Beautifully furnished and decorated apartment located in the circa 1880, Mattie Rousser House. This historic home was divided into three lovely apartments during the depression era. Enjoy the one bedroom suite comfortably furnished with queen bed, down pillows, high thread count hotel sheets, and ample closet space. Additional sheets and blankets are in the closet. You will find a nicely appointed bathroom with a pocket door between the full shower/bath and the toilet/vanity powder room. Hair dryer, shampoo, hair conditioner and towels are provided. The living area is a great place to relax with a very comfortable couch, flat screen TV with streaming and internet. The eat in kitchen is adjacent with a antique drop leaf table, full appliances, dishes, silverware, and spices. It is ready to make a meal or take a 90 second or so walk to several eateries . Relax on the shaded patio or take a leisurely stroll to enjoy the many quaint shops on the square. A Keurig K-cup coffeemaker with stocked options awaits you when you wake, or stumble a few hundred feet to the Galaxy Bakery & Coffee House (Rated #4 nationally on the Learning Channel’s Bodacious Bakery segment.) Or a little over 2 blocks will get you to the Monument Café where Mathew McConaughey (his mom lives here) invited his good friend Guy Fieri,( host of The Food Networks “Diners-Drive Inns and Dives”) to his favorite organic based diner for some food festivities.

Georgetown apartments just off the Square

Three adults booked 2 adjoining apartments for 3 nights. We were very satisfied. All 3 of us agree we had a 5 star stay. Lovely, clean, cozy, apartments, excellent location. Owner was great and available to assist us as needed. We’d recommend this rental to any and all.

NO PARKING AVAILABLE

I lived in this property for 2 yrs prior to renting it thru VRBO. We were forced to do that because the owners/landlords would not extend our lease for one more month. There is NO PARKING for this unit. You are supposed to park on the street, but there is a bar across the street (with no parking lot) and all their patrons park on the street. Because of the bar, the only quiet evening is Mondays when it is closed. Every other night of the week it contains noisy outdoor patrons until at least midnight, if not later. These same patrons walk thru the yard of this house talking, laughing and yelling with no regard for the tenants. We were forced to call the police many times. The landlords/owners do not respect your privacy. We suspected they entered the unit without our knowledge and confirmed it with our security camera. Last item - occasionally there is a strange smell that comes from the landlords/owners unit or when one of them is sitting outside in the middle of the night. Not sure what the smell is, but it's bad.

Tom and Debbie: We started our married life here in Georgetown in 2006. Tom has lived and worked in Georgetown for the past 20+ years. We started Green Earth Builders together in 2005 and purchased and remodel the property you will be staying in. Our first home together was an historic house on Main Street. Our second home was another historic home on Elm Street. We lovingly remodel both of these homes. We are now almost finished with our present old home on Wilbarger Point which overlooks Southwestern University and Georgetown. We have a passion for restoration and decorating. Green Earth Builders helps sponsor the annual Heritage Society Holiday Home tour. Our own and several of our client’s homes have been featured over the years.

Location! Location! Location!
The main house was built on the square and dragged by mule teams to its present location in the 1880’s. There is no closer vacation rental to the Historic County Square.
