Perfect for anyone planning to stay in Toronto, whether for business or pleasure. This 1925 home in Davisville Village/ Leaside has recently been beautifully furnished and decorated with the traveler in mind.
The neighbourhood is in mid-town, and has always been popular with singles, couples and families. 'Davisville Village/Leaside' is known for its excellent recreational facilities, outstanding shopping districts, and active nightlife.
Leaside's main shopping district is on Mount Pleasant Road. This stretch of stores is highlighted by a large group of antique and collectable shops that attract people from all over the city. Home decorating stores, children's clothing and toy stores, and an excellent selection of restaurants all add to the ambience of this street. A pharmacy and grocery store are within walking distance.
Leaside residents also shop on Yonge Street and Bayview Avenue. These two streets contain a plethora of gift shops, clothing and accessory stores, bakeries, specialty food shops, restaurants, and cafes.
This area also offers motorists quick access to downtown Toronto via either Bayview Avenue or Yonge Street. Toronto's highways and expressways are located within a short drive of Leaside Village.
One is close enough to the heart of the city without the hustle-bustle and city noise.
This two storey house has a charming, private back garden with flagstone patio and lush perennial growth. Here you can relax in the spring and summer planning your next day’s adventure. Or sip an after dinner latte from the local café while lounging on the large front porch under the shade of the tree and watch the neighbourhood in action.
There are two private parking spots in the back.
The living room is tastefully furnished with a comfortable, large leather couch, coordinating chairs, and nesting tables. There is a slim, flat screen LCD with cable television and DVD player for your use. The expandable dark wood dining room table can seat eight and has a matching buffet; perfect for entertaining. Floors are elegant, dark hardwood. A safety gate has been installed to prevent young children from accessing the front basement stairs. Built in pot-lighting and chandelier light up the main floor in the evening.
The kitchen is large, with a small eat-in area. It is bright and fully stocked with a microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, flat-topped stove, toaster, coffee maker, and electric kettle. All kitchenware is supplied including cookware, cutlery, dishes, glasses, dish towels, and placemats.
There is a convenient two-piece bathroom leading from the kitchen area.
Off the kitchen, facing the patio, is the sunroom. It is furnished with a futon couch, plush floor cushions, and an AM/FM radio/CD player with separate speakers and a subwoofer. This is a nice bright room for relaxing. There are large windows, and sliding patio door. The two skylights add extra light. The futon opens to provide a comfortable double bed for extra sleeping space.
The upper level features three bedrooms and the main, four piece bathroom. The stairs, upper hallway and bedrooms have been newly carpeted for warmth and comfort. Each room is painted a different colour, and is warmly decorated for your enjoyment. The entire upstairs has excellent lighting. A night light is also provided.
The master bedroom provides a very comfortable, supportive queen-size bed. There is a built in closet with full length mirrors, dresser, and night table with clock radio and telephone. Extra bin space is available under the bed for belongings. There is a television on the dresser.
The second room provides an exceptionally comfortable twin bed with built-in drawers, dresser, full-length mirror, and built-in closet. NOTE: There is one bed in this room.
The third room has a queen sized Murphy (wall) bed. There is a dresser, and plenty of wall hooks for hanging things.
I have comfortable futon mattresses to increase sleeping space.
The newly renovated basement is a comfortable sitting/play area with a desk as well as sleeping for three. The washer, dryer, iron and board are located here.
The bathroom has bath, shower, shower caddy, shelf, and drawer space for your toiletries.
A portable crib is available. It includes a change table attachment and bassinet options. It also doubles as a playpen. A fully adjustable high chair as well as a booster seat are available as well.
There are plenty of fresh bed and bath linens plus extra blankets, and pillows. Kitchen portable and master bedroom phones are available for local calls.
The central heating and air conditioning units work well and can be easily adjusted for your comfort.
I am certain that your accommodation here will contribute to making your time in Toronto a wonderful and memorable experience.

My wife and I rented this house for a week while in Toronto for our son's wedding and found it THE best way to go. It could not have worked better! We had plenty of room. There are many places in the house for privacy, even with 8 of us in the house (a few of us doubled-up) The location is perfect too. Restaurants and coffee shops are a very short walk away, as is the grocery store (Sobeys) and a collection of unique shops (e.g., the Flaky Tart, whose fresh shortbread and strawberry rhubarb pie were absolutely delicious, and the Culinarium, which features only foods from Ontario -- the fresh strawberries and the cheeses were exquisite). And the subway, just a few blocks away, gave us quick, ready access to Bloor St., downtown and elsewhere in the city. The wireless internet was very nice to have too. We briefly had a problem connecting to it, but Caroline arranged for help that solved the problem, pronto. We'd rent this house again. We recommend it unreservedly.

