Beautiful Riverfront Property

  • 5 of 5

As others have said, pictures don't do this property justice. It's hard to capture the feeling the mountains, pond, river, and open space give. Tom and Jyoti are very hospitable people who really try to make your stay better. There are two cabins on the property in addition to the main house. They each offer their own privacy with great views and are separated a good distance from each other.

We were there during spring run off and had been advised by guides at the fly shops that the river isn't worth fishing. Tom and Jyoti's son gave us some great advice on fishing the river, however, which we took up. He told us to give it a try and we were able to catch some trout, which was very fun and made our trip. It isn't the easiest to get down to the river to fish, so we just had to make sure we were properly dressed to avoid burs or getting bug bites, which is very normal preparation for fishing a river. Would just be all the better if it were cleared.

The only other thing I would note to prepare someone for their stay is that the mini fridge has a very small freezer. We picked up a separate mini freezer for added convenience as having freezer space is important to us. It wasn't ideal, but we would have been getting bags of ice constantly without it. There is also a large cooler there that we were grateful for on our park days.

Everything else in the cabin is lovely! The front porch was our absolute favorite thing. We look forward to hopefully making it back to the cabins one day!

Thank you for sharing your space, Tom and Jyoti!

Wild Rose Review

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location for us; great fishing right outside the door; awesome views; central location for trips of interest (Yellowstone Park, Mill Creek, etc); Comfortable lodging/facilities. Jyoti did everything to make our stay comfortable and gave us everything we asked for and was very helpful. Sure hope to return.

Nice in Paradise!!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in both cabins at the Wild Rose and enjoyed our stay very much. Both cabins are very comfortable and offer beautiful views of the Yellowstone River and surrounding Paradise Valley. They are convenient to Yellowstone National Park and just a short jaunt to Chico Hot Springs for a nice soak and dinner in the lodge dining room.

Not what we expected

  • 3 of 5

The location is beautiful! The description on HomeAway is misleading. I take some responsibility, I should have read the overview more carefully. When you look at Kitchen Information it says "Large kitchen with all the amenities". The amenities have oven and refrigerator listed. There is no oven and only a tiny mini fridge. This location is a drive so we expected to be able to cook breakfast and dinner each evening. It also list Bedroom 1: 1 Queen

Bedroom 2: 2 Queen

There is a one Queen bed in each room.

The shower is so TINY.

The last issue was that on the day of check out, the one morning we didn't have to be up early, I got a text at 6:04am asking me when we will be leaving so the owner could let the cleaning personal know. I am sorry you don't text someone that early on their vacation. We didn't get the warm welcome that others had experienced.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I would like to address some of the comments. After double checking our listing description, I do not see where it says "large kitchen with all the amenities". It does say that the kitchen has a mini fridge, a 2 stove burner, and a toaster oven. We also have an outdoor grill. Thank you for pointing out that it says bedroom 2 has 2 beds. That was an error that was overlooked, and has been corrected. The cabin does sleep 6, since there is a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The text sent was so you could read at your leisure without disturbing you. We regret that you feel you did not receive the warm welcome. A text was sent on the day of arrival asking when we can expect you. After your arrival, a text communication was sent stating that I was on the property and to let me know if you needed anything. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. As our was of attempting to make thing right, we have refunded one nights stay. Please let us know if there is anything we could have done to make you feel more welcomed. We do hope that you enjoyed your visit to Paradise Valley and Yellowstone Park. Best wishes and safe travels!
