About Vicky Holland

Mom and I near the Rio Verde River outside of Fountain Hills, AZ. I got my spirit of adventure from her. She will tell you that I was "Made in Germany" as she and my father were on an army base there in 1955. They loved Germany, Austria and Italy and I grew up watching slides of their adventures there.

I have since gone to Europe on my own, Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada. Love all those places and meeting the people that live there.

Vicky Holland purchased this cabin in 2005

Amazing trip

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time staying at this cabin. We came up during a storm which turned a 7 hour drive into a 11 hour drive but it was worth it. Vicky had the place warm and cozy when we arrived and she was very helpful. Beautiful cabin and beautiful location. We couldn't be more happy with our stay. Thank you Vicky.

Wonderful stay with my dogs

  • 5 of 5

Vickie and Gary provide a first class experience. As a return traveler to the area it was wonderful to get re acquainted with the Paradise Valley experience. The cabin was perfect and watching the sun set on the snow capped mountain from the porch was beautiful. I called my picture Fire on the Mountain. The Deer were daily visitors but it was a bit early this year for the Elk. All the old haunts have been improved Chico Hot Springs, The Old Saloon, the Emigrant general store, Pine Creek and Angler's West all were helpful. Our days in the park were outstanding and Gary was very helpful in showing the art work at the Gallery in Pray. The dogs were beside themselves, swimming daily in the Yellowstone, Holy Cow better than a bison bone! They didn't talk to me all the way back to Texas. We will be returning next year.

Quiet retreat

  • 5 of 5

I spent a wonderful week at Vicky's Elk Ridge cabin, Sept 1 through Sept 8, 2016. Everything was exactly as advertised on-line. It was the perfect location for visiting the valley, as I was not planning to drive every day. I explored nearby hikes and mountain biking on dirt roads. Anyone considering this lovely cabin will not be disappointed. Thanks for the yummy cobbler Vicky and sharing your sweet cabin.

A wonderful cabin with beautiful views - a terrific time

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was fantastic. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for - quiet, mountain views, close to the areas attractions but not so close that you are on top of other vacationers. Between Yellowstone, horseback riding , rafting and other activities our kids had a blast and it was nice to return to the peaceful surroundings of the cabin. A morning cup of coffee on the front porch listening to the birds was a great way to start each day and the breeze thru the windows looking at the mountains was a fantastic way to sleep. I would recommend this cabin for a couples getaway or a family adventure. Amenities in the cabin were great and the owner's readiness to help with any needs were terrific. We highly recommend this cabin. You won't be disappointed.

A delightful cabin with wonderful views.

  • 5 of 5

Spent a week here and wished it could have been longer. This cabin is about 30 minutes or so from Gardiner Mt at the entrance to Yellowstone. It's a lovely drive there so don't think you are too far from the park's entrance. The cabin was terrific, with everything one could need for a great family get away. If you have kids, there was nearby Chico Hot Springs resort and for a few bucks they can swim in a pool heated by natural hot springs. We enjoyed nearby horsebacking riding, white water rafting and many other fun activities near and in Yellowstone. Mornings at the cabin with the view, coffee could not be beat. This place was a gem.