We have just returned to the UK after a trip to Toronto. We had a great stay at Caroline's house in Soudan Avenue. Our party consisted of an 84 yr old, myself and my husband and our teenage children. Everyone was comfortable. In particular, having wifi and a huge basement meant my children were never bored. They had laptops with them and were able to keep in touch with friends etc. The house is exceptionally well equipped, all utensils and appliances you could want. It is also very well placed with shops just on the doorstep and great transport links to downtown. The house is well insulated and very quiet. Communications were all very prompt and efficient. We spoke to Caroline on the day we arrived and she provided us with lots of local info and was always available if we needed help or information. My relatives in Toronto were very impressed with the area the house was in, it obviously is a well regarded neighbourhood. We definitely recommend the house and will return again.

Just back from 2 weeks in Toronto, stayed at this house and had a great holiday with very comfortable accommodation.House has all you need form washing machine+dryer to hair shampoo and toilet paper! We were very lucky with the weather in October so used the air-con and the heating when it was a bit cooler, both very easy to use. We are a family of 5 with kids aged 17,15 and 11 so plenty of space for all of us.We used public transport predominantly,so the sub-way was a 10 minute walk from the house then you have access all over the city. The area the house is in is very safe, houses mostly but with a small supermarket 2 minutes away on Mount Pleasant Ave,quite a few shops in the vicinity,we didn't explore as much of local area as we should have . My Canadian friends all commented on the area as being recognised a nice area to live,we quite often walked back from subway late at night and never felt our safety was compromised at all, especially when with two teenage girls. So I would definately highly recommend this holiday home. All communication with the owner was prompt and precise.

We stayed in this house for 11days with our extended family, 8 adults in all for our son,s wedding. the house is tastefully decorated. We especially loved the closeness of the shops. Even though some of the bedrooms were on the small side, we managed well. The living area is nice and roomy with a lovely big table which we had many a gathering. the outdoor area at the back of the house is great for relaxing in the sun. we recommend this house and would stay here again on another trip to Toronto.

We rented this house to attend our daughter’s wedding and decided to combine a family vacation with the special event. The house has perfect and immaculately clean. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was perfect. By day two we were transit pros taking a short bus ride to the subway station and heading downtown on a regular basis for shopping, theatre, rehearsal dinner etc. The neighborhood was perfect. We were able to get our hair done, manis & pedis all within a 5 min walk. The bakeries were amazing and the grocery store is literally just around the corner. The home is well equipped for making all meals and the dishwasher made clean up quick and easy. With our daughter making Toronto her home we hope to have the opportunity to rent this home again. I highly recommend it!

We were new to Toronto and looked to Caroline and her expertise to guide us in our stay. She was very honest and knowledgeable and all that she promised and said was true. It made our stay that much more enjoyable. The house is great.. we had 4 adults and 4 children and were very comfortable. The neighborhood is eclectic and it was all that we had hoped for.

This accommodation is located in a fantastic part of Toronto. The facilities were excellent just to the standard that you would have at home. We will definately use it next time we go to Toronto as we could not fault it at all. I would recommend this house to anyone intending to visit Toronto. Caroline was a fantastic home owner who was always available if we needed anything. The booking process and the pre visit communication with Caroline was very professional and friendly. Thanks for everything.

this house was wonderful for our party of 9 (6 adults, 3 children(14-11-4). It is very close to a grocery store and public transit. we parked our vehicles for the week! we had plenty of space and having the kitchen saved us money on going out to eat. plenty of resturants/bars in the area. plenty of towels and bedding!! would definately stay here again if we coming up to Toronto.

My husband's family stayed for 2 weeks for our wedding here in Toronto. His parents, his son, brother and sister-in-law and their 3 month old baby came over from Scotland. The house was perfect for them, it was clean, comfortable and fully equipped. We made good use of the BBQ and spent many hours on the front porch in the shade. The location could not have been better, everyone quickly learned the subway system and explored Toronto on their own. The convenience of all the shops and restaurants within walking distance was fantastic. Homeway was a great breakfast spot and we all enjoyed fish and chips on our last night at the The Olde York. I expect they will all be back and want to stay in the house again soon! Thank you Caroline for everything! Mr. and Mrs. H
