Elegant and Luxurious Villa on Gros Piton with a spectacular views of Caribbean

Maison des 'Etoiles is an architectural masterpiece sitting on the northern face of the Gros Piton, a World Heritage Site, and is the highest Villa. The three-sided home is built of Greenheart wood native to the rain forest and volcanic rock which bubbled to the surface millions of years ago. If you love to go natural, this is the vacation home of your dreams. The home is artistically decorated with carvings from local artists which blend into the rich deep wood grains of the Greenheart. This is a truly unique home which you will only experience once in a lifetime.

The expansive view from the villa's multiple decks unveil one of the world's famous World Heritage Sites, consisting of the heavenly blue Caribbean Sea, the cliff of the Gros Piton and the majestic Petit Piton. The two Piton Mountains are the symbols for St. Lucia and Maison des 'Etoiles is enveloped in this spectacularly beautiful mountainous setting. A true Nature Lovers Paradise!

The home has an expansive living room with a volcanic waterfall as its central theme, one master bedroom with its own sitting deck and full bathroom, and two guest rooms which share a second bathroom. The second bedroom also has its own sitting area and spectacular view. All bedrooms enjoy a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea and Sky. A full-sized dining room seats eight as candlelight flickers in the light ocean breeze. The bathrooms are a combination of volcanic rock and natural wood. Enjoy a sizzling hot shower while hearing the birds singing outside. There is a third-story tower which can be used as a sitting area or sleeping area. At night reach out and touch the personal star you are making a wish on.

Newly remodeled Kitchen is a chief's dream. Our guest consistently rave about Mary's cooking for them. Come and enjoy a relaxing vacation with wonder local food being cooked for you if you are interested.

Amazing stay at Maison des Etoiles

Our family of 5 stayed at Maison des Etoiles for 2 nights (kids age 3, 5, 8). The house is amazing! The views, the open air, the staff - so peaceful and relaxing, truly special. My favorite part was the master bedroom and waking up looking out to the Petit Piton - so magical. Only caveat for little kids: you do need to keep a close eye on them as building codes in St Lucia are not as strict. Mary was wonderfully welcoming and cooked a tasty meal for us on arrival day. Pious was so helpful and drove us around on our day out. We hope to be back soon!

Absolutely stunning

As multiple others have stated, while the listing pictures are beautiful, the actual property & views are better - simply spectacular!The owner answered all of our (many) questions quickly & was great to work with.Selecting the option of a house car driver during our stay was the best decision we made. The roads in the area are challenging at best; Pius (the driver) navigated them with skill & ease. He was incredibly polite, unbelievably prompt, & had great restaurant suggestions as well.While we did not utilize Mary (housekeeper) for any cooking, she too was incredibly polite & kept the property spotless.Simply an amazing place to stay - highly recommend!

Amazing stay

The villa is perfectly situated on the side of Gros Piton with a beautiful view of the ocean and Petite Piton. Mary prepared a wonderful welcome dinner and Pius was available to help us with any needs around the property. On clear nights the view of the stars from the tower deck is breathtaking. I would recommend this home to any and everyone looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat in Saint Lucia!

My family's favorite house ever

We loved the house! I don't have much to add that isn't already covered in other reviews. The house is truly a work of art and as much as my family enjoyed exploring Saint Lucia, we all agreed that the house was the highlight of our trip. Amazing house. Had a very relaxing time here and enjoyed Pius' company and recommendations. Mary made us a great meal the first night and was lovely! We'll never forget it!

Great spot! Amazing views, the open air home felt very close to nature. Our friend did get a lot of bites, but she said totally worth it! Seeing a rainbow over the Pitons as you wake up in your king bed is quite the experience! Check in was great and Mary and the staff were very helpful and polite. Highly recommend booking this paradise of a spot

One of a kind view/house

The house has an incredible view. Features an open house concept which was both unique and enjoyable. Bedrooms had fantastic views. Pool was nice. Good kitchen to cook, the grill is propane and no longer requires charcoal so while we purchased some as the description stated to, it was not necessary, I wish that was updated. Home caretakers were friendly.

Best vacation ever!!

The villa is absolutely magical. The views are incredible. And Mary and Pius are exceptional. Mary’s cooking was the best! Any time we had any questions, Pius was always there to help. The sounds of breeze at night made for some of the best sleep I’ve had in years. St.Lucia is filled with so much beauty and rich with so much history. I really can’t say it enough, best vacation ever!!!

Stunning and Unique

From the first correspondence with David to the experience at the property with Pius and Mary was a pleasure. Amazing views and lots to see on the island. Only negative was the 6 days of rain but it is a rain forest after all and did not keep us from doing any of our planned activities……

One of a kind

My girlfriends and I spent 13 delightful days and nights in this remarkable home. Every morning we would wake to spectacular views and every night we go up to the tower to take in the stars. Mary and Pius who caretaker the house were welcoming and kind. I thoroughly recommend it.

That View!!!

Wow! Pulling up to this incredible home with incredible views was a beyond my expectations! I’m a beach girl and waking up to these views may have changed my mind a bit. Mary and Pious were so sweet and willing to answer questions we had. Easy access to the Gros Piton which is a bucket list hike accomplished. Enjoyed our stay !

Dream vacation on St. Lucia, the most beautiful place on the whole island!

It was a really wonderful holiday! The house and the surrounding area are simply unique and the view is an absolute dream. Marry and Pius are super nice and take good care of the house and the property and if there are any questions or small problems the two were immediately on hand and very helpful. For us four it was an unforgettable and beautiful holiday and if we have the opportunity again, we will be back any time. Many thanks to David and Patricia for this unforgettable stay in this amazing villa in this incredible environment. we already miss it ☺️ and thanks again to Marry and Pius who took care of us so well!

