  • As always our favorite place to relax

"This was our 4th visit to Casa Cavu. We plan to return. Our favorite place to vacation and relax. The house had a fresh coat of paint since the previous year. turtles nested at night at the foot of the palms and patio area. Rocia and Isidro, always the best in taking care of us. This year we took the boat out from Casa Cenote Water sports and snorkeled. 2.5 hours = $35 each. A bargain, and you can bring your own beer. They supply the equip, the boat, the driver, and the cooler. Its the simple things about this place we love."

  • Perfect romantic, private, peaceful retreat

"My fiance and I stayed in the casita for 6 nights this July and were in heaven. The casita has amenities we were seeking that the cabanas did not offer, like a full kitchen and air conditioning. Though, after seeing the two separate cabanas I think we would have been perfectly happy in one of them as well. First, we were greeted immediately by Art, the owner. He and his wife were both kind and available to ask questions of, but they were very respectful of our privacy and did not interfere at all with our quiet times. They reside on-site in a detached home near the casita. We had daily maid service and she was amazing!! Considering the enormous amounts of sand we tracked in along with little bugs and who knows what else, we always returned to a clean and neat home. It is hard to convey just how special this place is, but it was exactly what we wanted for the right price. I looked from Akumal down to Tulum, and had stayed in Soliman Bay twice before, but the prices were not within our range, and we only needed a bed, bath and kitchen, not an elaborate mansion or pool. This fit the bill. The bay just steps from your sliding glass door is calm and fun to snorkel in, and there are three decent restaurants just south walkable along the beach or road from the casita and cabanas. I would hope anyone booking here understands that Tankah is nothing like Cancun...the restaurants close up at nine, and they are far from fancy. People come here for peace and to soak in the beauty of this area not for partying or late nights. A car rental is probably necessary to 90% of visitors, and it was nice for us to have one since we bought groceries in Tulum (huge market[s] there) and went to a couple nearby areas for the day. Having the full kitchen in the casita was handy and we prepared almost all our meals in the casita since it is equipped with everything you need. If you feel the need for a little pampering there is a big resort 5 minutes drive south called Dreams. We got the 1/2 day pass for $50 per person and got all you can eat and drink, from 12 to 6pm. They have a swim up bar, several restaurants, kayaks for borrowing, you name it. It was fun to have the little luxuries, but everywhere we went we just wanted to get back to this little Slice of Paradise in Tankah! In closing, be prepared to fall in love here. With nature, with yourself or your partner all over again, and with just being still!!"

  • Excellent

"Everything about this home was wonderful, well maintained and cared for. The on site staff were lovely, very friendly and were there but unobtrusive throughout the time we were there. Our kids loved the two dogs that live there as they felt like they were in their own home. Whilst you can't swim directly off the beach, we kayaked out each day, through the anchors and swam in the crystal warm waters. The house is fully equipped and really comfortable. Highly recommended..."

  • Shhh! Let's keep it our secret!

"Everything was great. Edith and Yobany were gracious, accommodating, and helpful, the food was delicious (all 8 of us agreed, the best Chile Rellenos EVER), and the house is lovely and well laid out. We made use of both the kayaks and the SUPs, and snorkeled in front of Casa Cenote restaurant every day. There are plenty of activities close by if you want to venture out - we recommend Alltournative Maya Experience, Tulum and Coba ruins, Dos Ojos cenote (bring an underwater flashlight!), Yal Ku at Akumal for colorful fish snorkeling and Akumal Bay to see turtles (no charge, except to park), and of course Casa Cenote (best chips and Ojo Rojo) and Blue Sky restaurants (excellent Fetuccini Alfredo) and Cenote Manatee right there at Tankah. Or, you can just chill at the pool, walk on the beach, and take in the gorgeous views. This was our 3rd trip to the Riviera Maya but our first at Casa Soleada, and we've already booked for next year."

Tankah Travel Tips

Search no More: Tankah Vacation Rentals

You've made a decision: this year will be different. It will be special. It will be exciting. It will be forever remembered as your family's ultimate vacation. You've been saving for it, wanting to offer the ones you love the trip of a lifetime. You just don't know where that trip will actually take them. You've done your research but everything seems too similar, too common. You want something new and unexpected. Then why aren't you looking at Tankah vacation rentals?

Treat Yourself to Perfection with Tankah Resorts

You know what you want-that reward of your family's laughter. But earning that is difficult and requires the right destination. You can't just travel anywhere. You need Tankah, because there you will find amazing attractions that are sure to please. Dive into crystal water and discover reefs. Tour the surrounding jungles and spy unfamiliar creatures. Fill your nights with the local flavor of music and dancing in the many clubs. Swim with dolphins. And, of course, visit the largest underwater cave system in the world. It will truly fascinate.

Don't Forget the Value of Planning Ahead

While Tankah may by a tropic delight, it is certainly not a secluded one. Countless people journey there every year to enjoy its activities (you won't be the only one who wants to see the ruins of the ancient city of Coba, after all, or view the second largest reef on Earth). If you're not careful, you'll find yourself stuck in a tiny room on the back end of town. Don't let that happen. Look to Quintana Roo Mexico condos instead. There are homes that will guarantee you and your family the best locations and the best comforts; all without forcing you to share. Tankah is the opportunity you've been hoping for. Don't mar it by underestimating the crowds.
