The House:
A lovely ranch; three bedrooms with a full-size bed in each room, one inside bathroom, outside shower, kitchen, great room with fireplace, washer and dryer, patio with a patio dining set and a picnic table under the tree, and gas grill. The yard is big and has plenty of parking. The house is a 750-foot walk to Crescent Beach and McCook's town beach, which also has a park and playground.
The house is fully furnished, so just bring your towels, linens, and paper products. We have linens if you need them. If you have beach chairs, beach blankets, and beach toys, bring them also. Do not forget the sun block!!! Do not worry if you forget any of these because there are plenty of places to buy these in town. If you have bicycles, bring those too!!! The area is great for bicycling.
The Beach:
Crescent beach is a lovely sandy beach in Niantic Bay, Niantic. The snack bar is open early in the morning for breakfast until five at night. The food is great and not expensive! The snack bar also has a bathroom, which is open during snack bar hours.
If you have children, they can wear approved life vests. Flotation devices are not allowed at the beach, but may be used after lifeguard hours, or on the other side of the jetty. The beach is roped and has a raft.
The Town:
From the house you can walk into town, which has everything you need from grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream bars, a coffee shop, antique shops, gift shops, post office, drug stores, health food store, donut and bakery shop, clothing store, flower shop, and card shop.