Relaxing and beautiful!

The villa was perfect for our family as we love nature and peaceful, quiet vacations. Mary and Pius were an awesome team and helped us when we needed it while giving us privacy. Mary's cooking is excellent and we recommend taking advantage of the welcome dinner on the first night. Sleeping in open air was extremely relaxing and the sounds of the frogs at night and birds, goats, and roosters in the morning were an unexpected and welcome experience. The property is remote so if you rent a car, take note that driving on the winding, narrow roads will be an adventure. We would love to come back some day!

Amazing tropical retreat!

We booked our Christmas vacation and picked Maison des' Etoiles... the pictures are accurate and it is amazing! The temps were great and the open-air vibe of the house worked well. It was a bit stressful getting there from the airport in our rental car, but after a few days, we acclimated to the driving challenges in St. Lucia and found our way around just fine... unlike the US, frequently honking your horn is a friendly way of saying "hi there" in St. Lucia! Bring a good book and relax with all those amazing views! Thanks to Mary and Pius for taking good care of us!

Living outside, differed maintenance

We stayed at Maison des Etoiles for two weeks the end of January 2025. Reviewing this facility has been challenging because while it is a spectacular place in a picturesque setting, it is more open to the elements than we were accustomed and, sadly, suffers from differed maintenance.When we first arrived, the design of the house was awe inspiring. Built with its high back to the prevailing winds and with shutters that can be propped open for ventilation as desired, the open interior of the house, with its multiple levels, varnished surfaces and mast-like support poles, seemed like being on board a large sailing ship. The view from the house toward Petit Piton and the blue-green bay below is spectacular. Sailing vessels were ever present in the distance. During the day, a light rain would send rainbows arcing across the sky. The pastel hues at sunset were quite photogenic, especially from the observation porch perched well atop the main living areas.Mary, the housekeeper, and Pius, her son, were delightful and quick to do whatever we asked. They seemed ever present, yet careful not to intrude. Mary fixed us a delicious Carribean dinner the night we arrived. One evening the internet went out and Pius had it fixed as soon as we mentioned it the next morning. He offered to drive us wherever we would like, but we had rented a car. Stunning view

My husband and I booked this house to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted seclusion and relaxation and this house did not disappoint. This house is absolutely stunning. The views from different vantage points in the home all offer different scenery. The open layout was amazing. Bugs were not bad, only some harmless lizards hanging around. The temperature was not bad either, ceiling fan above the bed made sleep very comfortable. The pool was great and refreshing. Mary and Pius were very helpful when we needed them but also respected our privacy which was appreciated. We played reggae on the speakers located throughout the house for a beautiful island experience. We would love to return in the future.

Magical villa on Gros Piton

The villa and location are gorgeous! Everything I wanted to do was within 25 min driving distance. Mary and Pius made our trip special and stress free. Pius alone, makes it worth renting the villa! He drove us, made dinner reservations, scheduled a massage therapist, got a birthday cake, cleaned our car...nothing was too much to ask! He did things without us asking and made it look easy. Mary is the heart of the house and we enjoyed her cooking several nights. She also did laundry, changed sheets and towels and did our dishes. We greatly appreciated them both and are lucky we got to meet them! They made our trip easy. The villa is sprinkled with lizards and a bit of magic! We didn't have any issues with bugs. Don't hesitate and rent this place! The view is one for the books! It would be difficult if you don't enjoy nature or if you have mobility issues, there's a lot of stairs. We loved our stay!

Back to nature

We enjoyed our time at this house. The view is amazing. We loved being away from the crowds at resorts and really appreciated the alone time. I recommend hiring Pius to drive you around. The house is hard to find and the roads are tricky. Mary is a great cook and makes the house welcoming. The pool was a huge benefit and I think we used it every day. We went diving 2 days and used Chester at Action Adventure diving. Chester was recommended in other reviews and made the dives perfect. Dive the wreck if you can. It rained almost every day very hard but only last a short time and then it’s sunny again. There was a nice breeze so it was never too hot. We are from Florida so we are used to the heat. It’s an open air concept so don’t book if you are afraid of a few lizards. We were never bothered by bugs though. If I had to find a negative it would be the bed in the primary was a bit hard and uncomfortable. This was by far the most memorable vacation and I’m glad we choose this house!

One of a kind - wonderful stay

Echoing much of the themes of previous reviews: wondeful, architecturally intriguing house, Mary and Pion are great, walked down to the Gross Piton trail, as well as to a beach. Had a wondeful time, and would not hesitate to book again! But a couple notes that weren't negatives for us, more like tradeoffs to keep in mind: - open air is great, but middle bedroom doesn't have as consistent airflow as other main bedroom, and is subject a little more to humidity. Half our nights were great - half were less so, had to move a fan from unused bedroom and/or sleep a little in the downstairs room w A/C to cool down before going up to bed. - will be a 15-20 min drive away from groceries / restaurants, and most any activity. Island is very geared toward serving guests at resorts, day-trips from cruise ships etc. so things like roadside stands, local gathering spots etc for independant travelers were not common here, so we're at house more than what we planned - which is not a bad thing! Like I said everything at the house was as-shown/-promised, if not better! If the house interests you, and can handle moderately bumpy roads with British-based driving, do it!

We took our boat from Ohio all the way down to St Lucia. We love adventure. When we arrived in St Lucia we anchored at Sugar Beach and saw the Villa from a distant. We have sailed around the world. Our Villa is in the hands of our staff who have been at the property since it was built. When you rent the Villa you are renting it from us not a management company who may have no personal interest in your stay.

Calm, peaceful and constant exotic scenery. Near the beach and has a wonderful hike up the Gros Piton in it's backyard. Also close to shopping and great places to visit. Enjoy the pool and relaxed atmosphere of the surrounding area.
