resorts are so close. We live in the Bay Area so it's a quick trip to the mountains and the relaxation of a beautiful home. The amenities are exceptional too!

This home provides a tranquil peace from the moment you enter the door. We have employed the same property management service for over 15 years and they specialize in full cleaning service. Upstairs the great room combines a mountain home spaciousness with fun game table and kitchen conversation. You can be cooking in the kitchen, chat with friends sitting at the counter bar stools, and watch the fire sparkle in the fireplace. Amenities galore - there are lots of activities to choose from. In the backyard is a level lot to play in snow in the winter and create your own sledding hills, use our provided sleds. In the summertime, sit on the deck and watch the golfers go by from the backyard decks. Make a tee time and join in the fun! In the summer, horseshoe pit is out back.
