Welcome to the Loft on Water St! Truly in the 'Heart' of Historic Downtown Wilmington, NC. The Loft offers you the chance to vacation and to experience all that Historic Wilmington has to offer. The unit is located near the intersection of Water and Orange St.
Steps away from Elijah's, The George, Art Galleries, Boutiques and Chandler's Wharf. The unit is a gated complex with many options to park nearby. The unit is about 15 minutes from Wrightsville Beach and is very close to Carolina and Kure Beaches.
In Downtown Wilmington there are many things to do: sight seeing, museums, ferry rides, film studio tours, fine dining and plenty of night life. Enjoy your day at the beach, come back and refresh so you can walk throughout Downtown Wilmington.
You cannot get a better location than the Loft on Water Street! We have stocked the unit for the business traveler or just to relax. We also include a wireless router, so bring your computer. The Loft is furnished with high quality bath towels and basic soaps. There are also 'His' and 'Her' robes to use during your stay. We provide fine bed linens along with extra pillows and high quality coverlet's to use for your convenience.
If you would like to go to the Beach, we provide 2 large beach towels, 2 beach chairs, and a cooler bag.
Should it rain, there are also two umbrellas provided so you can still enjoy your time in Wilmington.
If we do not have anything that you would want, let us know and we will consider adding it to the LOFT!

Why the Owner Chose Wilmington
We felt this unit was one of the best locations located in Historic Downtown being on the river and having the ability to walk to everything! There is always something going on. I love walking the Farmers Market and it goes on almost year round. We take very good care of our unit and have been very lucky to have had such great renters. We make sure to keep the unit comfortable for people when they rent with us by putting higher end linens, towels and tasteful furnishings. We wanted it to be a place we could enjoy and for others that stay with us too. We love to get feedback on the unit and always hope that everyone enjoys their stay with us!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Location, location, location! You step outside your door and you are in the middle of it all: the board walk, cafe's, restaurants, art galleries, local history and relaxation. We love getting up early, grabbing a cup of coffee from the Cape Fear Bakery, that is in Chandler's Wharf, and walking up and down the boardwalk. Thinking about it again, it's hard to beat watching the sunset over the river and eating at Elijah's too!

My husband and I would often take long weekends visiting the beach during the day and go into Historic Downtown Wilmington for the evening. We love the charm Downtown has to offer and all the fantastic places to eat. When we found this unit, we knew it was perfect for us and also decided to rent it out and use it for us and our family.

My husband & I recently stayed here for a long weekend for our son's college graduation and we were looking for a quaint little get away for ourselves in the process. This loft was perfect! Location was fabulous- right across the street from the beautiful Riverwalk on the Cape Fear river. This is walking distance to cafes, gift shops and night life - or simply enjoy the quaintness of being in the lovely historic downtown Wilmington! Thanks- perfect fit for us;

Great condo for a couple wanting a getaway, all the bases are covered here. Clean and well appointed. We were able to enjoy downtown, and the New Year festivities with ease. The owner's were perfect with communication before arrival. Getting in and out was a breeze. I travel into Wilmington often, I am going to make this my new choice for accommodations, so much better than staying in a hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently and had an excellent experience. The loft is close to all the downtown restaurants and bars, no more than 4 blocks from everything. A drive to the beach was only 15 minutes. The loft was beautiful and very clean! I would recommend for any couple coming to the Wilmington area that wants to be within walking distance of the downtown Riverfront area as well as bars and restaurants!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and truly enjoyed it. The location is wonderful if you want to take advantage of Wilmington's nightlife without a car. If you have a car, the beach, suburbia, and other sightseeing adventures await. They limit guest number to 2 for a good reason! I would not suggest people who do not want to be close to one another stay here; you will be CLOSE! It was "perfect for a couple". It was an incredibly easy 10 minute drive from the airport. We did rent a car and arrived on a Saturday night. Parking was difficult, but not impossible. I strongly suggest you bring your quarters for the meters!
Owner response:Thank you for the feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. In addition to meter parking, there are lots on Water St. that are $5/day. Meters are free after 6:30pm till 9am and free all day on Sunday.

Highly recommend this loft. The location is fantastic. Many, many restaurants within walking distance. Ate at the Little Dipper (fondue), Riverboat Landing (outdoor terrace for 2 overlooking the river) and Boca Bay (almost to Wrightsville Beach). All were excellent. The wine bar across the street was perfect for late evening dessert and wine. The drive to Kure Beach was about 30 min, but worth it as we found free parking easily and the beaches were not too crowded. The chairs, towels, cooler and beach umbrella came in very handy. Plenty of grocery stores on the drive out to stop for beach items. The loft itself is cozy, clean and very comfortable.

I loved coming back to stay for another week at the loft. I wouldn't change a thing about this cozy place. It's a completely comfortable and relaxing place to stay, and it's within walking distance of all kinds of shops, restaurants, historic/scenic areas. It's a short drive to beaches (Kure Beach was most convenient for parking and accessibility), Greenfield Park, NC Aquarium, and other fun places to explore. I'll definitely be back again!

Our stay in the loft was absolutely perfect. The location was quiet and peaceful. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. You must check out the Barista Cafe; a three minute walk to the best breakfast downtown. Everything was very clean. Towels were plentiful, sheets were soft. There is a washer and dryer AND laundry detergent if needed. The kitchen had all of the essentials and was used for breakfast every day. The beach cooler and beach towels came in handy too. The owner is very easy to work with and was very quick to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this Loft to anyone looking for a great weekend, week or even weeks in downtown Wilmington!

My husband and I had a great Easter weekend stay at the Loft . . . perfect location - walk out the door and you're in the midst of all the fabulous restaurants and shops of the Riverfront and historic Wilmington. The loft was spotless and well appointed with nice linens and robes as well as beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler. Even though this is a studio, it has a very spacious bathroom and a nice den area. Would highly recommend the Loft . . . why would anyone choose to stay in a hotel with a unit like this available?????

My boyfriend and I stayed in the condo in mid October and had a great time. The weather couldve been better, but that's why the Loft was so great. On nights that it rained or we didn't feel like getting out, we cooked dinner and had a nice time just relaxing in the condo. It was very cozy and comfortable and having it fully stocked made cooking quite convenient. Also the location was great. Walking out, the river was right across the street as well as walking right into the historical downtown area (which we did everyday). I couldn't recommend a better place for two people to rent for a weeks vacation. Not to mention the beach is maybe ten minutes away and we did use the provided beach chairs. Thanks!
