McCall house description
Our home has a beautiful view of the mountains all the way from Brundage to Tamarack and more. I can also see Jug Handle Mountain from the large wrap-around porch. It is a great secluded location right in downtown McCall, and just a block North of the Airport, if you are flying your own plane to town. Non aviators, don't worry this is the quiet end of the airport and very peaceful location. There is a paved bike trail just across the field behind the house that connects up to other bike trails to the South or is a direct path to town to the North. Great for walking or biking.
Central location for access to Payette Lake, or any of the local Alpine or Nordic Ski Parks. Perfect location when McCall is busy during Winter Carnival or July 4, as it is only a short walk to the activities in town, or to a restaurant or Shopping. Grocery shopping is also a very short walk.
There is in-floor radiant heat and a propane (looks like wood) stove for additional radiant heat when you come in from playing in the snow.
Two upstairs bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a downstairs bedroom that is very large and provides a bit more privacy from the rest of the house. The master bedroom is upstairs. There is a 2 car garage and a wrap around drive way that is plenty large to park snowmobile or boat trailers.
This is the perfect location to stay while you enjoy all the beauty and activities that McCall has to offer.

Parking Off Street:
Plenty of parking. In winter recommend 4 wheel drive or chains for drive way, as there is a slight hill that can cause problems with just 2 wheel drive if it is slicked over with snow and ice. There is room to park on the street if you do not have 4 wheel or chains. This is important to heed....moreless

My family and I stayed here over the weekend and it was a great cabin with a great view. We found the cabin to be exceptionally clean and well kept with all the comforts of home. Great location which lends itself to a short walk into town to all the things McCall has to offer. Property owner was a pleasure to deal with and did a great job with communication prior to our visit. My family and I will definitely be back; hopefully for longer than 2 nights this time.

Wonderful Winter Vacation
Wonderful Winter Vacation
Our best time yet in McCall. This home is very well equipped and we could not have asked for a more comfortable place. We especially loved the heated floors. Waking up in the morning and walking in the bathroom with warm floors was wonderful. The views from the deck were beautiful and we loved watching the deer walk by and an occasional airplane come in for a landing. The location was great as I walked to town each morning and we discovered the Evening Rise Bakery just a block away who makes awesome sandwiches and breads. The owner was very accommodating and helpful to any questions or needs we had. We can't wait to come back.

Great house! The house was spotless, and all worked well. We all enjoyed the beautiful decor and comfort of the house. We liked walking on the bike trail and the easy access to the lake and downtown. Would definitely love to stay again! Thanks for sharing your home!

About the owner: I built this house myself along with a good friend that is a carpenter in 2007. It is my dream house and location. I am a retired engineer from the US Merchant Marines and have lived around our beautiful country in Texas, New Hampshire, Maryland, California and Washington, but Idaho is the best. My adventures are not finished as I am now living up in Alaska for a few years and working some on the North Slope and fishing. I miss my home while in Alaska, but decided to share it on VRBO.
Why the Owner Chose McCall:
I chose McCall, because the wonderful feel of the Mountain Air. The smell of the pines in the summer and the deep snow for skiing in the winter. My location in McCall is GREAT because of the walking distance to all that is happening in the downtown area. I have the bike/walking trail to town just across the field. I am also walking distance to the airport, which is important to me.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I love my home because of the wonderful mountain views and great central location to town, but the best magic in McCall are the people that live here.
