Mar y Selva Retreat is an immersion in the rainforest, with fresh clean air and all the comforts of home. Near virgin beaches, It has the only semi-Olympic size pool in the southern part of Costa Rica. We take pride in providing you excellent service. Our view is of the Ballena Marine National Park and we are close to Corcovado National Park as well as Caño Island, the mangroves of the Sierpe and Térraba rivers, several beautiful beaches and surfing areas as well as refreshing waterfalls, including Nauyaca Falls.
The main house gives you a wonderful view of the ocean and the rainforest and is open and large enough for receptions, conferences, yoga classes/retreats, etc. You can also spend time here reading, playing board games, watching programs on our 52”TV, check your email or be treated to one of our Spa Treatments.
There are 10 bungalows surrounded by trees (6 single and 2 sets of two adjoining bungalows – great for families or groups of friends). The howler monkeys and the toucans surround you, as will a myriad of other birds, butterflies and other small animals and reptiles of the forest. Each bungalow has A/C and a fan, a Queen or King size bed, a Full size futon, hot water with tub or shower, hair dryer, safe, small fridge, and a private terrace. Wi-Fi is available throughout. We can help you arrange everything, cars, tours, chef services , yoga classes & more. We are currently remodeling to offer a fresh clean updated feel. This is a perfect retreat for families, friends or a business retreat.

I can not say enough about the Mar y Selva staff and facilities, they were fantastic. My extended family and I stayed there for a week during the Whale festival and we absolutely had a blast. The hotel was exactly as advertised (very refreshing if you have ever been sucked in by the advertisements and then arrived to find that it wasn't exactly what was advertised or the photos were years old) and the staff was very helpful and responsive. We were able to see the whales and enjoy other once in a lifetime experiences as well. While in Costa Rica we also went horse back riding, zip lining and took a tour of the local environmental reserves. All in all just a fantastic experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Rates
Currently we are offering the full lodge at $6500 per week. The weekly price also includes a prepared breakfast for 30 people, two sea kayaks and four mountain bikes for your use during your stay. If you wish to rent individual bungalows, we offer each bungalow for $135 per night.
