  • Sweet Peace in Homer!

"Upon arriving (great directions) we opened the door and just fell in love with the place. My wife saw the first bedroom and took to putting our luggage in the there. And decided that the master was ours, as there was a picture window to view outside. Plush beds! Bathroom updated with a great shower. Kitchen was perfect with coffee maker, full-size fridge, stove, etc. We used some of the amenities (condiments in the fridge) and we left some. Wasn't totally out of stuff like others we have used. The outside is wonderful with a creek that you actually can hear rushing through the property. A gazebo outside for smokers and just sitting. Only the powering up of the airplanes did we hear. A sweet and beautiful place. Thanks so much."

  • Perfect Home Base for Homer

"We loved the architecture and detail in this home - views from every window. This was a very comfortable and quiet base for us. We liked the private entrance and sun deck off the main level. We had a car but were able to walk to the old part of town, the beach, shopping, and an awesome kids' park. The house is 2-bedroom but very spacious. And it worked so well for kids with a big soaking tub and safety gates on the stairs. Also a great place to get some work done - wifi and comfortable desks on both levels. We especially appreciated the opportunity to get some laundry done on our own time. Our hosts were so helpful and patient with us, too! Thank you for a beautiful getaway."

  • Great home base for exploring the area!

"Laura has done an amazing job with Girdwood Goodnight! No detail was overlooked in creating this cozy, comfortable, clean home away from home. It's located in a residential neighborhood which made a great home base to explore all the area has to offer. While this isn't a bed and breakfast, Laura left us enough goodies to make our own breakfast on our own schedule. We actually preferred that. The weather wasn't cooperative when we were in the area and several of our planned activities were canceled. We emailed Laura and she quickly replied with great rainy day suggestions."

  • Fantastic place.

"My husband and I stayed 2 nights here. Wanted to stay longer. The grounds are beautiful with connecting streams and a small pond. Much bird life. Clean quaint cabins. The place is very quiet and perfect for relaxing after hiking or fishing the great trails and streams nearby. Kent and Melanie are great hosts and Melanie is a dynamite creative cook. So nice to have full course dinner when you return each day. We will send friends and we will be back too! T and C"
