Location: Hilo, Hilo District, Big Island, Hawaii, USA (RIGHT IN LOVELY HILO TOWN, only minutes to town & beaches)
Accommodations: Vacation Rental Home, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)
Located in an exclusive area of Hilo, the RiverHouse Hide-Away is nestled in a magical river setting on a nearly-one-acre estate. A crystal-clear river meanders through the property year 'round, and is complemented by a carpet-like lawn, majestic trees and beautiful tropical plants.
The Hide-Away is a separate spacious unit on the first floor of this fine example of a 1948-vintage, traditional "plantation-style" Hilo home. Your hosts, Skip and Camille, are a retired couple who live in the upstairs house and are available for your questions. There is a completely separate entrance and patio area for your privacy. Your living room, tastefully appointed in a tropical motif, is a warm and inviting space. The kitchenette is supplied with everything you will need for fixing light meals.
Dine to the sweet sound of the gentle rapids, whether you are inside or out. You will have a lovely fireplace for a special romantic ambiance during the cool winter evenings. An entertainment center with cable TV, VCR and DVD players is there for you, with a stereo that plays tapes and CDs. Wireless and cable RoadRunner high-speed Internet services are also provided.
Enjoy your own private lanai, with a barbecue, patio furnishings and loungers, for dining out by the river or just soaking up some sun!
The bedroom features a king bed and lots of nicely-crafted built-ins. There is also a full laundry for your use.
Because of insurance liability, at this time, the Riverhouse Hide-Away is for adult guests only. The Hide-Away is a Strictly Non-Smoking Retreat.
Right in town, the RiverHouse Hide-Away is only minutes away from beautiful beach parks and everything Hilo has to offer. Theaters, UH-Hilo, Imiloa Astronomy Center, restaurants, surfing, kayak rentals, an amazing Farmer's Market, museums, guided walks, and much more, are just a few of these offers!
