I recently stayed at Moon Mountain with 18 of my friends for our girls weekend away. We were incredibly pleased and impressed with the house and the property! Moon Mountain sits up on the hill overlooking acres of beautiful winery and rolling green hills. The house has a spectacular wrap around deck that allows for amazing access to this beautiful scenery. It sits on the hill by itself which makes it feel like you are at a retreat all to yourself. Inside, the house is clean and updated with lovely and simple decor. The kitchen was very functional with updated appliances, two dishwashers and plenty of dishes, bowls, silverware, serving pieces, etc. The rooms were a comfortable size and each had its own personality. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The kitchen opens up to the dining table and living room, all which overlook the valley. We did not stay in the Sunset Suite but if you walked down the side of the house you could peak in. The room looked inviting and most impressively was how the bed looked out at a full wall of windows with views of the valley. It would be a very special room to stay in! In addition to the house and grounds being so wonderful, we were incredibly pleased with the staff that manages the property. We had an issue with one of the BBQ's while we were there and Kevin, the property manager was incredibly responsive and helpful. Rebecca, who we had been in contact when booking the place, was also very responsive and understanding of our concern. We felt that everyone really cared that we enjoyed our stay and wanted to ensure we had a positive experience. We definitely recommend Moon Mountain for a special event or weekend away! On a side note...while we were there we rented a limo from Pure Luxury. They were very affordable and easy to work with. Our driver was a ton of fun as well! We also had Mateo Granadas Catering deliver a delicious mexican meal for us. The food was excellent and great for feeding a large number of people. We would recommend both of these companies to anyone who is planning their stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay here could not have been any better. Everything was ready and waiting for us. We unloaded and immediately set about to preparing a delicious feast. The expansive kitchen, professional range, and double dishwashers made cleanup a piece of cake. Which, is a good thing because we spent our free time lounging in the front yard (Hammock!), hiking through the woods along the stream, and playing chubby bunny around the fire pit. I'm also a host on VRBO, so always look to other listings with a critical eye. Nothing to change or improve here - it was perfect.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I stayed at this property with friends for a getaway weekend from the city (San Francisco). It was a short, beautiful drive up from the city. About the property: amazingly beautiful and expansive. The house is perched on a hill overlooking miles of wine country. There is a hammock and outdoor furniture for just sitting and taking in the view. We went on a hike, and had it been a bit warmer, would have enjoyed a dip in the pool. About the house: large and spacious with amazing views throughout. There's a wraparound porch for lounging with a glass of wine, a huge kitchen with all you would need for a dinner party, and really comfortable bedrooms. It was a great stay and I'd highly recommend booking!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had our immediate family and closest friends stay all together for our wedding, and Moon Mountain was perfect. We rented the Main House and the Vineyard View Cottage, which accommodated everyone nicely. The views are spectacular, the caretakers were very helpful, and everyone loved the property. The kitchen was great for cooking for a large group. The privacy of the Sunset Suite was perfect for my husband and me. We also got great reviews on the outdoor shower with a view. Thanks so much for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We had 13 people staying at this fantastic property. We brought our own chef and he found the kitchen superb. The bedrooms were comfortable and the rooms large enough for lounging and visiting. The location was perfect for wine-tasting, and grocery stores were convenient. Of course the weather was gorgeous, so we sat on the veranda every morning. The pictures do not do it justice. The property was clean and well-maintained and it was easy to work with the listing agent. I would recommend it to anyone. We've rented properties all over the world, and this was one of the best experiences we've had.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks so much, you guys. I appreciate your positive feedback, and thanks for leaving it in such great shape!
