  • Beautiful Beach location

"This is our second vacation renting this house. We get a big group of 5-6 families and rent 3 houses that are next to each other. The location is just perfect for us - situated right on the beach, quiet morning walks along the beach, and colourful local life. Only 20 minutes from public Crash Boat beach and beautiful Step Beach. Don't forget to visit local Panederia Eileen. Try the ribs and guava pastry. We sure will be coming again."

  • Great, great, great!!!

"I'm a puertorrican living in Maryland who was looking for a place to spend quality time with my sisters, husbands, nieces and nephews, during my vacations in the Island. Our family of 12 had a great stay at Vista Azul. The house has lots of space for a big family, you won't feel cramped in this house. It was very clean and very comfortable, it has a tremendous terrace in the back that faces the beach. Wow, what a view! The house is fully equipped, kitchen has everything for cooking. The owners are a delight to work with, they met us at at the house and explain all the amenities. The house is right on the beach which gave 8 teenagers plenty of things to do . They spent endless hours playing in the water, sand and walking on the beach. The sound of the waves was my favorite part. We will return for sure. We had a wonderful time, thank you!"

  • Ready to go back

"My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary with a family trip to Puerto Rico. This lovely home was perfect for our family vacation. It was in the perfect location, very clean and provided with everything we needed for our large family of 14. We were 7 adults and 7 children (ages 5 to 72 ) It's location on a beautiful Beach very close to town but far enough away that you get that sense of being away from it all. The beach is something off a postcard - palm trees, sunsets, etc.... and you usually have it all to yourself! We spent part of each day swimming, body surfing and snorkeling. The house is bigger than we expected. Each bedroom is a decent size as are both bathrooms, but it is the yard and patio areas that provided more than enough seating for all. We cooked or BBQed every day and all you will need is right there for you. The fenced in yard is perfect for small children and you could walk out of the yard and onto the beach. There is and outside bathroom and shower perfect for cleaning up after a swim. We loved the house! The owner Nanda is friendly and helpful, and she made the rental process convenient and efficient. Her repersentative Yevette in Aguada was available at any time to answer questions and welcome us. The resident cat, Nickolai is no trouble and he watches over the property and you are his welcome guests. You are in luck if stay in this appealing and restful home"

  • Nice place to stay

"Really nice home in a good location. We were not familiar with the island but wanted to stay a few days away from San Juan, I randomly selected this place and took a chance. We loved the location which is walking distance from what appeared to be the main street in Aguada which had several restaurants to choose from. We did not make use of the beach because when we were around it seemed to be high tide, however just a few blocks away we were able to find the public beach access which had plenty of sand to lay out on. The apartment was clean and spacious. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets if needed. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!"

Aguada Travel Tips

Puerto Rican Adventures from Aguada Vacation Rentals

Aguada is located in the Costal Valley of the western region of Puerto Rico and is the home to VRBO.com's many wonderful Aguada vacation rentals. It is just 5 minutes from Aguadilla and 20 minutes from Mayagüez. This area borders the Atlantic Ocean and is home to many rivers including Culebrinas, Cañas, Madre Vieja, Grande, Guayabo, Culebra, and Ingenio.

This Aguada travel destination is rich in history—it is believed that Christopher Columbus landed in Aguada when, in November 1492, he discovered Puerto Rico. Cristóbal de Sotomayor received control of the area in 1510 from Ponce de León. Subsequently this town became a stopping point along the shipping lanes from Spain to South America.

From your choice of Puerto Rico resorts, you'll love the vacation accommodations that are an alternative to hotel stays—all have great amenities and are a budget-conscious alternative. These accommodations include features such as multiple bedrooms and kitchens that are fully equipped for added convenience. You can also enjoy amenities such as private pools, hot tubs, patios, and yards.

Visit All the Places of Interest in Aguada

During your Aguada travel, make sure to visit some of these places of interest including the Coloso sugar cane refinery and the Aguada Museum, which is housed in a former railroad station building. You and your group should also visit Pico de Piedra Beach for a day in the sun. And check out the Aguada transmission station, which is the tallest man-made structure in Puerto Rico.

A local favorite eatery is the Plantano Loco, or The Crazy Plantain. Try out your taste buds on plantain favorites including plantain sandwiches and dumpling soup. There are also plantain pizza and plantain burgers on the menu. Of course, because of the convenience of having your own kitchen with your accommodations from Aguada vacation rentals, you can enjoy a private home-cooked meal. All these amenities and the beautiful Aguada area will make this a vacation to remember.
