The Yellowstone Country Cabin is ideal for two-three people. It is nestled at the base of Crystal Cross Mountain in Paradise Valley Montana. The cabin is only five minutes from the Yellowstone River for the fly fisherman, and close to wilderness land for hikers and hunters. We are 17 miles (or 20 minutes) from the North entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
Our A-framed cabin (500 square feet) has been completely renovated. It is located on a forrest service road with easy access all year around. Everything is fresh and clean. The beautiful kitchenette has a two-burner stove, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, toaster, toaster-oven, crock pot, microwave, dishes, utensils and pots and pans. You can enjoy your meals in the quiet of the outdoors or inside at the corner dining booth, with mountain views of Electric Peak seen through the window.
The sunroom has a couch/bed, TV with Satalite, DVD/VCR, videos, and some games. The bathroom has a tub/shower with towels provided. The loft bedroom has 1 King Bed with linens and one large dresser. (Upon request, the King bed can be separated to 2 twin beds.)
Outside you will find a secluded area to grill your catch-of-the-day or warm up by the bonfire, and soak in all the splendid, towering mountain views. Susan, You are a pretty amazing hostess-arranging for a peaceful light snow on Christmas Eve; after we had arrived and were off the roads, and then ensuring that Christmas Day would be sunny and mild when we went X-C skiing at the B-Bar Ranch just up the road from "our" wonderful little cabin. Thanks for thoughtfully supplying the little Santa and Christmas Tree decorations. All the kitchenware needed was available for the holiday meals we had brought with us and our Christmas CD's played beautifully on the DVD player in your cabin. It was all wonderful. We are so pleased we happened to find you. It was truly memorable Christmas. Thank you!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Susan, We finally had a star filled night and could not have been in a better place. The windows provided superb views of the sky. This distinctly authentic little cabin has obviously been a labor of love. I tend to push my wife a little too far on the miles of Yellowstone hiking. Near the end of the day her grumpiness becomes apparent. Thankfully your cabin was the perfect cure. Now we shall return to the land of catfish and red dirt but will always remember the grand views provided by this little cabin. Dear Susan, Don't listen to my husband, I did not get grumpy. We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely cabin. I loved the big, cozy blanket in the loft, waking up to the amazing views and roasting marshmellows under the stars. We are sad that our vacation has come to an end and that we have to leave this beautiful place. Than you for sharing your cabin with us. It was everything we hoped for and more.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Susan, Thanks for another fabulous visit to your cabin. It was just as warm and inviting as our first visit. We got to see wolves again and actually got photos this time. As always, our trips go too fast and we are missing this beautiful area even before we leave in the morning. Your special touches to the cabin and all the great blankets are wonderful! We also enjoyed the mule deer who visited us everyday out front. We hope to visit here again soon. Many thanks.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dear Susan & Comfy Cabin: Well, I squealed with glee when we entered the cabin. It's like something from my daydreams! And the views, oh wow - knock-your-socks-off, views that give perspective. This is the coolest, most unique, most relaxing place we've ever stayed! We absolutely loved it. Thank you for providing this place. We've watching the sun rise through the mountains now - what a miracle. I think we forget about the little miracles every day - we were reminded here. Wishing you and all peace, contentment and a place to feel at home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Susan We couldn't have found a better place or better price for our cabin get away. Thank you so much for all the little touches you have put into this place; from lots of extra fuzzy blankets, to stainless steel cookware, a cooler for our Yellowstone Park picnic and towels for the boiling river. We are so happy to have stumbled on our sweet place. We are already trying to think when we can come back. Thanks for letting us stay a little extra later on Sunday and for being such a warm, gracious host.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Susan, We had a wonderful stay at your little cabin. It was perfect for a couple of honeymooners like us. I can't think of anything the cabin didn't have that we needed. The cabin was a wonderful "home base" for exploring Yellowstone and only a short jaunt from the Park boundry. We highly recommend taking the Old Yellowstone Trail road into the park for your first trip. Thanks for everythingDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Susan, What a treasure your cabin is in this serene setting. The space is so compact and functional with still room for a tub and a king size bed. It was our first visit to Montana and Yellowstone. Thanks for all the literature and brochures on the area. Only wish we could have stayed longer.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you for arranging that little forest fire for our first night here. It was exciting to watch the helicopters making bucket drops! Your cabin reminded us of a little bird house, and we smiled every evening when we came up the hill and around the corner. Side note: fire was put out within hours.Did you find this review helpful? The Perfect Western Mountain Cabin

We were as delighted as too senior citizen, New Yorkers could be! While we do live in a very small town, we had an image in our minds of the perfect western mountain cabin, and here it is. Yellowstone is, of course, the big draw, but even if there had been no canyon, no geysers, and lake, we would have been well satisfied to just stay here. Thank you.Did you find this review helpful?
